Mint (FE9) vs. Princess Peach Toadstool (SMRPG) - SHE CAN MAKE IT RAIN BOMBS.  How does she lose with this?

Only one I can vote on~

...seriously? I was in London this weekend. That... sucks. -.-

Also, just decided to play Pokemon again after seeing this, can't help but laugh at them actually paying attention to subtle points...
Guy who checks the happiness of your Pokemon by having them walk in front of him: "Well, Ditto doesn't leave any footprints, so it's kind of hard to tell how happy it is..."

Nicely done, K. :D That video was awesome to watch - I just can't help but wish there were Pokemon tournaments that I knew about in England! >.>

-sigh-    Thanks to money problems and third parties taking wa~ay too long to actually do anything, I'm gonna have to cancel on this now. :/  Sorry about the delay in giving a definitive answer, and hopefully I'll be there next year instead.

sorts Sweettarts by color and then eats them until all the colors have the same number of them.

Glad it's not just me~

I'm quite OCD about other things too. My room is a total mess, for example, but my bed is perfectly made each morning, and my bookshelf has all games lined up in order of console (by handheld/home console, then company, then age) in alphabetical order, followed by all manga in alphabetical order. One of my friends thought it was particularly odd that I even bothered to put .hack at the start.

Wait, no trademark attacks for Orgy members wut? That sucks. :/

FE: PoR: Playing Hard Mode for the first time ever, not using any resets at all. This is for a podcast I've started recording, so hopefully I'll get a few RAGE moments where I get RNG-screwed or lose a character I like through sheer bad luck (and then refuse to reset because those were the stips I set myself.)

Edit: Forgot to mention, Mia died on the stage she appeared. w00t. At least everyone else is still alive, but now I'm on that evil defence stage. (The one where you get Ilyana - Day Breaks or something? Ch8)

At the moment, I'm having to go mostly without food.
My dad's gone away until Sunday, and there's barely any food in the house. Which wouldn't be so bad if I got money before the Saturday after that. >_>
As it is, I'm living off half a pack of pasta and several tins of beans over the next few days.

MAIN TOURNAMENT
Nefertiti (Mana Khemia) vs. STIGMATA (Mana Khemia) - Nefertiti for champ~
The Fate ~ Cluster Amaryllis (Shadow Hearts Covenant) vs. Marionette Messiah (Super Robot Wars OGs) - Mu~ch better.
Battle with the Four Fiends (Final Fantasy IV) vs. EXEC_SPHILIA/. (Ar Tonelico 2) - Closest match here. Four Fiends is much better than I remember, whereas Sphilia is worse than I remember, so Fiends barely takes it.
Main Theme (Orchestral) (Parasite Eve) vs. Song of Mana (Legend of Mana) - Not Song of Mana.

Left~

On the topic of Degenerator, I'll point out that it isn't just typical ID. It works on enemies that are otherwise completely death-immune, so I'd be inclined to say that it works on any non-boss characters, regardless of death immunity.

Also, wondering what the method of dealing with "The End" is. I mean, if everyone allowed it instantly, Selphie would beat anything that wasn't undead, but I'm guessing people allow it in some form. Some figures on odds of spells appearing would be good~

Music Tournament / Re: Music Tournament of DOOM Vol. 2 ~Round 5~
« on: May 27, 2009, 05:25:07 PM »
Nefertiti (Mana Khemia) vs. Battle on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy V) - Nefertiti's a truly amazing song, whereas Gilgamesh suffers majorly from the retro music quality problem, as CK's said. While it's a brilliantly made piece, both of them are, and the quality of Nefertiti tips the scales in its favour.
STIGMATA (Mana Khemia) vs. Battle Hymn of the Soul/Battle for Everyone's Souls (Persona 3) - Stigmata's an odd one. I like it, and I know I've claimed it to be a potential winner before, but I'm just not seeing it today. It's good, but a little too quick to change and jumps between several styles in quick succession. Battle Hymn is... also an odd song, but it's a pretty consistently good one. Again, changes between styles pretty quickly, but it suits the mood of the song more. I'm gonna have to go with Battle Hymn, if only because it's really grown on me over the duration of this tournament, whereas Stigmata's been pretty much ignored.
The Fate ~ Cluster Amaryllis (Shadow Hearts Covenant) vs. Awe of She (Guilty Gear XX) - Odd. Fate starts out as kinda meh to me, whereas Awe kicks in from the start and strikes me as an awesome song. It then repeats what seems like about 20 seconds of music throughout the whole song, whereas Fate becomes this amazing piece that I can really imagine working in-game (despite me not having heard it in SH:C) and works out of game as well, hence winning this match. (If this were You're Not Alone instead of Awe, it'd've been better. ;o)
The Meaning of Birth (Tales of the Abyss) vs. Marionette Messiah (Super Robot Wars OGs) - Difficult. Birth didn't hold my attention for too long, but what was there was pretty damn amazing. Marionette, alternatively, was catchy, but pretty poorly done past that. Thing is, I can re-listen to Birth and realise that it is pretty damn good, and good enough to be Marionette.

Battle with the Four Fiends (Final Fantasy IV) vs. Prisoners of Fate (Chrono Cross) - Wait, why is Prisoners in the final 16? >_> Four Fiends is classic, Prisoners is meh. Easy choice~
Faith is for the Transient People (Mountain of Faith) vs. EXEC_SPHILIA/. (Ar Tonelico 2) - Faith is definitely an awesome piece. Upbeat, nice to listen to and good quality all at once. Potential finalist, maybe~? Exec's good, but definitely nowhere near good enough to beat Faith.
Main Theme (Orchestral) (Parasite Eve) vs. Into the Wilderness (Wild ARMs) - It doesn't matter which one I vote for here. My quick count has the score at 13-5, so Wilderness has probably lost. But hell, I've voted on the rest already, I'm gonna vote this one. Although neither one particularly appeals to me. Meh, PE Theme kept my interest more, I'll go with that one.
Dream of the Shore Bordering Another World (Chrono Cross) vs. Song of Mana (Legend of Mana) - Song of Mana anti-vote. Am I about the only person here who can't stand this song? >_>  Dream, on the other hand, is pretty damn awesome in its own way, although I don't see it being finals-quality.

Started the fan translation patch of Mother 3. I'm only an hour or so in (about to reach the Drago Plateau as Flint, for those who know it) but I'm already loving it. The opening sections get you attached to the characters, slowly introduced to the gameplay and are still full of action. Plus, a hilariously awesome script. I'm hoping this quality carries on throughout (but it's a shame that I know story spoilers. ;_; )

There we go, Piggy got it. ;)

1. It's a tough choice between good and evil.
 - The other point here is that all of his finishing attacks are either light or dark elemental.

3. ...And perhaps listen to some music...
 - Finishing attacks again. Rhapsody and Sforzando also come to mind...

5. ...unless I'm being defeated by my own emotions (almost literally)...
 - Optional dungeon near the end. Phantom Goldoba, IIRC.

Your shot~

Either way, much much better than the Wolverine Movie.

Most things would've been. Saw this yesterday and... ugh. It completely sidetracks from... well, pretty much anything and everything. There's no relevance to the comics, cartoons or even the other films, and the whole film was just... meh. It wasn't especially bad, but there was nothing that really kept me interested for more than a minute or two.

Went out and watched Star Trek recently.  It has a few really large plot holes, and the main premise is pretty laughable.  But, it's pretty clear that those things are there pretty much entirely so that you can get to the good stuff, and it works.  I enjoyed the movie far too much to want to pick it apart, and so long as all you want is a fun action movie starring James T Kirk, it'll get the job done.

Works pretty well for someone who's not a fan of the series too. :D  Simon Pegg as Scotty works scarily well, and I didn't even recognise Karl Urban until I saw his name in the credits. ._.

So, hotels aren't being sorted until people are confirmed to go, and I can't get a flight booked until I've got hotels sorted. Think I'm gonna have to definitely give it a miss this year then. >.> Ah, well. Maybe next year.

I'm confirmed to be driving.  Are we going to do 4 person rooms like last time?  I think that's what's been discussed.  If you want, would it be doable to book hotel rooms now so you can confirm?

Well, basically, I'm meant to be coming over for about 1-2 weeks, so I'd need everyone who's gonna be staying past the weekend to say ASAP - I know Super mentioned it, but can't remember who else said they might.
If that were all to be sorted out within the next week or so, then... should be able to go. If not, I'll at least be able to give a definite answer.

I'm wondering if I am going to meet any cool characters in DDS. Otherwise, the only entertaining person is Heat, whom I believe may one day betray us Embryon.

Whoa, hey now! Either you're missin' someone out dere, or you ain't met Cielo yet. Dere ain't nuddin' dat can beat Cielo for entertainin', ya?
