Shadow Hearts
Yuri 9/10 - One of the best main characters out there? Covenant might give him a perfect ten. What is it with leading men named Yuri?
Alice 7.5/10 - Charming and sympathetic, though can be bland aside from a few scenes.
Zhuzhen 6/10 - Pretty cool old man. Gets the funny and serious stuff down.
Margaret 5.5/10 - Mostly just there aside from a few scenes.
Keith 4/10 - Whatever.
Halley 4.5/10 - Don't get the utter loathing, but still not even average.
Sea Mother 6/10 - I would abstain, but SEA MOTHER.
Koudelka 6/10 - Don't know her game, but cool enough I guess anyways.
Kato 6.5/10 - Just a decent side character here.
Kawashima 6/10 - Her too.
Roger Bacon 8/10 - Bacon is the man.

Wugui 5/10 - Creepy dude who is there a few times.
Dehuai 5.5/10 - Nice and villainous.
Olga 2/10 - Blahblahblah.
Albert Simon 6.5/10 Stylish, prim-and-proper jerkass.

BONUS - CAVE STORY!!!
Quote 4.5/10 - Silent main with a nice hat.
Curly 6/10 - Cuuuurly.
King 4/10 - Not a very cool dude, but he does something.
Toroko 4/10 - Something.
Sue 5/10 - OK.
Kazuma 4/10 - Meh.
Professor Booster 5/10 - SCIENCE.
Momorin Abs.
Jenka 5.5/10 - Makes you wear puppy-hats.

Balrog 8/10 - HUZZAH!
Misery 6.5/10 - Kinda neat.
The Doctor 4.5/10 - Not bad for what he is!
Ballos 5.5/10 - Freaky-ass backstory and all that.
"Turning into bats? Laughable!" says sparkly telepathic Volvo-driving vampire who spent century in high school.

Shadow Hearts
Yuri: 7.5/10. He's cool and interesting but when I think back to SH1...there's not a whole lot there. SHC is the game that really makes him totally awesome.
Alice: 6/10. Decent for what she is, but nothing special.
Zhuzhen: 4/10. HEY I HAVE PAST WITH BEN HYUGA AND AM THE BROTHER OF THE FIRST HALF'S VILLAIN! ...amazing how little they do with that.
Margaret: 3/10. Someone they do almost nothing with. They force out the Orphanage stuff but the fact that I can't even remember what she did there says a lot.
Keith: 4/10. A metrosexual vampire needs more than one scene of amusement.
Halley: 3.5/10. Half a point for "I HATE YOU!", but otherwise, just kind of there.
Sea Mother: DNR. No reason to be on this list.
Koudelka: 2/10. A generic voice throughout most of the game, then she pops up and doesn't really do much the rest of the game other than...be a macguffin.
Kato: 5/10. Mostly just a cronie to his boss, and just sort of there cause Kawashima needed someone to speak to, but he's fine for that.
Kawashima: 7/10. I actually liked her and thought she was well done.
Roger Bacon: 6/10. Kind of amusing for the short spurt we see him, but he's sadly got not enough screen time to justify more.

Wugui: 2/10. Lamer.
Dehuai: 2/10. Lamer.
Olga: 2/10. Lamer with breasts, except she's an ugly hag so she can't even get that going for her.
Albert Simon: 3/10. I guess that end speech before the final boss was kind of...alright...and he has a cool hat!

Grandia III
Yuki: 4/10. Showed potential to be fun early game...then did nothing the rest of the game, hurrah.
Alfina: 2.5/10. A bad female lead, but not in anyway that really stands out, just kind of generically bad. Loses half a point for the Emelious related idiocy of "He's not a bad guy, honest!" "HE JUST KILLED 3 GODS AND LAUGHED MANIACALLY ABOUT IT!" "HE'S A GOOD GUY I SWEAR!"
Ulf: 3.5/10. He has...has...has...I got nothing...I guess half a point for not being offensive much?
Dahna: 3/10. RAVEN'S GIRLFRIEND OMG! ...that's all she had.
Miranda: 6/10. Cool for when she's around, then she falls for Alonso and stops existing. *sighs*
Alonso: 1/10. He fails a lot, but for some reason I can't justify putting him at 0/10.
Hect: 4/10. Little girl mage with Violin! That's...more interesting than most of the cast...yeah, lets give her higher rating than most!
Schmidt: 4/10. I guess he deserves a point for showing some level of development with the angst thing or something, but uhh...yeah, I got nothing.
Raven: 2.5/10. Just kind of there to be Emelious buddy then...turn on him and...fail miserably? I mean, what? USELESS CHARACTER IS USELESS!

Emelious: 4/10. The Seifer Clause makes him not nearly as bad as he could be, cause its so obvious you're NOT suppose to like him, and you're suppose to despise him (which makes Alfina's actions really questionable from a writing stand point), so in that regard, they succeeded. Emelious' issue, however, is that G3 Writing is still shit, so that clause only saves him from worst of the worst.
Xorn: 7/10. Major bonus points for wanting to destroy the G3 World! Also, hilarious hamtastic value!
Violetta: 3/10. Generic female henchman
La-Ilim: 2/10. IIRC, this guy can barely even talk and does nothing other than fail it up as you fight him.
Kornell: 6/10. Hilarious stuff in the early parts of the game, would be higher if he was consistently keeping that up, but the game sort of forgets he exists and turns him into the "Big Strong Bruiser" counterpart to Violetta, as far as Henchman go.
That Guy With the Beret: Who?

[21:39] <+Mega_Mettaur> Sonic Chaos
[21:39] <+Hello-NewAgeHipsterDojimaDee> That's -brilliant-.

Torn out of my downtime right after DLCon, so this might have to wait a day or two to update. Will close on Monday when I (hopefully) return to Morgantown.

Shadow Hearts
Yuri: 7.5/10. Like Meeple, I'm sorta less enamoured of pure SH1 Yuri than some. He's fun, but doesn't really have a huge amount of depth.
Alice: 4/10. Zzz.
Zhuzhen: 3/10. Wait, he was Dehuai's brother? Minus one point because I don't even remember this.
Margaret: 3/10. SH SUPPORTING CAST.
Keith: 3/10. Whatever.
Halley: 4/10. I like him a bit more than the rest because he actually had a character conflict, even if he's a bit of a tool.
Sea Mother: 1.5/10. lolwhat
Koudelka: 6/10. I liked her.
Kato: 5/10. Shopkeep final boss!
Kawashima: 6/10. Pretty effective for what she was.
Roger Bacon: 7/10. Fake naming screen.

Wugui: 4/10. Like that Rescue Rangers episode where Dale gets a magic meteorite.
Dehuai: 5/10. Had presence.
Olga: 3/10. Didn't.
Albert Simon: 3/10. Hurt by SH2's retcon possibly, not that he was any good to start with. HEY GUYS I HAVE A TOP HAT.

Grandia III
Yuki: 5/10. The plane love is funny.
Alfina: 2/10. Fails. Not really in new and exciting ways, but yeah.
Ulf: 3.5/10. Likes food.
Dahna: 2.5/10. Has boobs.
Miranda: 6/10. Pretty funny, even if she isn't really believably motherly.
Alonso: 1/10. Awful. Game tries to make this failure come off as cool.
Hect: 3/10. Violin.
Schmidt: 3/10. He was better in Up.
Raven: 1/10. Laughably useless.

Emelious: 6/10. After the replay he comes off as quite funny to me.
Xorn: 7.5/10. But not as funny as this guy.
Violetta: 4/10. Awww Emelious tried to kill me <3 <3 <3
La-Ilim: 2/10. Projectile vomit! And nothing else.
Kornell: 6.5/10. DID YOU JUST CALL ME A PEABRAIN?
That Guy With the Beret: 1.5/10. lolwhat

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.

Ulf- 3/10.
Dahna- 3/10.
Miranda- 7/10. Makes me smile.

Hect- 3/10.
Schmidt- 2/10.
Raven- 2/10.

Emelious- 0/10. Not only fails in all ways, makes it impossible to even take the game as a comedy. He's taken too seriously to enjoy anything about the game after he shows up.

Violetta- 3/10.
La-Ilim- 2/10.

Shadow Hearts
Yuri: 9. Awesome. Not as awesome as in SH 2
Alice: 4. Not really there much for what she was.
Zhuzhen: 5. Funny when he's around. And what, Dehaui's brother?! I don't...think so?
Margaret: 5. Likable when she's around
Keith: 2. This wasn't a character
Halley: 3. Angsty, but not without reason. Not to say it made me care.
Sea Mother: DNR
Koudelka: 8. Badass enough to torment Yuri across half a continent while imprisoned. Most points because she's motherfucking Koudelka though
Kato: 2. Annoying in this game
Kawashima: 5
Roger Bacon: 7

Wugui: 3. Was there, not really creepy
Dehuai: 4. Was there
Olga: 6. Slightly creepy means that she fulfilled her purpose

Made a change or two to the inclusion/exclusion criteria: 50% is the cut-off mark now.

I will always try to grab as many major characters as possible - I may miss some, so please do add-in votes for major ones.

Also, I should...probably use descriptions for some characters? Didn't help Grau much (aka, Guy with the Beret; go 1:04 into this video...HE DOES EXIST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e--VoVtPEB0), but might have helped Momorin, aka, Sue's mother >_>

Argh. I don't remember enough Rescue Rangers to do them justice I don't think. Dammit. Should totally pick up the DVDs~

Final Fantasy IV
Cecil- 4/10. had an alright character arc going. Too bad it ended a quarter of the way into the game.
Rosa- 3/10. zzz.
Kain- 2/10. Douche.
Cid- 6/10. Makes me smile.
Rydia- 4/10. See Cecil.
Tellah- 4/10. Memorable at least.
Edward- 4/10. Same.
Yang- 3/10.
Palom- 3/10.
Porom- 3/10. Twins were kinda annoying but for some reason I like the turn to stone thing.
Edge- 4/10. ... nah, probably shouldn't give him DL points.
FuSoYa- 4/10.

Milon- 3/10.
Cagnazzo- 3/10. The whole king impersonation thing wasn't played out enough.
Valvalis- 4/10.
Rubicante- 5/10.
Golbez- 4/10.
Zemus/Zeromus- 2/10.

Characters will get both a standard and demon path score. I'll bold the higher one- take it for the averages.

Soul Nomad
Revya- 5/10. A bit generic. Probably intentional, but anyway.
3/10. I like how Revya goes in the demon path, but it's on a meta level; like, I feel like the game said 'oh, you want to be OMG FUCKIN EVAL? Well here ya go...'. But the character herself is pretty blah.
Gig- 9/10. Gig makes the game awesome.
7/10. Fun, but loses a lot of his best targets of ridicule, plus of course the other characters upstage him much more often.
Danette- 5/10. She gives gig a lot to work with, but I never felt like it reflected well on her. Dunno why really.
7/10. She makes a decent hero, but more than that she really sold the sense of betrayal the demon path should have.
Levin- Goddammit OK. See below.
Vitali- 6/10. He's just... cool. No real depth, just cool.
5/10. Purely hurt because he's the same character with less screentime.
Juno- 4/10. Window into a typical "fuck you humans" culture.
5/10. She, after Danette, calls you out on your crimes the most. Someone's gotta do it.
Grunzford- 5/10. Cool old guy or something. NOt special at it.
4/10. More or less like Vitali, the same guy but less often.
Tricia- 4/10. Just sorta around.
5/10. In this case, I think I am willing to give meta points. Actually going this route with the character is gutsy.
Odie- 6/10. Worth a smile.
4/10. DRASTICALLY less screentime.
Endorph- 7/10. Not only did Walnut grow up some, he's actually... cool.
5/10. Screentime, again.
Thorndyke- 4/10. Fairly stock character.
6/10. Not so much stock.
Galahad- 3/10. A bit annoying really.
7/10 PRISM. BEIGE.
Pinot- 3/10.
5/10. Poor cherub.
Agrippa- 3/10.
Same. Doesn't really get much screentime to do anything else on the demon path.
Vangogh- 5/10. I like the accent.
No Demon path rating. I can't say for sure he has more than a token "I'm still alive" line.
Rockum- See below.
Sockum- For the life of me I can't tell them apart. Do they even have different personalities? They get a 5/10 as a unit, with no demon path rating, but separately I'd DNR them.
Layna- 4/10. Her perkiness is nice, but she's a backstory character at heart.
As above.
Penn- 4/10. Not terribly memorable.
6/10. He's jsut so INTO the evil.
Alexemia- DNR. Just not a significant force, despite being a Queen and all.
Christophe- 5/10. I like having a guy like him solidly on your team, but not super interesting beyond concept.
I don't think he does much in the demon path.
Euphoria- 4/10. Needed more done with her to really make her stand out.
Diness- Oh, the Empress. Well, DNR in the main path, I can't say for sure she ever actually appears.
4/10. And still isn't much when she is around.
Geshtal- 5/10. You kinda feel bad for him.
Same.
Haephness- DNR. Not an active presence in the game.
Virtuous- 7/10. Pretty badass in her manipulations.

Shauna- 3/10. What a bitch.
6/10. It's a compelling little sideplot.
Cuthbert- I just... don't remember him well.
Kanan- 3/10. Typical evil cultist type.
5/10. Funny how much better that works when it's on your side.
Lobo- 6/10. Exists to prove that you don't have to be a genocidal maniac to be evil.
5/10. Exists to say "holy shit just how evil ARE you". He's really quite different in role if not in character, but I dont' think he's as effective.
Feinne- 3/10. Fienne's kinda force-of-nature style, since she's completely unwilling to do what she's doing
And just doesn't get any love in the demon path, despite changing sides.
Thuris- 4/10. Ehh.
3/10. But moreso.
Raksha- SPOILARS!!!! Okay, so the game is pretty clear that, while Euphoria is controlled by Raksha, Levin is POSSESSED by Raksha and his soul is more or less totally overwritten (though Raksha did pick up a trait or two from him). So bad OK separating them. Moving on.
8/10. Levin is kinda endearing in his stupidity, then turning it around and making it all obfuscating stupidity is brilliant. I like how the play the conflict for the character too.
6/10. The whole 'well, I really liked playing the hero' justification was pretty nice, but ultimately you see a lot less of him and the reveal is just presented out of hand, since you're assumed to already know this.
Drazil- 4/10. Douche.
Same.
Gamma- DNR
Joules- DNR
Dio- 3/10. Douche.
6/10. In the demon path, meanwhile, I really felt like, no, Dio isn't just a powerful guy who's making a mockery of you, he really is manipulating the scene pretty well. That he realizes he needs to band together with the heroes, rather than counting on Median to right all the wrongs, is also a nice character shift I wish they'd used in the main path.

OK is the best. Screw RPGs!

BONUS!!!! - Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers
Chip: 5/10. He's kinda there. I don't feel too strongly about him.
Dale: 8/10. Really funny. All the best episodes are when he has to save the day despite his incompetence.
Monterey Jack: 4/10. See Chip, only he gets less lines. The cheese gimmick got old pretty fast.
Gadget: 7/10. Girl nerd, aw yeah. I remember thinking that was pretty cool even back at the time.
Zipper: 5/10. No real opinion, here. Amusing enough sometimes.

Fat Cat: 7/10. Magnificent (cat) bastard.
Professor Nimnul: 6/10. Crazy scientist is always good for some stock villainy.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

Shocked that people actually forgot who guy with the beret was. He's so badly out of left field that he stands out even among Grandia 3 for a sheer WTF factor!

Unlike CK, SN ranking is taking both paths into account. With the exception of Revya, pretty much everyone feels like the same character stuck in the alternate plot that is demon path (Tricia and Galahad being the fairly obvious exceptions)
Soul Nomad
Revya- 5. Worked for what he was supposed to be, game did the slow personality fusing of him and Gig well.
Gig- 9. Yep, made the game.
Danette- 6.5. Too dumb to live at first, but with plot reasons! Improves as the game continues, great at endgame and demon path.
Levin- 7
Vitali- 5. Yeah, basically riding on cool points.
Juno- 3. She's kind of embarrassing.
Grunzford- 4. There.
Tricia- 4. Grates slightly, but functions well enough.
Odie- 6.
Endorph- 7. Is fairly awesome.
Thorndyke- 3. Okay, barely a person on the main path, there are better on the Demon Path.
Galahad- 3. He's not worth a damn if it's not insane.
Pinot- 5. Basically has one awesome line normal path, surprisingly resilient demon path!
Agrippa- 3. Doesn't have an awesome line and is not resilient!
Vangogh- 5. Odie's group generally works well.
Rockum- 5. See above+these two are adorable.
Sockum- 5.
Layna- 5.
Penn- 2. Annoying. Better Demon Path, but still!
Alexemia- 4. There.
Christophe- 5. Characters works for what he was, nice idea.
Euphoria- 4. Eh. This works.
The Empress Diness- Think she had about 1 short scene on normal path. Demon Path...people tormented her, it was fun. This isn't a score, but it's not a DNR either.
Geshtal- 4. No real opinion. "There" isn't the descriptor I'd use, and that's usually by description for 4s!
Haephness- Uh...yeah, DNR.
Virtuous- No clue. I know she did stuff, but some of the SN overworld stuff got murky. I liked...well, what I liked can tie into a score lower on down.

Shauna- 6. Works pretty well for me as the recurring villain.
Cuthbert- 3. Uh, there minus. Is present, but lacks much character.
Kanan- 7. I found her arc incredibly entertaining. Crazy bitch who has been feeding people to her god for like 20 years! +1 for her delicious end.
Lobo- 3. Same as Cuthbert works.
Feinne- 6. Great end.
Thuris- 8. Was awesome. His arc is completely fun and quirky, and topped off with an insanely awesome battle. I found him excellently fun.
Raksha- 6. Nice reveal, Thuris was more fun though!
Drazil- 3. Let's not.
Gamma- 2
Joules- 2
Dio- 6. Does the cunning bastard role well.
...into the nightfall.

Final Fantasy IV
Cecil - 5.5 - Good for his time. Not bad in the remakes with the little bit of expansion he got in dialogue and backstory. Basically felt like he had a good introduction and then settled into almost a silent main role once the game got going.
Rosa - 1 - No.
Kain - 4 - Had some story at least. Drove the plot forward at times, and without him the game just wouldn't seem melodramatic enough. Hurt by the remakes more than anyone since they aren't as campy as the original.
Cid - 5 - Average old guy Cid, I just kinda like him.
Rydia - 6 - Average as a character, though she gets some funny lines and her plot arc wasn't bad.
Tellah - 6 - Average, but I liked when he was around and 'Spoony Bard' points.
Edward - 5 - I was going to give him a 3, but then I remembered that he was actually somewhat funny in the remakes.
Yang - 4 - But his wife is cool.
Palom - 4 - Point for turning to stone.
Porom - 4 - Same as Palom.
Edge - 6 - I like him.
FuSoYa - 3 - Just there.

Milon - 2 - Meh.
Cagnazzo - 2.5 - Meh + half point for 'I'm in ur party, lolz just kidding - I'ma eat you.'
Valvalis - 2 - Boobs.
Rubicante - 6 - Stylish villain for his time.
Golbez - 5 - Point for Dissidia.
Zemus/Zeromus - 1 - No.

Soul Nomad
Revya - 8 - Devourlord Revya is pretty sweet. Main game Revya gets quite a few amusing snarky lines to go along with Gig.
Gig - 10 - The Best. Only problem is that he makes the rest of the rather awesome cast look bad by comparison.
Danette - 8 - Like her. She's a well-constructed character, but completely eclipsed by Gig.
Levin - 10 - I can't hype this enough.
Vitali - 6 - Style points.
Juno - 6 - Not a bad version of her trope at all! Works nicely in the Demon Path.
Grunzford - 6.5 - Cool old-man trope guy, but has a few great lines.
Tricia - 8 - Found her to be a really likeable addition to the PC cast on the main path - she really suits their chemistry and plays off of Levin, Vitali, and Grunzford well. Demon Path is a pretty powerful scenario with her, too.
Odie - 7 - Somewhat of a one-note recurring boss guy who eventually joins you and then gets a scene of fuckin awesome. Kinda fades out of memory afterwards, though.
Endorph - 7 - Style points.
Thorndyke - 5.5 - Demon path is just unbalanced fun.
Galahad - 6.5 - Really liked his Demon path persona.
Pinot - 4 - Meh, only gets this high from Demon path.
Agrippa - 3 - Same, but less prominent.
Vangogh - 5.5 - Not bad for comic relief!
Rockum - DNR, but was funny enough.
Sockum - ditto
Layna - 7.5 - Background character until pretty late, so she doesn't get much development, but the story around her deserves a high score, and she was surprisingly personable despite her situation.
Penn - 5.5 - Funny in Demon path.
Alexemia - DNR
Christophe - 4.5 - Good creepy guy, but so unmemorable with the rest of the cast being so awesome.
Euphoria - 6 - Creeped me the fuck out, as intended. Nice.
The Empress Diness - DNR - just not important enough to merit a score, though she was fine as a background piece.
Geshtal - 3.5 - Honestly the only part of Soul Nomad that I felt really dropped the ball.
Haephness - DNR - Background piece.
Virtuous - 9 - Basically makes the whole game work and gives a really strong impression of her personality with relatively little screentime. Very good character work here.

Shauna - 7 - You really hate her, but you really like her. I waffle on how I feel about characters like this (reminds me a bit of Albedo in XS2)... But I feel she was effective, so I'll score her highly.
Cuthbert - 4.5 - His secret desire to tell jokes gets him this high, otherwise he's just kinda there.
Kanan - 7.5 - Awesome villain. Equally effective on both paths, too.
Lobo - 6 - Decent villain, CK's comments make me want to rate him higher, but I never picked up on those sorts of parallels in-game.
Feinne - 4 - Background piece, but a lot more prominent than most. Also more sympathetic.
Thuris - 8 - Awesome villain, works well with Kanan, made a really interesting Demon Path appearance.
Raksha - 10 - It's not a secret how much I like this character.
Drazil - 4 - Not as bad as Median, but another kinda worthless character among a stellar cast.
Gamma - DNR
Joules - DNR
Dio - 6 - Decent manipulative character!

BONUS!!!! - Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers
Chip - 3 - Does anyone like Chip? I mean, REALLY? I think only people who liked TMNT'S Leonardo like Chip. He's just boring.
Dale - 6 - Dale's where it's at. Funny and always the underdog. You just like rooting for him.
Monterey Jack - 6 - About the same as Dale, but he does serious stuff a little better; conversely his humor is pretty tiresome, even to a 6-year-old Djinn
Gadget - 8 - Really likeable character. Endearing and capable, with just enough humor and development that she doesn't feel like a Mary Sue. It always bugs me that they never reuse this character in other Disney stuff.
Zipper - 3 - Not bad for a character without a voice.

Fat Cat - 5 - Slimy jerk, but never felt threatening enough.
Professor Nimnul - Don't really remember him.

Final Fantasy IV
Cecil: 5/10. Good start, but becomes dull once he turns into a paladin.
Rosa: 3/10. To much damsel in distress for my taste and not very interesting. I don't recall her doing anything idiotic though which keeps her out of my hate induced scores.
Kain: 4/10. Drives the story forward and his struggle was somewhat interesting. I do however wish they had figured out something else than him loving Rosa, that element did nothing but make him pathetic and kills any possible sympathy one may have for him. Had he say been just as capable as Cecil, but Cecil received more recognition for the same effort and that made him feel envious, it would have been easier to emphasize with his situation. However, by not respecting that Rosa choose another man he had absolutely nothing going for him.
Cid: 5/10. Kinda likable for the screentime he had.
Rydia: 7/10. A bit like Cecil in that she has a good start, but becomes just there once her arc is over. I found her more likable and fun though.
Tellah: 6/10. Dies during his arc meaning he escapes the "just there" problem. Also stays dead. One bonus point for his famous line.
Edward: 4/10. Despite all the tragedy surrounding him, I found it hard to care. Him dispelling the heightened gravity with the power of music is just dumb. Had he died after that act I may have cared more.
Yang: 3/10. He's there. Also, congratulations to FF IV for making a "save the party by self-sacrifice" scene have the same emotional impact as a "let's shop from the grocery" scene.
Palom: 6/10. Feels relevant for all the time he spends in the party and then exits before he sinks into the "just there" hole. Also manages to have the only self sacrifice scene that had any impact on me. To bad his revival was anticlimactic, but no big deal.
Porom: 6/10. See Palom.
Edge: 5/10. Kinda fun at times, kinda annoying at times.
FuSoYa: 4/10. Uninteresting.

Milon: Abstain. Barely qualifies as a character.
Cagnazzo: Abstain. Despite him impersonating the king he still comes of as just a boss fight and not as a character.
Valvalis: See Milon.
Rubicante: 5/10. A decent effort at making a boss a character as well. Noble villain, but that's it though.
Golbez: 5/10. Could have been much better had Zemus not existed. He worked as a credible threat and him turning into a hand after a defeat was kind of cool. Him being controlled by Zemus and then having that control simple dispelled by FuSoYa is a kick in the balls though.
Zemus/Zeromus: 1/10. Should not have existed. His reveal just made the plot worse. Also, his hatred being so strong killing him just makes him more angry is just plain stupid.

BONUS!!!! - Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers
Chip: 4/10. The most "normal" one of the cast. Levelheaded characters can be just as fun and interesting as the quirky ones, but this is not the case here.
Dale: 6/10. More fun than Chip, but I never found him that funny.
Monterey Jack: 4/10. Very plain except for his cheese gimmick which is just that, a gimmick.
Gadget: 8/10. I remember her being capable and not much of a damsel in distress. Also likable and her nerdness wasn't overplayed to the point of irritation.
Zipper: 6/10. Likable and manages to express himself well without having a voice.

Fat Cat: 5/10. Pretty standard as a cartoon villain. I don't recall him having any gimmick that irritated me though, so that's always that.
Professor Nimnul: 5/10. Stock crazy scientist. Not fun or stylish or anything like that, but does his job to create problems for the Rescue Rangers to solve.

Final Fantasy IV
Cecil: 4/10. Standard Hero with good stuff early game, but I disagree about him not doing anything overly dumb; he's probably one of the biggest unintentional idiots I've ever seen when you actually look at some of the stuff he does.

EXAMPLE:
Cecil: We're going to the moon to stop Zeromus! Edge, Kain, LET'S GO! Rosa, Rydia, you girls stay back cause this is dangerous! Nevermind, we've been through dangerous stuff the entire game, and you two have been exceedingly helpful, what with Rydia saving us against Golbez and Rosa's being our only healer, WE CAN'T TAKE YOU! Also, lets ignore the fact that failure here means humanity is doomed ANYWAY!

There is no excuse for that, none. The amount of cutscene incompetence Cecil has throughout FF4 is pretty damn insulting when people say he's a great example of an RPG Main...I almost feel like Bartz's idiocy (which WAS intended) was inspired by Cecil's unintentional incompetence, given FF5 itself is a satire.

Rosa: 3/10. Proto-Rinoa. All she does is swoon over Cecil, then have something happen to her which turns her into a Damsel in Distress. I've heard arguments that she's suppose to represent Cecil's "Conscious" except that role kind of dies really early when Cecil clearly is doing the redemption thing, and its completely lost when he becomes a Paladin.
Kain: 3/10. He COULD have had Depth, but everything about him is "He gets mind controlled -> does bad things -> breaks free -> angsts about failures and blames himself!" No, a character whose wishy washy like that can only be pulled off *IF* they actually had free will in the manner; Kain was mind controlled on every front; oh sure, he was weak which caused it to happen, but the game shows on numerous occasions that Kain is a good person who would NOT do wrong if someone isn't controlling him, so I'm not pitying him.
Cid: 6/10. Actually kind of amusing; the only Disney Death in the game I can sympathize with, because it felt so over the top to the point that him LIVING actually adds to the hilarity, since that felt like his thing; a character you're not suppose to take seriously, just exists for the extra entertainment.
Rydia: 4/10. Her stuff as a child was kind of ok, and a stylish entrance as an adult. Thing is, she's dropped far worse than Cecil is as a character; after she rejoins, her entire character is "ho-hum, I'm just here to be a pretty, single black mage that fanboys will gush over, don't mind me." And then she has a "WAAAH! PEOPLE ARE GETTING HURT! I WON'T STAND FOR THIS! STOP PUSHING YOURSELVES ;_;" which comes OUT OF NOWHERE and is NEVER TOUCHED UPON AGAIN.
Tellah: 5/10. HIs stuff is sad, but honestly, that's about all it is. But its more than most of the cast.
Edward: 5.5/10. I'll give him props for having actual development; he does show off that "Really wants to help out, but is too weak to really do much" well enough, but sadly, not nearly enough screen time to really make it work beyond a "Well, he's got something" point.
Yang: 3/10. Personality-less vacuum of a Token Monk, with a bullshit "Hey, I'm alive, see!" scenario.
Palom: 3.5/10. Half a point for having a personality, but otherwise, "SUPER TALENTED KID AWAY!"
Porom: 3.5/10. Half a point for reprimanding Palom with her fist when he was getting annoying, but otherwise "SUPER TALENTED AND WELL-MANNERED KID AWAY!" who happens to be the polar opposite of her brother.
Edge: 5/10. He's kind of funny at times...kind of.
FuSoYa: 2/10. A plot device in the form of a PC, when it comes down to it.

Milon: 2/10. One scene wonder, and that one scene is pretty meaningless.
Cagnazzo: 3/10. He has more scenes than Milon, thus automatically better!?
Valvalis: 3.5/10. Half a point for mocking Kain.
Rubicante: 6/10. Hey look, the Honorable Bad Guy Trope done BEFORE it became the norm! I'll give him respect for that much at least.
Golbez: 5/10. Conflicted here; on one hand, his FF4DS form gives him actual backstory and a remote sense of depth, to the point where he shows shades of a decent character. on the other hand, FF4o, he's just another Kain, who like him, got mind controlled, recovers, then moans about all the bad things he did while controlled, then goes on the redemption thing. As a villain, he gets a point at least for being threatening, since he DOES tend to kick your teams ass when he appears, so that's something. I guess an "average" score works.
Zemus/Zeromus: 0/10. One of the worst Space Fleas of all time. He ONLY exists so Golbez could become a Darth Vader, instead of your standard threatening Evil villain. He exists, gets his ass kicked, his HATRED LIVES ON!!! ...then that gets its ass kicked after showing a single instance of competence, dying to the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!!! done in the tacky idiot style way (contrast to the Giant of Bab-il which was POWER OF FRIENDSHIP done in a more realistic "Your friends are all gonna help you out directly!" style, which I find somewhat better and considerably more stylish), but then he goes "I'M STILL NOT DEAD! MWAHAHAHAH! YES, THIS IS LOOSE SEQUEL BAIT THAT WILL BE TOTALLY IGNORED UNTIL 17 YEARS LATER, I WIN!"

yeah, I have almost no respect for FF4's overall cast; people who hype the cast really make me scratch my head cause there is almost nothing there.
[21:39] <+Mega_Mettaur> so Snow...
[21:39] <+Mega_Mettaur> Sonic Chaos
[21:39] <+Hello-NewAgeHipsterDojimaDee> That's -brilliant-.

[17:02] <+Tengu_Man> Raven is a better comic relief PC than A
