Here we are, the moment you've all been waiting for, the final round! Six songs remain, vying to become the best(or worst, as the case may be), and only you can decide which will remain standing when the dust clears. This round will remain open until midnight EST on Sunday, June 14.

Nefertiti (Mana Khemia) vs. EXEC_SPHILIA/. (Ar Tonelico 2) - SPHILIA might not be my pick for champion, but it's in the Godlike bracket, which is good enough. I like Nefertiti but it just isn't the same league as a lot of other stuff.
Yakumo, you might be thinking of me re: DHE, to some extent? I don't *hate* most Ar Tonelico music, but a lot of it is notably annoying. SPHILIA is one of the few exceptions, to me, that I can like unreservedly.

Tiebreaking based on the fact that Canta still isn't old to me after 5 years or so and thus has passed a certain amount of the test of time, while I only found out about Destiny in this tournament and it might eventually wear.

No, I actually checked the last tournament topic just to see, and it was NEB who said it was the best of the AT music. That said, I guess he never said it was good, just better than the rest, so not quite what I was thinking. :P

Nefertiti (Mana Khemia) vs. EXEC_SPHILIA/. (Ar Tonelico 2) - Now this is an interesting match. These two tracks represent two totally different styles: one is fast and exciting while the other is more slow and deliberate. Nefertiti basically starts out as "Okay 321 RAWK" and then continues to rawk nonstop for two straight minutes. I'm not saying that's a bad thing -- there's no denying that Nefertiti is a good track -- but I kind of feel like the champion should offer a bit more than that. To me, Sphilia just sounds like the more developed track. I mean, it has an introduction, a build-up, a climax, and then an ending -- kind of like reading a good book. I suppose that analogy fits: Sphilia is like reading a novel while Nefertiti is like reading a comic book. Both are good, but they're just different strokes for different folks, you know? Good match either way, but Sphilia takes it for me.

Key to my Heart (Tales of Destiny 2) vs. Dragon Slayer (Dragon Slayer) - I still don't see what the big deal is about Key to my Heart. Yeah, it's lame and cheesy, but at least I can sit through the whole thing with my sanity still intact (which is more than can be said for, say, Bitter Dance). Dragon Slayer's mindless beeping isn't too terribly bad, but it's enough to out-fail a mildly annoying but otherwise inoffensive song.

Canta Per Me (Noir) vs. Destiny ~Taiyou no Hana (Black Jack 21) - This one could go either way, really. Both are good, but I can't help but feel that they both lack that special something to be champ-worthy. Eh, I'll go with Destiny, but I won't be disappointed either way.

(Ar Tonelico 2) - Both tracks are definitely something, I really like them both, however, where Nefertiti is... pretty much the same good old thing, SPHILIA is lots of things I like put into one. AT music tends to be really stunningly beautiful for me anyway, so blah. I have no doubt that this will take the finals, but I won't be upset if it doesn't.

Key to my Heart (Tales of Destiny 2) vs. Dragon Slayer (Dragon Slayer) - I KNEW it would come down to this. I have not failed to not vote against them in their matches, and now I have to make a decision here. Key to my Heart really makes me want to kill myself. Dragon Slayer on the other hand... Well if I could BEAT the damn game TWICE that must mean the music isn't terribly bad.

Canta Per Me (Noir) vs. Destiny ~Taiyou no Hana (Black Jack 21) - Decent match here. Canta Per Me is really nice but there's something about Destiny that really strikes me in some sort of evocative sense. I don't quite know how to describe it. Therefore, Destiny my vote goes. In this bracket, both songs are winners anyway.

Nefertiti (Mana Khemia) vs. EXEC_SPHILIA/. (Ar Tonelico 2): I really can't see Nefertiti being anywhere near champ tier even if you like it a lot. Meanwhile SPHILIA continues to be awesome and awe-inspiring.
