Soul Nomad (PCs+Generics): Run for the hills, Niu!

Notes.
1. Inclusion of Generics: Soul Nomad is a Squad Based Game where Generics make up about 75% of your force. As with similar game, given the importance of generics, it makes sense to include them in the averages.

2. Counters: IMO, SN characters can counter the following things: ST Attacks, Small AoE Attacks, Magical Healing.
SN characters can not counter the following things: MT or large AoE attacks, Physical Healing, Status, Buffs and Debuffs.
Note that I only allow characters to counter if they have a range advantage or if their turn is spent using Field Tactics. This is important just beyond just the normal countering because countering uses additional Stamina, meaning that if you allow free (Aka: Melee counters melee) counters everyone will get their specials much earlier and specials have a much stronger case for inclusion in the averages.

3. Range: I directly noted any attack I considered ranged in the topic. There might be some errors in the generic portion. If I listed an attack as semi-ranged, then if can travel across multiple squares but can only hit row 1. I think I'd only consider this ranged counter-wise if the character buffed and didn't directly attacked that turn.

4. Stamina and Specials: Each character can use Special Tactics when they are below 80% of their max STM. They lose 1 STM for each panel of movement, 5 for attacking, 5 for using a field tactic or special skill, and 5 for countering. Below 50% Stamina, they slowly start to lose stats. I don't have specific notes on this, but it's not overly potent.

5. Status Protection: There is a decor that immunes Status (A decor is an item that lasts only one plot battle). They are storebought in a random store, and are fairly common enough to allow. It's heavily worth noting though that SN status are

6. Typing: SN enemies have attacking and defensive strengths and weakness. It's generally Melee>Magic>Ranged>Melee, but there's a fair amount of variance. Attack Matches are listed in the order of biggest damage increase->biggest damage decrease. Defensive are listed in the opposite order. Please note that Attack Matches listed apply to every type of attack (Normal hits, Critical hits, Scrapes) regardless of attack power.

7. Typing Pt 2: There are a two basic ways to take typing. To either try to assign all enemies a class, or to make down attacks into their main elements and weapon types. I personally use a mix of the two. Rare classes like Wolves, Bards/Musicians, Dancers, Birds, and Dragons override defintions in the DL to me (So SH 2Blanca is basically just Phynx typed). However, for most humans DL opponents, I'd break up their types of damage. SH 2 Karin's physicals are female swordsman typed, and her magic is fire elemental. There isn't really a perfect balance in this, but I think it fits better than just using straight types or just using every little damage subset.

8. Typing Pt 3: Listing Order. I list Attacking/Defending Typings in the Following Order
1. Elemental Damage/Magic (Specific Elements are Underlined)
2. Melee Weapons (w/ Genders when applicable)
3. Ranged Weapons
4. Overriding Types (Bards, Birds, Dragons, Flying Mounted, Mounted, Plant, Wolves) (These are bolded and italized)

9. Typing Pt 4: Equivalents
Fire/Lighting/Water/Dark Magic = Pyremage/Dracosage/Hydrone/Schemestress
Non Elemental/Holy Magic = Average of the 4 above classes, heavily weighted on Pyremage and Dracosage (far more common enemies)
Wind Attacks= Even weighing of Gryphos, Gryphos Riders and Whirwins
Earth Attacks= Ghobbs
Dark/Fire/Lightning/Water Physicals = GestahlDrache/Phynx Knights/Hydrones
Healers= Clerics
Wind Healers= Cherubs

Arrows/Bombs/Guns/Plants = Archers/Saboteurs/Seraphs/Deathblossoms
Ranged Attacks = Average of the 4 above classes, weighted evenly
Dancing=Gypsy
Music=Bards


Axemen, Hammers = Redflank
Axewomen= Whirwins
Fists= Bareknuckles
Swordsmen= Even weighing of Knight and Soldier
Swordswomen = Swordsmen
Spears= Nereids
Knives= Bandits
Mounted (Ala FE Knights) = Phynx Knights
Flying Mounted (Ala FE Peg Knights) = Gryphos Riders
Dragons = Draches
Wolves/Cats/Dogs = Phynxes
Birds = Gryphos


10. Damage Listing: The first number listed is the average damage. This is factoring in normal attacks, critical attacks, and hit rate (Hit further factors scrapes and misses). I list the normal, crit, and scrapes later in this manner:

Example Attack- 100 Physical Damage (80/150/10)
...where 80 is the base damage, 150 is the damage on critical hits, and 10 is the damage on scrapes.

11. Defenses: Are effectively about worth 1/3 of their listed value.

12. Buffs: Duration and Complexities of Effects:
-->Buffs decrease in stats 20% each turn. It two buffs are cast together, the 2nd buffs work on the base stat, not on the current stat.
-->Attack buffs obviously effect average damage, normal damage, critical damage, AND scrape damage. For the sake of space, I only listed the average attacks. I haven't even touched attack buffs with typing in play, which basically needs about 5 times the listing!
-->Sample buff note (Turn 1 only relevant against slower)
Generic HIT Buff: 76%, 69%, 64%, 60%, 60%, 56%, 53%,
-->-->When I explain buffs, I list practical effects against average. This theoretical buff raises accuracy to 76%, then 69%, then 64%.... You'll note that 60% is doubled. This is because buffs wear off based on the overall turn count, and sometimes people double during overall turns. The faster a character is, the longer their effective buffing lasts.
-->-->Turn 1 only relevant against slower=against faster opponents, the first turn of the buff wouldn't have any advantage in game because the turn would end before the buffer would be targetted. Attack buffs are only relevant turn 1 against slower enemies if the buff counters.

13. Stats
Ones that need some explanation
ACT: Speed. 20% less potent than the stat would imply. Effective stat listed.
Relative Evasion: Evasion scaled as a stat (Meaning that people with bad evasion are not given points solely for the game having evasion)
Raw Evasion: Unscaled Evasion

First note: All non-Demon Path stuff is now up except for Another Kiss specifics (Although I'm betting it's full healing+30% Evasion+Speed increases).

Second note: No stat seems to check status (I'm betting it's level), so everyone is effectively average against status. Of course, there is the storebought decor (Which I respect more now knowing it also got stat downs, which tended to be the more dangerous thing in SN).

Third note: Base damage. I say base because sometimes people will have access to their specials within three turns. How often depends on how often you let them counter! You of course could say that because they can never really do it reliably, specials shouldn't count (Since full MT isn't too rare DL wise). As such, here's the full average.
