AFI has definitely done a more extensive list for comedies (100 years 100 laughs, I believe) and I think they had one that was 100 years 100 thrills that would cover horror.

Lunar 2 - I'm not very far in.  Lucia just left the part and the Ronfar decided that we need to go after her.  But so far the whole game is kind of disappointing.  It seems to do wrong all the little things that Lunar 1 did well.  It's slow, the run button is weird and spotty, the enemies are a little bit more annoying than they ought to be, even the fact that healing spells don't automatically focus on the character with the lowest %hp.  On the other hand, the story seems to be a little more interesting, and the cutscenes are everything that Lunar's weren't.  You'd think there'd be some kind of consistency in quality between the two games...  Then again, there's plenty of time for everything to improve.

Added Lunar: SSSC at 7/10.

Pretty enjoyable and completely unoffensive, but never takes it to the next level.  Battle system, characters, and story and all good but not great.  Only thing I'd place as any more than slightly above average is the music, which I rather liked.

I case anyone was worried (yeah right), I'm still alive.

After reading Ringworld (which sucked), I thought of you all and read all four released books from A Song of Ice and Fire (which didn't suck).

A SPOILER or two!

Book one and two were pure awesome in their ability to pump out exciting plot developments and keep me turning pages.  I've mostly read more cliche fantasy fare, and I kept waiting for the "right thing" to happen, but was pleasantly surprised when it continued to not happen, although he ought to deliver occasionally.  Cliche it might have been, but Sandor and Gregor Clegane fighting to the death would have been pretty much awesome.

Anyway, things started slowing down in book three, to the point where I was looking forward to some characters and wanted others to get their chapter's over with.  Also it was like 30% Tyrion, which is fine because he's a great character, but it got old, really.  There were some awesome exceptions to the lower quality of this one, though (Red Wedding caught me COMPLETELY by surprise, and then I laughed at myself because Martin dropped about a zillion hints.)

And things REALLY got slow in Feast for Crows.  Jaime was the only character I really liked that got a whole lot of face time.  A few other interesting people made appearances not often enough and every once in a while something cool happened.  But Cersei was more or less insufferable.  Gah, I wish it hadn't been prophesied that she'd outlive her kids THEN die, because both of her living offspring are way cooler than her.

Anyway, looking at other people's comments, no way in hell do I think Jaime goes back for Cersei.  He rightly hates her crazy annoying personage at this point.  And the next book will probably be better just because it will star Jon and Bran and Dany and Tyrion and those characters are usually a good time.

That has to be the one line (that's good/different enough for something like this) from the entirety of Ocean's Eleven that I wouldn't get immediately.

Don't listen to them.  PS4 is extremely dated.  Cumbersome menus, horrible item management, randomness in battles, and the type of story you can expect from that era (re: not much substance).  Play a Grandia.

As for myself, I just started Lunar 1.  Good stuff.

Copy and Paste of old list with one addition:

Added Tales of Eternia at 6 out of 10.  Didn't annoy me very often (impressive for any RPG, even some of my favorites), didn't impress me.... ever.  Mediocrity at it's finest.  Slightly above average score due to lack of annoyances.

10/10 (Awesome.)
Final Fantasy 10
Grandia
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Skies of Arcadia: Legends

9/10 (Not quite as awesome.)
Chrono Trigger (Chronicles)
Suikoden
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Tales of Symphonia
Growlanser 2

8/10 (Slightly less awesome.)
Wild Arms 3*
Final Fantasy Tactics
Growlanser 3
Star Ocean 2
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Brigandine

7/10 (Almost Awesome.)
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy 1 (DoS)
Final Fantasy 7 (PC)
Final Fantasy V (Anthology)
Final Fantasy VI (Anthology)
Fire Emblem 7
Earthbound
Wild Arms 2
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete

6/10 (Hints at awesome.)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Final Fantasy IX
Tales of Eternia (ToDII)
Threads of Fate
Arc the Lad
Pokemon Red/Blue
Dark Cloud 2*

5/10 (Definitively average.)
Wild ARMs
Xenogears

ToE - Finished.  Final Boss was a pansy.  Pretty much just spammed Demon Twist (on the last 10 bosses or so, really), used Keele for items, let Farah do whatever the hell she wanted, and let Meredy cast Nurse a lot.  I only had to use a couple of life bottles on the final, despite the fact that the battle took probably 10 minutes due to sheer hit points.

Anyhow, turned out to be a pretty decent game all around.  Worst voice acting I've ever heard, pretty lame story, but somehow short enough and entertaining enough to not suck entirely.  I need to play more of the recent Tales games.

I knew something was missing.  Winter break reading:

Shadow of the Hegemon - I read (or attempted) the original Ender saga when I was in like sixth grade.  Probably a bad idea.  Ender's Game I found (and still find) awesome, but the others were over my head, I think.  I should probably reread them.  That said, the Bean saga, two books in, is more fun.  More political intrigue, more action, less aliens.

Rendezvous with Rama - Awesome.  2001 was my first exposure to Clarke, and it was awesome, but I like this a lot more.  The eeriness of the whole thing and the vivid pictures it allows the imagination to form are just awesome.  I've only read two of his books now, but Clarke is damn good at suspense, it seems.  I need to read more of his stuff.

The Left Hand of Darkness - Pretty strange novel, but good job by Leguin characterizing such a completely different world and its response to the arrival of a human "envoy".  Got a little boring during the trek across the ice, but that's far enough into the novel that you're already hooked.  Great writing, but not as much fun as the other things I've read recently.

Watchmen - I don't usually read graphic novels, mostly because I'm too impatient to pay much attention to the pictures, so I kind of have to force myself.  But I heard this was pretty much the best so I picked it up.  Good decision on my part.  The story is awesome and the characters are even more awesome.  Rorschach is pretty much the most badass person ever.  I'm not a huge fan of comic book artwork from an aesthetic perspective, but the way Moore and Gibbons integrate the art with the text, especially with regards to the "comic book within a comic book", is phenomenal

Tales of Destiny II - I'm at the Ruins of Volt.  The game is getting kind of tedious, as all Tales games do during the stupid "find every summon imaginable to help your cause" segment of the game.  I think I only have a couple more but I can hardly bring myself to play more than 20-30 minutes at a time.  Keele is annoying, but Max is MORE annoying and far more worthless in battle, which figures.  I think I must be underleveled (or maybe just out of practice) because the battles seem harder than they ought to.  I was hoping I was more than halfway through the game, but a quick look at a walkthrough seemed to indicate I'm just a bit less than halfway.  If the tedium keeps up I'll probably just quit and play something better.

Riviera - Picked this up for myself due to recent cartrip.  I just finished Chapter 3.  It's pretty fun so far.  Nothing spectacular but nothing annoying either.  Perfect for a portable, really.

I Am Legend.  Decent, but too short.  The plot is pretty awesome but I don't feel that it's fully explored.  It seemed like we were rushing through plot at points.  I like Will Smith but I don't understand the acclaim for this performance.  He was alright, but not earth shattering.  I always thought his interactions with the other characters in his movies was his strength, and he doesn't have that here.

Golden Compass - I think we missed the first 15 minutes, and maybe that mattered a bit, but the movie was pretty terrible.  The script I think borrowed too literally from the book, because it just didn't work on screen at some points.  And the pacing was more or less terrible.  This made for an experience more amusing than anything else, but disappointing, on the whole.

It took a move to a new forum to get rid of Chongara, but Robo is cooler anyway.
