RPGDL 2013 Season 1 Noms

The Rules are as follows.

1. Please nom 4 to 6 characters in each division (Godlike, Heavy, Middle, Light)
2. Nom an even number of characters in each division.
3. Use characters from games on the Ranked List.  Keep in mind any valid dueller from those games, be they PCs, temps, bosses, or classes, are viable noms in CK DL, barring specific duellers listed as Bluelike.
4. Cid Raines (Final Fantasy XIII) is not eligible to return this season.  Similarly, Alicia (Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria), Palom (Final Fantasy IV), and Rinoa Heartlily (Final Fantasy VIII) have automatic bids this season as returning champions in the next division up and need not be nommed.

Fina was ranked in the DL as a Middle, but she's sooooo bad without grinding for a Cupil Ring, she should probably be Light really.  But eh, we'll see.

But Cupil Ring kind of gives a decent stand in for Focus Robe, which while technically illegal, is so close plotwise that it feels like the boon evens out (Also at Cupil Ring is a rare drop, but not from a rare or difficult enemy).

Checking the Interwebs...  ah yes, Focus Robe is Pinta's Quest only on the DC version (played it on my college roommate's DC), and screw that.  It's gotten from one of the special bounty battles they added in Legends, so I suppose Focus Robe would be more relevant on a GC playthrough.

The enemies aren't hard, no, but they're in the final dungeon - a comparatively short dungeon compared to the rest of the game - and the drop rate is really bad (1/64 or something).  Okay, the enemies can come in packs which helps a little, but meh, you're still grinding, and Fina's main money moves in a normal playthrough don't even care that much about her Will (full healing is full healing no matter what, 100% ID is 100% ID, and lol lategame Skies attack magic), so you don't get THAT much out of it anyway at that late date.  (Focus Robe gotten earlier would have potentially been more relevant, though, sure.)

You can at least make it relevant enough in the GC version (I mean...I'd rather use +100 Will Stone for Fina turn 1 than save up for 100% ID at 15 or something SP. I'd say it's the best general attack option, letting her tie up enemies without using too many resources).

Jude is kind of a Heavy in terms of effective duelling power. Since CKDL noms don't necessarily follow how the rankings ended up in the DL proper, but -do- account the duelling worth of a character regardless, this may be relevant.

EDIT: This also might apply to Estella, but she feels intuitively worse than Jude relatively!

I don't think Vexacion is a Heavy, provided one considers focusing. (And most people do.) Spammable 138% damage (using the lower listed figure) off durability which is at least decent thanks to 275 absolute defence is pretty excellent, even if he's slow (on turn 1) and has poor def. He reached the Godlike finals of Not Ranked once.

edit: While on the subject of bosses probably too good for Heavy, there's Gy-Laguiah. He's basically Zio with an ice weakness and no MT. Same very high 2HKO to either defence off excellent durability.

What division DOES Jude belong in?

He can put out OHKO damage before most people get their second turn (25000 at 1.92 average speed turns), and he's incredibly tanky to physicals, but the damage goes down vs. speedsters and he's very very very vulnerable to magic.

Feels kinda like a borderliner?
