You all laughed at me for drafting him. HA!

I'm in of course. Approve of the third flex spot.
-
But of course.
Support the flex spot, will think a bit on the PPR. Should be okay.
-
Of course I'm in, I have to defend my title~
I'm fine with the flex spot but WRs were pretty strong last year even without the PPR. Will think on that one a bit as well.
-
I'm in, can't let Yakumo defend his title
-
I agree with Shale in the other thread though, don't do the draft until right before the season starts.
-
You don't have me down already? *cries*
-
As much as I loathe fantasy football, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I miss this for the third season in a row.
Generically don't mind either proposed rule change, though I'd have to see the existing roster setup and scoring system to have a more meaningful opinion.
-
Kilga: 1 point for every ten yards, 6 points for every TD. (For WRs/TEs).
-
I meant overall, but .5/rec isn't too bad given those.
-
It's standard Yahoo scoring otherwise.
Edit: We also need to talk Jo'ou/Snow into playing. *Nod*
-
/me buries a pitchfork into the aiel's neck.
-
FOOTBALL TIME BRAH
-
Draft date: August 1st sound okay? If we do it much later we'll run into DLC slowing things down, and Ciato will be out at sea after that for a few weeks.
-
Can't do August 1st, it's the tail end of Otakon.
EDIT: Might just be easier to list the days I can't do it.
Any time between July 28th and August 1st inclusive
August 15th
Anything else, I'll make time for, but those dates have been locked in for a long time.
-
August the second, in that case. It'll be a board draft, so it won't be super time intensive.
-
Works.
-
Remind me on FB or AIM or something. Otherwise I'm down.
-
1. Super 2. Yakko 3. Mepmep/Baconforthesoul 4. Ciato 5. Shale 6. Trips. 7. Scar. 8. Kilgamayan
Draft order. It will be reversed each round, same as before. The draft is 15 rounds, and everyone is required to draft a kicker and defense. Is there any objection to the PPR format?
-
Super just happens to get the number 1 pick eh!
-
How iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting.
-
He was number 2 last year too. I see.
-
You expect anything but evil from hatbot?
-
Draft will start monday. Oh. I'm also going to call a vote on the PPR thing. Yes or no or apathy?
-
yes
-
I vote yes, by the way.
-
apathy
-
Yes.
-
Eh, apathy.
-
Apathy.
-
apathy
-
What time?
-
Looks like we're doing .5 PPR then? Okay. Draft is tomorrow. I'll put the first pick up at midnight if I'm still awake. Related note:
The Denver Post and NFL Network are both reporting that the Broncos fear Knowshon Moreno may have torn his hamstring Sunday.
Ouch.
-
Related related note: Minutes after that happened, Corell Buckhalter injured his back. Earlier this week, the Broncos traded their third RB to the Eagles for a linebacker. An undrafted rookie is now at the top of their depth chart.
-
They counted on Buckhalter to stay healthy. If that isn't asking for it, I don't know what is. Well, drafting Brian Westbrook 1 overall. Thanks UD, you saved my season.
Going to get the draft started slightly early, since I know who I'm picking.
Chris Johnson, RB, Titans
Edit: Note to self, fail less and doublecheck drafting list.
-
Oh hey Super started early.
I'll grab Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings.
-
Ray Rice, RB, Baltimore
(If he is taken and I missed it, my backup pick is Tim Teebone.)
-
MJD
-
Steven Jackson, RB, Rams.
-
Frank Gore, RB, 49ers
-
Andre Johnson, WR, Texans
-
Kilga: You get two picks in a row, so have fun.
-
Bleh, all the good receiving backs gone already.
Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Steelers
DeAngelo Williams, RB, Panthers
-
Fuck it.
Drew Brees, QB, Saints....bitches.
-
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona
-
The pick so nice I made it twice: Randy Moss, WR, Patriots.
-
So who's drafting Farvruh now?
-
A-Rod, QB, Green Bay
-
Mep wanted me to pick for him.
Michael Turner, RB, Falcons
-
Anquan Boldin, WR, Ravens.
-
Peyton Manning, QB, Colts
EDIT: Roddy White, Falcons
-
Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys.

-
Miles Austin, WR, Cowboys
Wes Welker, WR, Patriots
-
Sleeper pick of the century!
Jamal Charles, RB, Chiefs
-
I was debating Charles myself but decided I needed two WRs instead. Oh well.
-
Dallas Clark, TE, Indianapolis
-
Super will never let me forget this, but the value is too good.
DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles.
-
Sidney Rice WR Minny
-
Damnit Shale! I thought Jackson would get to me.
Marques Colston, WR, Saints
-
Well, I was going to draft him if Shale didn't. He served me well last year!
-
Steve Smith, WR, NYG.
-
Greg Jennings, WR, Packers
Pierre Thomas, RB, Saints
-
Ronnie Brown, RB, Dolphins.
-
Solid. I was hoping Brown would fall back to me.
-
Shonn Greene, RB, Jets
-
Ryan Grant, RB, Pack

Joseph Addai, RB, Colts.
-
Cedric Benson, RB, Cincinnati
-
Matt Forte, RB, Bears

Reggie Bush, RB, Saints
-
Chad Ochocinco, WR, Cincinnati
-
Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers.
-
LeSean McCoy, RB, Eagles
-
Picking for Mep: Vernon Davis, TE, 49ers
-
Super how do you know who I want every time?!? It's uncanny.
-
Jermichael Finley, TE, Packers.
Ciato has my next pick so you don't have to wait all day for me and my silly third shift schedule again.
-
Jason Witten, TE, Cowboys
Steve Smith, WR, Panthers
-
Hines Ward, WR, Steelers (for yakko)
-
Kevin Kolb, QB, Eagles
-
Gonzo, TE, Falcons

-
David Akers, K, Philly.
-
Victor Cruz, NYG, WR
-
Louis Murphy, WR, Raiders
-
Defense/Special teams, Dallas
-
Super I guess enjoys loading me up with Raiders players
-
You wanted me to pick for you, stop bitching!
It was either that or a a flier pick. Murphy's at least the best wideout the Raiders have.
-
=) =) =) =)
Just don't draft Darren McFadden
-
Quiet before I trade Aaron Rodgers to me for your 14th round pick.
-
Die. A-Rod is the bestest.
-
Chris Cooley, TE, Washington
-
Brett
-
Taken, ho. Pick again!
-
Obviously he meant Brett Swanson.

Really? I looked up and down and didn't see him in this thread, alright...

Sean Payton, D/ST, Saints
-
Thomas Jones, RB, Chiefs....handcuff.
-
Pittsburgh Defense

Garrett Hartley, K, New Orleans

Devin Hester, WR, Bears
-
So you give the Minnesota fan a Raider and a Bear in back-to-back picks? You're a cruel man. >_>
-
She's an Adrian Peterson fangirl, not a Vikings fan.
-
Tim Tebow
-
Someone had to do it!
-
20 Rushing TDs is good!
-
Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys.
-
Ryan Longwell, K, Vikings
Bengals Defense

I'm out for a few days, so Super is authorized to pick for me. May God have mercy on us all.

Same league as before. Sent invites to everyone else.
-
Dan Carpenter, K, Dolfans!
-
Draft's over, mang.
-
Oh, then I counted wrong or something. I need a kicker so axe Burelson.
-
Ciato, Mep, Shale, and Scar are unconfirmed. *whips*
Carpenter can't screw you as badly as Fasano did last year, at least.
-
Am I the only one that thinks Fasano is going to have a MUCH improved year then the last one? >_>
-
He still isn't worth drafting in this format regardless.
-
With 8 people? No. But neither is Tim Tebow. =)
-
Rookie QBs are never worth drafting outside of dynasty leagues.
TE's a deep position this year, and Fasano may not even crack the top 16 there. I am massively unimpressed with him in FF, especially with two good running backs on the roster for red zone looks and Brandon Marshall around.
-
I'm in the leagueee~
-
Henne looks poised to target Fasano a lot this year when Marshall isn't able to free himself from the triple cover schemes teams will throw at him.
Or Davone Bess will get a lot of looks, either way I am loving Miami's O this year.
-
Rookie QBs are never worth drafting outside of dynasty leagues.
I'd say that's more a product of the systems colleges run than mere inexperience. If I'm in a 12-man league and a rookie QB that played in a pro system in college wins his team's starting job, I might take a flier on them as a backup. Matt Ryan's a decent example, and Jimmy Clausen would have been pretty tempting this year if not for Matt Moore.
Someone like Tebow, though? No. Not even if Orton wasn't in his way.
-
Matt Ryan was like the one exception to that rule. He was 15th best overall at QB in 08. Peyton Manning did well his first year fantasy wise, and otherwise it is a wasteland. Even if a rookie QB plays well like Ben did in 04, it rarely translates to being worth a damn in the FF format.
-
Timmy was a joke pick for me obviously. First couple weeks the rosters get shifted a lot and last couple picks rarely hang around. I didn't feel like doing research so I took comic relief.
As for Bradford... probably a stretch, but Kitna put up some stupid numbers in Detroit's system so we'll see what Sammy does. (Regardless, Kolb is the fucking man.)
-
Bradford's in the Rams system. I think you're thinking of Stafford, who might actually be worth something in the next couple of years. The problem with that team right now isn't him, so who knows.
-
Heads up for players to set their lineups. We have less than a week till the Saints/Vikings game.
-
Man, it's weird feeling happy that one of your players got cut in the preseason, but if Hoosh catches on in Minnesota like the rumors are saying that could be a huge upgrade for me. >_>
-
The Rams could pick him up as well. He'd see a lot of targets there.
-
No fractional points? Huh.
Something to talk about next year, I suppose.
-
Whatever people want with points is fine with me for next season.
Heads up: Make sure you have your lineups set for tomorrow!
-
I am unironically starting the Lions defense in fantasy football this week. The Eagles looked that bad in pass protection.
-
Forty four and a half fucking points in one player sitting on my bench.
-
I'm calling that karma for me benching Romo last year.
-
I'm calling that karma for me benching Romo last year.
Said the person who lost to Trips by one point. Frank Gore just slaughtered you.
-
If I hadn't picked up Brandon Jackson on the wire, I'd have won that, too. Man, fuck you, football gods.
-
Interesting. Scar's waiver claims went through after I picked up the NE D normally without having to use my own waiver claim.
I wonder if I could have stolen any of the players he was going for.
-
/me looks at the thread title.
Hey, I'll bench him for the bye week. <_<
-
Can Mep stop the sucking? Stay tuned!
That said, my office has a 55 person pool. It's just a weekly pick the winner for 5 bucks. I won week 2 for 150 bucks (entire season costs 85) and it put me in a tie for first overall... after 2 weeks! Looking good there despite my 0-4 fantasy start in 2 leagues.
-
Your brilliant play to rely on Kevin Kolb and the 49ers went hilariously wrong in both leagues?
-
My only 49er in the other league is Gore, and he tore it the fuck up last week. I actually had a good week, but the guy I played led the league in points. Shit, I'm 4th in points in that league outta 10, but this is no bueno.
Pts Against
235.40
208.60
204.80
184.80
183.60
176.60
166.00
159.60
150.80
145.60
Average score is 90.79. Average score vs me is 117.7! (Granted it's been 2 weeks.)
In this league... I just fucking suck beyond belief! Enjoy your free wins guys!
-
HIt the waiver wire and hope for the best, man. It's an eight team league, you should be able to get depth.
-
Why can't my Tight Ends ever produce!!!!
-
You played Kellen "ow my knee" Winslow against the best defense in the NFL.
Also, *shakes fist at Yakko*
-
Man, you're probably going to love watching Trips beat the shit out of me this week, Super. Boldin gets the Steeler D, Romo and Peterson are on bye, Jahvid's got turf toe and might not even go... yeah. >_>
Then again I still have Austin Collie running around against Jacksonville so it's not all bad!
-
Mep's out of town. Does anyone have an opinion if I should set his fantasy lineup for him?
-
I think it should have been done by him earlier in the week if he wanted it!
-
As Mep's opponent this week, I have no problem with his lineup being set by someone else.
-
Yeah, I am in favor of setting his lineup. It's just a for fun league.
Edit: Yakko said it was fine, so going to set his lineup. *whaps Mep
-
Man, no one does any trades!
-
I am apparently psychic and managed to pick Lee Evans's on the one week this season when he's a worthwhile fantasy play.
-
If you don't want to have to make personnel moves for Mep again you might want to remind him that he doesn't have an active QB on his roster for this week and needs to set his lineup.
-
Mep/Scar/Trips: Set your lineups.
-
Thursday Night Football starts this week. If you have Ravens or Falcons on your team, set them early.
-
Also, holy shit. I was up like 75 when MNF and it was *still* close. Thank god for pass interference slowing TO down a little.
-
Trips and Mep: Set your lineups!
-
I hope I have enough of a lead!
-
I guess I picked a good week to spot Mep two goose eggs. Goddamn Brady, throwing touchdowns to the wrong TE.
-
Vick: Worth 49 points.
Vick: On Mep's bench.
Bad Mep, bad.
-
Yesz! Go crazy-high Eagles offense!
-
Bwahahahahaha!
-
Chicago plays Miami tomorrow night. Set rosters accordingly.
-
DeAngelo Williams out for the year awww yeah.
-
At least my awful Panthers picks were lower in the draft. *Boots Moore/Clausen into the sun*
-
Man, what a terrible week. I knew I had some bad matchups going on but I didn't think it would be that bad. Can't even blame injured players this time. <_<
-
Darn! Looks like my perfect playoff (for all my FF teams) run ends with a loss in the DL. Doh!
-
I scored 181 fucking points and it was *still* close. God damn, Ciato.
-
I am really upset right now. : ( I got +50 points on anyone else in the league! ICE CREAM POOOOPE!
-
One of the major reasons I dislike fantasy football.
Not that it's an excuse for my season. <_<
-
Whereas I merely use it as an excuse to curse Super's existence.
-
The luv doctor can fix that disorder, Ciato. :-*
-
It is not a disorder, it is a natural state of being.
-
So is being dead, but the luv doctor tries to stop that as well. Just admit it, you want to trade me Arod and smash the vile Yakko for the championship title.
-
WRONG
-
So Yahoo is total ass on mobile devices and I can't get in. Can someone remind me what RB I started that wasn't Fred Jackson or Mike Goodson, and what defenses Ciato and I started? I remember everyone else involved in our matchup.
-
Kilga: Brandon Jacobs. You also started San Diego Defense, and she started the Saints.
-
Thanks. Not that it appears it's going to matter, with Cassel doing nothing today.
-
Ciato is likely to be the highest scoring person this week, so yeaaaaaaah.
-
If Wes Welker owns lots and lots of face...
-
Top five players at each position:
QB:
1. Aaron Rodgers- Ciato
2. Philip Rivers- Shale
3. Tom Brady- Kilga
4. Mike Vick- Mep
5. Drew Brees- Scar

1. Dwayne Bowe- Super
2. Brandon Lloyd- Scar
3. Calvin Johnson- Ciato
4. Greg Jennings- Super
5. Roddy White- Super

2. Adrian Peterson- Yakko
3. Peyton Hillis- Ciato

2. Dan Carpenter- Scar
3. Matt Bryant- Yakko
4. Seabastian Janikowski- Shale
5. Josh Brown- FA
-
On the off chance I win my playoff match this week, I am so starting Tebow for the championship game.
-
Also, SIGH to the Vikings. Way to fuck me completely in fantasy and real life, assholes.
-
It's destiny that Brandon Marshall finally has a good game, in my most important week of the year!
Oh, yeah...thank you Vikes Offense!
-
Congrats to Scar for winning this season!
-
So last place means I get first pick overall next season, right? <_<;
-
You so wish. Unlike the NFL, -we- don't reward the Millen draft strategy.
-
You say that like I would be taking a WR with that pick.
-
Damn, one game short. Oh well, had a good run. Congrats, Scar.
-
Thank you thank you!
-
Who would have figured my fantasy football team with the worst record ends up winning in the end.
Well, I ended up 1 out of 5 as far as winning the entire thing. Came close, all my teams made it to the playoffs, but only...
This one was championship worthy!
Not too bad for a trophy I guess. Still need to find a J Charles picture somewhere.
-
God damn it, I will never have a fantasy team that awesome ever again. How depressing.
-
I always manage to be at home without Internet access for the playoffs. >_>
