Oh, well, when you put it like that, my textbooks cost zip thanks to scholarship.

And really, if you can, start buying books on Amazon or Ebay.  It saves you assloads of money more often than not.  If your bookstore is anything like mine (fuck that place those agents of SO fans) they mark up the price 50% to make a profit and then lie to both the customers' and the student employees' faces and say it's the publisher's fault the books are so expensive.  Which makes no sense since I've bought books at less than half price from retailers off of Amazon.  New.

Fuck university bookstores.

I, on the other hand, am laying around leisurely with tons of free time that can be directed at Mafia... but Team Fortress 2 and other games distracted me and I forgot!

Now, I know that's a shitty defense but what can you do?  It's the simple truth of the matter.

Now not a whole lot has gone on, jokevote phase and then "KILL ZE LURKERZ!" phase, still no real discussion as far as I can tell.  I can also tell that Otter and I appear to be the choices for lynching, for the same reason.  Admittedly, his real reason is definitely better than mine, but I do have some sense of survival instinct.

Since it's close to hammer and I'm on the chopping block, I might as well roleclaim, eh?

I am Brave Sir Robin, master at the art of running away.  I've been able to get myself out of many horrible situations, and thus is my power.  However, we're in a confined space so that doesn't do a lick of good and I'm a vanilla townie.

Wish there was more I could say, but honestly, there isn't.  There you have it.

Great.

*Totals up the cost of his textbooks, roughly.*

Just a little over 100 dollars.  Haha, suckers.

I'm suspicious of Alex's Haiku.  Who does he think he is, a captain?

Well, I don't quite like the sound of that.  I prefer the sound of this.

Hm.  I think it might be an issue with my firewall, thinking on it.  I'll test that out when I care more.

Oh, yeah, Met, You added me but I hit the wrong button.  I was doing something else when Steam started bothering me, saying "kburnell has added you as a friend.  Accept/Cancel"  I assumed that whatever the cancel button said meant "I'll deal with that later" and not "deny," so try adding again.  I tried adding kburnell but it added a very Yumeiless Kyleburnell.  Try adding me again.

Maybe someone here can help me out.  When I try to refresh the servers to play TF2 (Which is usually because Half Life 2 crashed) no games show up on the list at all.  Anyone know what the issue might be?

Not down tonight (don't really feel like sucking so hard right now), but definitely later.  Steam ID is Makkotah.

HL2:  Got it working again, got up through Nova Prospekt, and... crash on the teleport load.  Grah.

Not much else to write on.  HL2 and the rest of the Orange box have pretty much taken up all my gaming time.  Which sucks for S5, but whatever.

So yeah, I get back home from my parents' Thursday, Friday I finish unpacking everything and now I'm settled, then it's the weekend and a holiday so I've done absolutely nothing since.  Lotta gaming, good chance to read, but man I need to go do something tomorrow.  Find a job, start exercising, call Valve Tech Support so I can play more Half Life 2, call the Reslife office to schedule an appointment about lighting a luminaria on fire, go grocery shopping... Yeaaaaaaaah...

So many games.

HL2:  Froze up after the second loading screen in Sandtraps.  Reinstalled, started over.  Same place, same error.  Going to call Tech support tomorrow if I'm not doing anything else.

S5:  Blaaah.  Back up to Lordlake visit 2.  Game is boring again.  Curse you perfectionism.  -_-

TF2:  Medic is fun, I'm getting pretty good with him.  I'm terrible with everyone else, though, since I don't play that many shooters.  Been sticking with easy characters (Medic/Heavy/Soldier/Pyro to a certain extent), though once I get better I want to try out Spy.  He seems fun.

Portal:  Okay, so Level 15 advanced map and level 18 advanced map can lick my balls.  Almost through 16, but I keep getting screwed up by the last batch of turrets.  Least portals/steps/whatever doesn't hold my interest.  Might replay for developer commentary.

So they did SH, apparently.  Marginally more interested in this game now.

I'm game now that holiday hecticness is over.

Now it's just holiday drunkenness.  I think I can handle that.

Crazy.  My roommates just started playing that game.

HL2 - A good deal of the way through Highway 17.  Loving this game more and more.  Gravity gun is awesome.

Portal:  I suck at the advanced maps.  ;_;  Wish there was more GLaDOS commentary, but hey.  I'll settle for excellent puzzle gameplay.
