Asellus (SaGa) vs Edge Eblan (FF4): Damned Cat Claws.
Maya Schroedinger (WA3) vs. Saki Inugami (SH2): Think Maya's outclassed here.
Ultros (FF6) vs. 2-Feena (G1): Kneejerk says Lete River form lives just long enough.

Middle:

1-Meru (LoD) vs Tear Grants (TotA): Kneejerk!
Tengaar (Suikos) vs Alice Elliot (SH1): unsure, don't care.
4-Nikea (S5) vs. Hahn Mahlay (PS4): Yeah, survives, Vols.
Fu So Ya (FF4) vs. 2-Brad Evans (WA2): Need to see Brad's turn 1 damage with Lock On Mini Scud or whatever his best damage was.  I wanna say that's around 4500, which should be enough to OHKO Fu...assuming he goes...but Fu had SubTellah speed, so I'm assuming the answer is yes.

Light:

1-Viktor (Suikos) Vs Freed Yamamoto (S2): I think? This fight is a battle of two suikoscrubs, etc.
Jewel (S4) vs 4-Estella (S3): Not seeing Estella Heal locking all that well.
3-Balbaroy (SF1) vs. Stallion (Suikos): Balbaroy is clearly a Bird Tribe Laguz from FEs, Stallion uses a Bow, therefore hits weakness and wins! MY LOGIC IS FLAWLESS
Raja (PS4) vs. 2-Erk (FE7): Raja can try for Seals...except Erk doubles him, hits a weakness with Elfire, and probably OHKOs as a result.

Assuming you throw out the L4s (Which...well, the whole thing about having one giant shot of damage is that you can continually use it to heal lock), Meru does about 91.8% damage with Dragon+Freezing Ring after the 5% Ice Resist is thrown in. Tear has 91.4% average HP, but then throw in the above average MDef (Not grealy above, much likely enough to this case). Use L4s at all, and Meru gets severly hampstrung as she's definetely not 2HKOing Tear with anything (Especially going for the 400 SP setup, which reams her physical damage).

Also if Tear is to be allowed elemental resist equipment then I'm going to have to allow Meru to equip Red Eye Stone too (Firebird wasn't optional ... I think) ;p

In which case, Tear's chances of winning go from "equal" to "near-guaranteed".
There's a BIG difference in resisting your only weakness and resisting your opponent's only damaging element.
Tear, at least, can stall long enough to get a MA if that's the situation, even if you don't respect her durability.

Also, do note that the stat topic DOES NOT include Tear's pendant, which boosts her Matk AND Mdef to gamebest among PCs.

Ultros (FF6) vs. Feena (G1) - Since when is Ultros some sort of durability god?

Ultros 1 has 3000 HP when your best damage is Sabin's 350~ with Aura Bolt, and in a team with Banon.  That's reasonably durable.  Granted, Form 2 has 2550 HP and is fought much after and...yeah <_<;

Anyways, I was wondering: does anyone have any relevant stats for XS1 Virgil? They don't seem to be in the... uh... stat topic. At all. It doesn't matter much now, since I already know he's beating Terra, and KOS-MOS won't make it to the finals no matter what, but if anyone's got a save file before him it would be nice. Otherwise, someone's gonna have to play XS1 all the way through. I might do it someday if no one else does, but I have to finish Shadow Hearts, and I've got Phantom Brave, Persona 3, and Odin Sphere all waiting to be played.

Sadly, we have no Virgil stats, and no one ever seems to care enough to get them. If my Xenosaga copy hadn't disappeared, I might be tempted to.
