Title: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: superaielman on September 05, 2009, 03:28:55 PM
Posting this to get an idea of interest. We've had one the last few years, another would be cool.

Timeframe: Mid December. Location and the rest is still up in the air, but I'm up for suggestions but would prefer it to be closer than NY if possible. Any ideas? Who's interested?

EDIT: 18th of December to the 20th of December. Maybe coming in on the 17th (Thursday night) as well.

Yes

1. Super
2. Pyro
3. Shale
4. Meeple
5. OK
6. Xer
7. CT

I'm up for it.  I'm coming back from Las Vegas around December 12, so any time after that works.  I'd love to go wherever...I'd offer my place, though it might not fit, depending on the number of people (and is a bit further than people probably want to go....Virginia would be the best, I think?)

Not going to say "I'm coming!" until it's down in writing/ticket's booked but yeah looking good this time~

If it's in VA I'll go.

Count me in, as usual.

I'd offer to hold it, but I'm pretty sure at least some people want to avoid NJ, so...

Well if it's eastern seaboard, then it's not out of the question. I'll see when classes end in December, though people probably don't want to hold it too close to Christmas.

I highly doubt I'll be able to go, as I'll be in Florida then, but we'll see where it is and how it's going down before I fully count myself out.

Options for hosting:

A: Pyro. We know he can swing a minimeet, he's a good host and if OK was coming, carpooling with potential people (Cid/Xer, at worst just picking up Cid's stuff he needs to return) could work. Bit far for Meeple/OK to come though.
B: Meeple. Can host and has space, but I'd hate to put his parents out like that twice in a year and it is a long way. Plus I may choke his brother out ECW style if I hear him say the word 'trainwreck' again.
C: Cid. Almost certainly out/has other things on his plate right now.
D: Shale.  Also centrally located, but the apartment is a bit small for this and Milford sucks.  Edit: I could talk Dekar into coming to this minimeet if we hosted it here though!

18th of december to the 20th is the time I was thinking? School's out for everybody in that case.

I might actually come if that's the time period.  My family's meeting in Ottawa for Christmas, and for Visa reasons I may be unable to leave the US at that time, but I could come to the minimeet, and afterwards grab a hotel just south of the border so that they can drive across and we can spend a little time together.

There is a Norfolk close to both myself and Pyro, but it's regional. (We're like 12ish hours from Ottawa and 11 from the Canada border, so yeah.)

Forgive my ignorance, but what's a Norfolk?

Norfolk is a town close to where Super and Pyro live that has a regional airport. Believe he meant "airport" there.

My apartment is a bit small itself, but I'm willing to host as many people as would be comfortable.

I'm game if it's in the Virginia area. If it's much more North, consider me out. It'd be easier for transportation, etc if I'm not guaranteed the car two days to pick things up. I'd love to come though. Plus my native birth of my wonderfulness is December 12, so I may come packing cupcakes.

While I have plenty of time to do this, I might as well get this question out of the way now, for future reference.

I have two ways of coming into the Minimeet, though, only one of which needs to be brought up:

Should I take a Greyhound directly down there, where should I take it to?

Don't think I can come now. I don't have the time. Job won't let me take off for any time passed Thanksgiving til the New Year is over. If I manage to bypass it by saying "I'll be out of state anyway," and convince my mother to let me when I'm supposed to be furniture shopping in December, we'll see. I'm now a maybe. :| It's just three or so days right? I'll try to figure something out if it's manageable.

Got my Greyhound Ticket.  Coming in Thursday Night, cause its a long bus ride and better to just come a night earlier.  Likewise, cause of family related issues (no, nothing bad; its actually a good one, but still conflicts with Mini meet), I'll actually be leaving Saturday Night at 11 PM.

So yeah, I'm pretty much confirmed barring some really big catastrophe.

Title: Re: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: Xeroma on November 26, 2009, 04:12:20 AM
Specific activities... I'll be bringing my game systems along so there'll be most any fighting game people would want to play around[which really just means me/meeple/shale most likely]. Aside from that, I dunno.

As long as it is ok with the burning one, I'll be coming in on Thursday at some point.  Probably leaving around 1200 or so, once I put in a few hours at work >_>

Coming thursday evening with Shale and CT. (I'll catch a ride with him, my car is being a piece of shit again)

We'll run DL trivia friday night *whips non minmeeters, play!*. Otherwise I'm open for ideas.

And as I said, bowling should be considered as always.

Wait, OK. Are you driving through or near Richmond? I might be able to go anyways, but I think it'd work out a bit better if you could pick me up.
Title: Re: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: OblivionKnight on November 26, 2009, 08:18:05 PM
...yeah.  Apparently, fastest route takes me literally right next to Richmond.

6 hours...blah.

Pyro, can you PM the exact location of your living quarters?  I can probably pick you up, Xer...I might change when I leave, though...if I leave at 1200, I'm hitting Richmond traffic at a horrible time.  I might head out at 0900 WV time...mmm...

Ok, my current plan has me leaving at around 0900 EST on the Thursday from Morgantown and driving south to Newport News.  I'll be passing Richmond for the last bit of the trip - Xer, if you need picked up, where can I get you?  1400 should be low traffic around Richmond/95 about then...right?  Cid...I'll get back to you on stopping near you.  Might have to change that a bit ;/

Can you bring SO3 w/th vs mode too Xer? I'd like to be involved somehow and uhh .. that's about the limit of my experience as far as "fighters" go >.> Might give super a rough idea of the PCs as dueller's too.

Also cooking/fooods! What are we doing about that? I think I recall Shale mentioning something about breakfast in chat? Otherwise pizza/indian/chinese/w.e call outs for dinner? I dunno~

Eating out is the norm at minimeets. Pyro does have a decent if small kitchen for cooking at least.

Pyro has SO3.

I'll be bringing my PSP with a few games (one of which should be blatantly obvious), my DS as well (less obvious about what games though!), and probably DMC4...hey, maybe we can PROGRESSIVE PLAY THAT! (...I'm semi-serious here; it might work as a silly little activity.  After all, at the first minimeet, Shale and El-Cid spent like 2 hours doing nothing but Guilty Gear and us watching <_<)

Is there anyway to transfer data on an Xbox360 other than swapping Hard Drives?  I WOULD like to show off my SC4 customs like I did at DLC4 to some people, but dunno if that's possible without bringing my hard drive, and considering other people in my house play the 360, that would be a dick thing to do in bringing it.

Oh yeah, I should ask this:
Shale, want me to bring Chalah for the sake of French Toast again <_<?

Hotels in the immediate area (most of these should be walking distance). Savannah Suites is likely the closest and charges ~70/night. Of course I have two couches and two air mattresses along with plenty of floorspace, so whoever wants to stay in my apartment is free to.

Not much in the way of bowling alleys nearby. I would likely need to drive to Hampton if we wanted to do that? I can look into it if folks are still interested.

There are a crapload of restaraunts around here with a wide selection. Pretty good Japanese place nearby too.

If anyone has any requests or anything feel free to make them.

Ok.

It's a 6 hour 18 minute drive to Newport News.  To Richmond, 5 hours 1 minute.

I'll be leaving WV around, if things go the way I want, 0600-0700 on Thursday.  Means I'll hit Richmond around 1200, Newport News 1300, if things go right.  Does that sound reasonable?  Anyone on that route is free to come with me if they want.

Oh, damnation.  I'll just get Shale to burn it at his place.

Cid- you can always just mail it to me, not a huge deal. Edit to OK: Bring XS3.
Title: Re: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: Meeplelard on December 12, 2009, 05:30:20 PM
If I could find a way to bring my save files, I'd bring my DMC4 and SC4 stuff, so I can:

A. Show off the fun stuff of DMC4, though Shale can probably do that with his computer anyway.
B. Show off the custom characters I made that people missed who weren't at DLC4!  Yes, I'm a jerk like that <.<

I might be able to just bring the Hard Drive with me, but wouldn't be sure; I'd prefer if I DIDN'T have to do that, like if I could trnasfer data to a flash drive...

Speaking of which, I'm bringing MF6 with me, so you all have no excuse to suddenly get the damn game yourself <_< >_>

I do want to bring Godzilla Unleashed for the sake of "hey, something new!" (and unlike CVJ, this isn't the Trainwreck style uniqueness, more just something gimmicky for a temporary change of pace, if that makes sense) but again,  the whole "Start with only 3 characters" makes it a poor game.  I blame the Wii's lack of Memory Cards.

I also suggest we do NOT play XS3; only super wants that!  There's other "bad" games we can play...no, I don't intend to bring CVJ.  I might bring Dirge of Cerberus though!!! *shot*

Okay, assuming OK and Xer arrive at ~1:00-4:00 on Thursday, I can leave them here to greet anyone else who shows up while I pick up Meeple at 6:15. Post ETA's if you have them for convenience.
Title: Re: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: OblivionKnight on December 15, 2009, 11:10:18 AM
You have my ETA already, and it shouldn't change that I know of!

So, since my computer blew up, I will be bringing my work computer - it's got a lot disabled that I can't seem to fix, but it should work for most things.  Hopefully, my hard drive will be salvaged by then - I can at least provide some of the files to people.  All I need to bring is XS3?  I think I was told DDS2 was not needed?

I should also bring MvC2!!!!!!!  And some other stuff?!!!?!??!?!?!
Title: Re: Minimeet '09, eastern seaboard area.
Post by: Xeroma on December 16, 2009, 12:03:25 AM
I have MvC2 on my XBox already, but having the PS2 option around wouldn't hurt.

I'll have every FG under the sun on me most likely. We need some KoF Meeple!

Other than those, I'm trying to decide what other multiplayer stuff I can bring. SB2 Heroes for co-op beat'emup action?

Minimeet over. Meep went back Saturday night, and OK/CT/Super/Xer left just now. Major thanks to OK for dropping off Super/CT for me (another crossing of that particular body of water and I would have been a very unhappy Pyro).

Generally did a lot of stuff here. Lots of games got showed off. Included were Dead Rising, several different fighting games, Eternal Poison/ZoE2/Shinobi/Ninja Gaiden/Mana Khemia 2/Demon's Souls/SotC/Grim Grimoire/Hard Mode DMC3/Onimusha 3/Eternal Sonata's ending. Eternal Sonata's ending, it should be noted, was OK's evil brainchild. It inflicted about as much suffering as could be hoped for. Lots of other games were played including SO3 vs. mode. Dead Rising pretty much stole the show with the zombie apocalypse of chaotic doom complete with chainsaw whirlwinds.

Notable events include Pyro locking Super out on the porch as a demonstration for everyone else, Super suffering via ankle and other issues, OK being OK (to our enjoyment), and lots of unhealthy food that I will have to spend days dieting for. Also a bit of a scramble on my/Meeple's parts to find him another bus ride (to New York) after his first bus got canceled.

Generally a fun time. I guess other people can post thoughts if they care to.

Might as well mention my end of stuff:

Thursday: Wake up at 5 AM (that's 1 1/2 hour later than I usually wake up!), get to bus -> Port Authority -> Grey Hound -> 10 HOURS OF FUNNESS!!! -> Station.

The Bus was making good time, actually, until one of the young passangers (as in, like a 1 year old) split his head open due to not listening or something.  No, not as bad as it sounds; it apparently was just a minor cut that looked worse than it actually was cause of how much it bled initially, but they got an ambulance to check on the child and they verified he'll be alright, especially since the bleeding stopped pretty quickly.  This pushed us behind schedule, not only cause of the ambulance, but because at the stop the father and child were getting off at, they had to fill out an incident report, blah blah.  in the end, we got there 15 minutes late.  Not too bad considering honestly.

On the bus itself, I mostly played SFA3:Max.  I was playing World Tour mode in hopes to unlock a few PCs...
"Wait, why am I facing Guile? Isn't he unlockable?  ...I don't remember Eagle being in this game either.  Wait isn't Yun from 3rd Strike which came out AFTER this?"  By the time I saw Evil Ryu as someone I was fighting mid battle, it dawned upon me that SFA3:Max is essentially Super Street Fighter Alpha 3; I look at the back of the box, and sure enough, it says "4 new characters" and both Guile/Evil Ryu are even listed in the booklet, which I doubt they were for the PSX version.  So, uh, yeah, screw world tour mode, I'm just gonna do quick battles <_<

BEFORE the bus ride, I finished VPDS' SG on the way there!  Good thing too, cause super wanted to play it, so yeah, wrapping up loose ends!

When I got to Pyro's house, while listening to WA3 music along the way with CT and Super in the car, first thing we did was test out my 360 Mem Card...well, no, first thing I did was eat Pizza cause I was hungry, but quiet.

This is the most useless thing ever.  you have to actually save your Xbox-live data account for anything to MATTER...and you can't save that, apparently, only TRANSFER it, so it meant my sister wouldn't be able to play her save files of whatever game during the weekend and...yeah, I wasn't going to be a dick.  This meant I couldn't show off my SC4 Customs and what not, which made me a sad Meeple.  At least we did get to show off the Pandora scene in DMC4, since Xer did have his file there.  Played some SF4 and what not too.

Its also around this time that I revealed to super that I do NOT do nothing but play Dissidia, but I in fact just play 1 match a day usually just for Mognet purposes (I'll play more if I feel like it of course, but yeah.)  He also was stunned to learn that I don't play Mega Man all the damn time either <_< >_>

Lastly...Eternal Sonata's Ending.  I...I...cannot express this properly.  I'll let SUPER handle THAT.

Sleeping...well, I was ready to go at any moment, got a couch.  Xer got the other couch, CT and super got the air mattresses, OK got the closet...its best you don't ask about that last one/let OK explain his experiences with it.  I'll refrain from making obvious jokes.

Breakfast on Friday, I think I mostly ate cookies and mountain dew...yeah, not a typical breakfast.   Then we played random stuff, I think I started Dawn of Sorrow around now, which for the record, I got to 52.4% of the way into the game by the end of the Mini-meet, bus included!
Went to the mall, bought games and lunch there; I got Okami which is something I've been looking for a while, cause hey, its the same people who made God Hand and I hear good things about it and its cheap!  Xer then talked me into buying Onimusha 3 merely by explaining the plot and noting the game was $6 (that + Okami + Discount = $15 total!)  I also bought a PSP case cause my PSP is getting scratched up a bit, and I could use some protection.

We got back, we played a lot of Dead Rising...in the dark.  This game is a lot more awesome than I expected, just by watching it.  I had limited experience with the game, but uh, well, lets just say that  if there's one thing Capcom succeeds at in the writing department, its making awesome main characters, based entirely on AWESOME reasons.  In Frank West's case, just watching him pick up a mall bench within 5 minutes of gameplay and beat down a legion of zombies with it...do I have to explain why this is awesome?  And that is only the beginning of it!  Yeah, he so earned his spot in TvC, and is better than any Resident Evil Main (comparison adequate cause they're both Capcom games about Zombies.  In fairness, RE4 Leon is pretty awesome, due to the Leon Head Exploding Suplex, and one liners, but I think Frank West still has him beat.)

Played the opening of Onimusha 3...
If ES's Ending is the bad kind of fucked (again, I'll let someone else handle that), Onimusha 3 is the GOOD kind of fucked up.  So Nobunaga is the Japanese Samurai equivalent of Bison spliced with Dracula, we have some random useless dude in history whose a NINJA SAMURAI fighting this monster we're apparently never going to see again.....
Then suddenly we're in modern France, shooting zombie skeleton samurais.  Then said Ninja Samurai comes out of nowhere due to MAGIC BULLSHIT, slices the Zombies, the French Guy we met (whose name is Jean) gets teleported into the past, and sudduenly gets a LASER WHIP due to a MAGICAL GAUNTLET that spontaneously appeared on his arm.  He's also still speaking French to the Japanese Samurai he meets...
Oh, right, those Japanese guys all speak English.  Then he meets a Tengu Fairy, who suddenly not only makes Jean speak English, BUT makes him COMPLETELY AMERICAN too.  He had a genuine french accent while speaking french, you see, but when he speaks English, instead of "English but with a french accent", he becomes your typical californian action hero.

I could go on, but it was ridiculous in that laughable way that made you go "Yeah, there is no way they're taking themselves seriously in this game", much like RE4, or at least, they were only PRETENDING to take it seriously, while on the side lines, they were laughing their asses off.

I tested Okami out too, whose opening is ludicrously long though with a few neat scenes, which is sad cause I just wanted to make sure the game worked, and my mem card is filled...yeah...

Oh yeah, played Barkley throughout the day too!  Actually, I was playing Barkley WHILE watching Dead Rising!  Managed to finish Barkley.  TAKE THAT MICHAEL JORDAN.

Saturday Morning, we had French Toast, to make use fo the Challah I brought...Xer doesn't fail at this it seems nor does CT, so the lack of Shale wasn't as major as we thought.  I also learned that 2 loaves was WAAAAAAAY too much for just 7 people let alone 6.  Xer showed off God Hand, which as expected, someone wanted to borrow after watching it (This is ALWAYS the case, without fail; God Hand is just that awesome.)  Watched more Dead Rising, played some Tekken 6...
I can safely say that Tekken 6 is an improvement over Tekken 4/5; my issue with the agme, if you can call it that, is not having played Tekken in a while and too use to applying Soul Calibur fundamentals which uh, yeah, doesn't work.  Still, seems like a decent fighting game overall.
Also watched Xer and CT duke it out in SO3!!!  Xer, you are forever to be scorned for letting Roger win a fight
Oh yeah, previous day, I learned that KoF12 is pretty crappy; why WHY SNK would you alter Iori to be something he's completely not, and downgrade characters to act like old school selves instead of their more balanced, familiar modern selves?  I hate Kyo's fireball, I want those Rekkas :(
Xer didn't get the chance to show me the GOOD modern KoF, to remind me why the series didn't suck so <_<

We went to get Italian for lunch, I had Raviolis, saw a cake that was just too awesome to pass up and hey, its vacation, SPENDING MONEY TIME, so I bought it, ate it, god damn that was good.  Then I had to leave, we wanted to go to Dairy Queen but it was closed.

Get to Greyhound station, I tell Pyro to wait there just in case I have to go somewhere else...
I run to the desk to check my ticket only to see the following signs:
"All buses are cancelled for the tonight"

...I basically go "SHIT" cause I learn there won't be another bus until at least 12 PM Sunday, and uh, I want to be home for the Hannakuh Party on Sunday, which that would make it impossible.  Thankfully, one guy there told me Chinatown Bus still is active, and if I'm willing to shell out another $35, they can take me directly to New York at 12 AM...

Well, I do exactly that (oh, yeah, Pyro, thanks for that $5 cause of the stupid "cash only" and I only had $34 on me shenanigans), except its 12:30, not 12...ok, what's a half hour, right?

...apparently, bus didn't get there til 10 of 2, so uh yeah, I was bored for a while, bus station got a bit crowded, but ultimately, got on bus fine (though my mother was being paranoid about taking such a thing), I got to New York about 9 AM, subwayed across New York to Time Square, to Port Authority, get on Bus at 11 to get home...

Then I wait at bus stop for a good half hour cause my sister didn't listen to my parents and uh...lets not get into that.

All in all, I had fun <_<

Back. Massive thanks to Pyro, and massive massive thanks to OK for driving me to and from. Keep on rocking man.

Dead Rising stole the show. I don't think anyone other than OK expected it to be this awesome. Frank West is memetically badass, and I wish Shale could have seen a fellow journalist mimic Zangief's Spinning Lariat with a chainsaw attached.

Glad to see people enjoyed the opening bits of Onimusha 3, because that game gets so much more insane as it goes.

Meeple, sorry I didn't get any KoF 2k2UM matches in :< Next time, I promise. And glad to hear you enjoyed some T6.

Super, goddamn man how do you hurt yourself so much? You need to like wear bike protection gear 24/7.

CT, nice meeting you :) Hope you get a job soon, and I hope to see you again next year.

Pyro, seriously, huge thanks for the whole thing. I'll try to come out to newport news in the future to see you. And I will finish Vesperia if not tonight then in the the next two days, I swear.

OK, you're awesome. Thanks for the whole trip, and thanks for helping me get Dead Rising when I lacked the money to do so at the meet. I'll try to get some christmas cards out for folks this year and you're at the top of my list this year.

As a side note, who needs XS3 when you have Eternal Sonata? I'll let super cover that one.

Just a warning to everyone involved, Dead Rising is a fantastic party game but ends up being incredibly frustrating and honestly a little boring when you sit down and just try to play it.  It trends towards being fairly grindy, paniced and chock full of rote memorisation and the final part of the game likes to just be a complete and total bitch.  The game kind of peaks at Day 2.

It's good that all of you have now seen the horror that is Eternal Sonata's ending. I remember ripping into it pretty hard when I talked about the game, but I suppose it has to be -seen- for the full impact of how horrifying it is.

Far worse than XS3 to me.

Good to hear everyone had fun! I hope CT will make it to DLC5 too?

If what Pyro and OK says is true, the ending apparently has nothing to do with the rest of the game, gives character's traits and "development" they didn't have until the final battle (like Chopin's personality takes a total 180 right before the fight), and it doesn't make any MORE sense if you played the rest of the game.  I personally am questionable about this, since I find it hard to believe a game's ending is completely meaningless and makes 0 sense in context with the rest of the game (Say what you will about XS3, at least its ending, retarded as it was, still fits in with the rest of the game; the game just happens to be the same level of failure before that too of course!)

But then, maybe that's a ploy by them to get me to play the game the entire way through, but I'm not gonna do that (yet)...

Of course, there *IS* the whole post credit bullshit which...uhh...I really just can't see why that would be in ANY game.  Maybe it was the creators way of saying "Yeah, we were high when we made this, try not to think about it" in a creative manner <_<

That would be so if the dreamer in question wasn't declared dead half way into the ending, and somehow the game still went on...as in, the dream related stuff still managed to exist.

Trust me. The ending has jack squat to do with any of the game's "actual"  plot up to that point. It was just as "... What?" for me as it was for you. Well, there was also "FUCK YES GODLIKE CHOPIN" in there but that is an aside.

Why am I always the last person to do these recaps?

Anyway, was great.  Pyro is an excellent host.  General recap:

Drove up early Thursday morning.  Got delayed 2 hours - not on I95, as I expected, but on I270.  Still made it decently on time, which was helped by the fact that Super/Meeple were delayed.  Made it to Pyro's apartment after picking up Xer, and Pyro's place is nice - really nicely kept.  Sat around and did some general talking/playing for a bit (which is the story of most days, to be fair >_>).  Pyro went to get Super/Meeple/CT, and Xer and I played MvC2 a lot.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.  The rest of the night was eating pizza, and laughing at Eternal Sonata's ending.

MR. SNAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I slept in the closet, as Meeple note - Super snores too damn loud, and the closet muffled that nicely.  Really comfortable, too!

Rest of the time was basically playing random games, showing things off (I forgot my memory cards, sadly), etc.  Dead Rising is awesome, and hopefully more people will play it.  Not too much else was done.  Can't find my Grim Grimoire, though:

SUPER, DO YOU HAVE IT?  YOU WERE THE LAST TO TOUCH IT, AND PYRO HASN'T SEEN IT AROUND HIS HOUSE!!!!!

As Pyro says:

"Cryo: Super ruins everything (TM)"

^_^

But yeah, overall awesome, nice to see everyone again/meet CT.  Overall cool.  Except for the drive back, which took forever, due to the state not knowing how to deal with snow >_>

The joke is to easy and besides it is OK.  There is already plenty of other things to make fun of and give him a hard time over that he giggles at like a little school girl and really falls in love with them anyway.  Especially things that involves preteen girls on the Disney channel.

>.> <.< >.>

Pyro- Was surprisingly unexplosive at least in the sense that he didn't make things explode or set them on fire although he was on the receiving end of some explosions (Demon Souls) Seriously a very nice, quiet and helpful guy. Coped with the host business well I thought though I was worried about the amount of dishes that soon stacked up in his sink. Luckily he had a dishwasher. Gave me Wild Arms XF as a gift which I am very happy about, it was a very nice extra Christmas surprise =-)

Meeple- As one of the last people in the DL to meet Meeple surely I don't need to vouch for Meeple being Meeple but I guess I'm saying it anyway - Meeple is MEEPLE!!! Exactly as he is online/you'd expect him to be. Exactly. I'd been prepared for this so I wasn't too surprised but still. Seriously. Also a very nice guy, managed to catch various bits and pieces of time with him including hanging around a multi entertainment store where we ended up staring at god knows what while chatting, him helping me out with my PSP and sitting next to him Vinnie's where he quite rightly enthused about the desert he determined to order. Was sad to see him leave earlier than other folks but oh well. Gave him a hug! =-)

Xer-As one of the very first people to welcome me to the DL and the first to send me a PM I was looking forward to meeting Xer and it was really great to finally meet him in person. Spent some domesticish time with Xer helping him out with breakfast which was really neat. I thought he did a fantastic job with that whole thing and it was very tasty too (plus I now have a new recipe to practice =-)) Definitely the most hardcore gamer of the group, spending time trying out games with most everybody including me. Again I really appreciate the time he spent with me.

OK- DEAR GOD DEAR GOD THE LAUGH LAUGH WHAT IN THE BLUE FLYING HOLY KABOOMAS THE LAUGH!!! =DDDDDD

Meeple was stressed and busy the entire time at DLC4. When those conditions don't apply he really is pretty much the exact same in person.
