Greetings, fellow kindred! It's my pleasure to welcome you all to Elysium once again. I trust you'll all be in attendance over the following nights- should you fail to present yourself, that will be taken as admission of guilt. Likewise, attending but not participating is most rude, and punishiable by Final Death. This should come as no surprise to any of you- we've already heard about what happens in domains where the silent go unpunished. Please, participate to your utmost!

I am the newly elected Prince of the City, and as such, I have the power to Kill You. I see no reason to avoid exercising this power as frequently as I am able, which would amount to once per night. By culling the weaker and less competent members of our race, we will surely purge ourselves of the Sabbat scum lurking amongst us, who are naturally of inferior stock and frequently possess less than ten fingers.

Therefore! Halfway through this night, I will declare a blood hunt on the worst amongst us! Take care not to be this person. Naturally, we will proceed with our scheduled executions closer to dawn, as has already been decided. Should there be confusion in who is to be slain, I shall default to the one who has been less talkative.

I wish you all a good evening! Please do bother to cast votes for easy record-keeping, but don't prematurely set upon tonight's accused. Allow me to give the word.

And I believe the word shall be given on... ##Vote: El Cideon. Why do I point to this kindred? It's simple, really. The 'El' indicates that he could be from Spain. And I do so *loathe* Spaniards. Were it not for their fervent grasp of the Inquisition, our kind could indeed have been spared centuries of torment.

so yeah I'm roleclaiming daykill vig in my first post, lolz, and yes, I've had this written up since I got the PM

It's arguable. Technically, I won more than all of you.

Man, I feel bad for trying to bait Shale, now. >_>

No, we're looking for a different kind of scum. But we can all agree that Tai is responsible.

I can safely say that being scum kept me awake at night way more than being town did. >_>

You can't *really* analyze win/loss records in comparision to skill until a large number of games have been played, and we just don't have the stats needed to figure this out. Also, when someone is OVERWHELMINGLY SCUM it's very hard to judge how good they are at town (and vice versa.)

I don't actually think you even need to be terribly skilled to be a decent adviser. Common sense can go a long way in a game of mafia and maybe it just takes some reminding? >_>

Wellll in that case they should *technically* be the ones with.. bad.. play? Yeah I should remember that. MY THEORY STILL STANDS.

If I'm presented with the option of someone who looks bad and someone who doesn't look as bad, I'm always going to want to go for the first one, 'bad play' or not. I don't really see what the other rational options are (except for them to, y'know, not play so bad.)

I just know that the game I excuse this is the game that guy is scum, and it's that game where I'll be mislynched for not pressuring him for playing badly on day 1. So. Yeah. DON'T PLAY BADLY.

TIPS FOR SCUM SURVIVAL

Play like town. Show prejudice against lynching scumbuddies but be subtle about it UNTIL there are no investigative roles remaining. Then, show NO prejudice. Only one scum needs to survive to win and you must think for the long-term!

TIPS FOR NEWBIE SURVIVAL

Don't OMGUS beyond day 1 and don't take it that seriously on day 1, either.

Jokevote phase sucks, get over it. There IS no smooth transition from 'jokevotes' to 'seriousland', it's a slow process that doesn't really finish until late day 2. I would never put much (any?) stock in early jokevotes as far as finding scum goes. I've voted for scum there as scum. And sometimes I vote for town! I usually just pick something random no matter what side I'm on.

Don't go after tiny things, like 'he posted a useless post!' and proceed to *not let go*. I'm looking at you, Tom. I really DID think you were scum trying to get me lynched in a clumsy way. It didn't help when you proceeded to go 'hey, look, the guy who I think is scum is voting for me! HMMMMMM' no come back nexttime with a reason kthxbye.

DO go after mistakes- logical or otherwise. Scum are more likely to make a dumb mistake than town, this is always true. DO look at the logic people present and think about what they are NOT doing if they're thinking along those lines. DO lynch people who don't *have* logic. If they have the dreaded gutclaim you are fully within your rights to put no stock whatsoever in it and demand why they DO. DO lynch people who cannot type or spell properly if there are no other suitable targets. DO not lynch cops day 1. DO consider if someone is playing very differently from how they have played in previous games. And so on.

Letting the clock run out... uh.. geez. That's kind of valid, and I kinda trust you, Shale, but the point of the matter is *anyone* makes a better target than me here, so the more chances to hit someone else, the better, and I can't deny there's an outside chance of you being scum.

I'd rather we hammered than let the clock run out if I have to be on the train, frankly, and the only way for that to really work out is if me and gate unvote now (and I don't even know if Gate is around, so.) in order to make sure tonfa has a majority on him. I can't expect Tonfa to unvote so he can himself die.

That would leave Excal and Smodge- my two biggest targets apart from Tonfa- voting for him. I think that if you were the one voting here, you'd feel the same way I do. So, basically, I'm pro-hammer unless gate can unvote and leave my two biggest suspects there. :/

Er, I meant 'fourty minutes to deadline, we are kinda awaiting your decision'. I was thinking Shale for hammer if you decided on Tonfa.

'course, that now depends on Shale!
