Baten Kaitos - The True Mirror v Persona 3 - Battle for Everyone's Souls: Much more impressive than a fairly generic Sakuraba piece.
Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood: Leaves more of an impression.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind: Doesn't have nasty Axel connections.
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord: Ouch.

Atelier Iris 2 - Red Lucifer Rising v Digital Devil Saga- Showdown: DDS style > Gust style.
Chrono Cross - Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ v Wild ARMs 4: Into the Wilderness (Detonator Version): Some of Mitsuda's best versus some WA4 song I just don't give a damn about.
Tales of Legendia – “Hotarubi” v Final Fantasy VII: Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII Hotarubi is one of the worst songs in the contest and shouldn't have made it past round one.
Super Robot Wars - Marionette Messiah v Wild Arms 3: Losing the Inescapable Nightmare, an Unending Reality: Tough draw for something I'm really starting to like, but Bea's damned hard to beat.

Baten Kaitos - The True Mirror v Persona 3 - Battle for Everyone's Souls - Redefines "Not.  Close."  BfES exists to counterbalance Burning Bread.
Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood - Not sure how I feel on Black/Red but sparking thought is enough to beat its opponent.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind - Kay.  Neither leaves a big impression on me, White Tiger has okay vocals.
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord - A match where I have both the songs on my computer already?  World's ending!  This is really close, too.  Coinflip in fact.  Gonna give it to Neclord solely because Influence has three votes already.  Man, I like this pool.

Atelier Iris 2 - Red Lucifer Rising v Digital Devil Saga- Showdown - Strange similar vibes from these two.  Lucifer goes from eh to good, Showdown goes from good to better to even better.
Chrono Cross - Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ v Wild ARMs 4: Into the Wilderness (Detonator Version) - What Cid said but with a little less harshness towards Wilderness. 
Tales of Legendia – “Hotarubi” v Final Fantasy VII: Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII - Ah... yup.
Super Robot Wars - Marionette Messiah v Wild Arms 3: Losing the Inescapable Nightmare, an Unending Reality - Messiah's got this groove that strongly reminds me of the good NES Megaman stuff.  WA... is just another track trying a bit too hard to sound epic with bad instruments.

This was a really fun batch to go through, though.  Lots of things I left on, almost nothing to actively dislike.

Baten Kaitos - The True Mirror v Persona 3 - Battle for Everyone's Souls: Yeah, even decent Sakuraba has NOTHING on this.
Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood: Psyyy. I am not a fan of Black as Sin, but I don't hate it like I did in round one, and Main Theme just barely exists.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind: Oof. While I love me some Dark Hero cheese, Strange Wind is just magnificent.
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord: I already voted the other way, but relistened and flipped them. I guess Neclord is an on and off track for me.

Atelier Iris 2 - Red Lucifer Rising v Digital Devil Saga- Showdown: Good match, but Gust's best takes this without much thought.
Chrono Cross - Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ v Wild ARMs 4: Into the Wilderness (Detonator Version): Excellent vs Yet Another WA Battle Theme.
Tales of Legendia – “Hotarubi” v Final Fantasy VII: Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII: Easy enough.
Super Robot Wars - Marionette Messiah v Wild Arms 3: Losing the Inescapable Nightmare, an Unending Reality: Mm, sure, good enough for now.

Baten Kaitos - The True Mirror v Persona 3 - Battle for Everyone's Souls: BfES may be growing on me some, but... yeah, I dunno. It still has plenty of weak patches, and the hype is a touch baffling.
Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood: Well, if SoA wins this round, then at least I'll be able to vote for BfES next! But yeah, creativity and creepiness of Black as Sin trumps this generic treacle.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind: Strange Wind is nice. White Tiger still owns WA4 vocals, but that's not good enough here!
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord: Very nice vs. personal favourite. Oh well.

Baten Kaitos - The True Mirror v Persona 3 - Battle for Everyone's Souls - It does have its ups and downs, but on the whole I think it averages out a bit higher than Mirror. Both nice anyway.
Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood - Both lame. Sin at least is somewhat tuneful.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind - Isn't woefully vocalised.
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord - Pretty simple.

Atelier Iris 2 - Red Lucifer Rising v Digital Devil Saga- Showdown - Got nothing to say here.
Chrono Cross - Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ v Wild ARMs 4: Into the Wilderness (Detonator Version) - Both of these I can't really get any sort of grip on because I keep tuning out while I'm listening to them. Bah.

Skies of Arcadia- Main Theme v Wild ARMs 3 - Black as Sin, Red as Blood - Is actually better.
Disgaea 2 - White Tiger v Phantom Brave - Strange Wind - Good match.  PB wins again~
Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord - Not a big Influence of Truth's Appearance fan, though it's alright.  Like Gothic Neclord though.

Atelier Iris 2 - Red Lucifer Rising v Digital Devil Saga- Showdown - Awesome match!  Not really fair though.
Chrono Cross - Chrono Cross ~Time's Scar~ v Wild ARMs 4: Into the Wilderness (Detonator Version) - Could go either way on this one.

It's odd, but those vocals just work so well.

Star Ocean 3 - Influence of Truth's Appearance v Suikoden II - Gothic Neclord
IoTA is good, but I can't seem to remember it while I'm listening, or even keep it in mind while it's playing.  Gothic Neclord does both with ease.
