Not to worry; we'll see how this topic goes. If we get some good discussion and patch feedback going, it might be worth spinning it into two topics so that it's easy to look through the archive of patch discussion without having to dig for the on-topic posts. For the moment, the topic is small enough that it doesn't really matter.
