For what it's worth, here's my PM.  It is short and boring, full of blandness, and much like me and my role in that game, not really worth noting except where stuff is blatantly pulled out of the ass.

You are Disco Marth, Vanilla Townie!

You have no powers besides the funk.

You win with the town when all threats to the town have been KO'd.

Please respond to this via PM or IRC or some other method confirming your role and submitting your night 0 action.  You don't get night actions.  Isn't it sad, Marth-chan?

Captain K.

Now, All I have to say is: pi-CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU*sizzlescorch* to Captain K for taking me out in day 1.  *grin*  Evil.  I was enjoying the madness for a change. hehe.  Good game town!  Happy for winning, even if I didn't make it to the end.

You can thank Andrew for that.  He was scared to death of a town dayvig.  I was planning on killing Yakumo, but he took care of himself for me.

Oh, and Shale needs to post his role PM. <_<

I basically did, but sure.

You are Mario, Bulletproof Squeaky-clean Townie!

As the main hero of the series, you've got it good.  Everyone knows you're a good guy, it's just so obvious!  All successful cop investigations on you, regardless of the cop's sanity, framing, etc will always return "Town" as their result.

Furthermore, nobody would dare to KO you at night.  Not after what you've done to Bowser, and all those other villains.  You are bulletproof and cannot be KO'd at night.

You win with the town, when all threats to the town are KO'd.

At least, that's what you want them to believe.

All this time, nobody questioned.  Nobody looked closely enough.  Nobody ever noticed that Mario is never seen without wearing a certain pair of white gloves...

You are actually Master Hand, Poisoning Serial Killer!

Freed of Tabuu's clutches, you have returned to your usual task of merrily KOing all those silly Nintendo characters.  You have disguised yourself as Mario in order to expedite this task, and the abilities listed in your fakeclaim above are true... to a point.

You do return "Town" to all cop investigations, no matter what.  You are also kinda sorta bulletproof.  As in the games, Master Hand works on an HP counter, and cannot be normally KO'd.  You have 300% HP, for the entire game.  Any vote ever cast against you immediately deals damage to your HP, in whatever amount a vote at that time does.  Damage to you is permanent and cannot be removed by any method, including players unvoting you, however any given player can only damage you with their vote once per day.  Smashvotes on you are the same as regular votes.  Nightkill attempts upon you do not automatically KO you, but they do deal 50% damage and will KO you if this depletes your HP.  Whenever your HP runs out, you are immediately KO'd.  If this occurs in the day, the current day does not end.

You should therefore seek to minimize the votes cast against you throughout the entire game!

Your preferred method of killing is the tried and true delayed charge from offscreen.  Every night past night 0, you choose a player.  That player is "poisoned," in Mafia terms.  Nothing happens to them that night, but the NEXT night, they will die.  If your initial poisoning is successful, your target will die, absolutely guaranteed, no matter what happens to you the following night.  If you are roleblocked, or a doctor protects the player you target on the night you initially target them, that WILL stop your kill.  Doc protection on the night of your victim's death will be useless and probably result in a very confused and frustrated doctor.

You also know that various players have minor powers related to their character identities.  It may be a good idea to make one up and claim it, in case you are observed targeting players at night.

You win when everyone else has been KO'd.  Figuring out how to accomplish this with a delayed kill and your HP meter may be tricky, but it is quite possible; ask the mod if you have questions, as this is a complex role.

Please respond to this via PM, IRC, or other such medium, confirming receipt of your role.  You may not poison anyone night 0, so you have nothing to do there.

Interesting thing, Shale: when I investigated you night zero, the message I got was "Squeaky-Clean Bulletproof Townie." None of my other investigations said anything about the player's alignment. So when you got modkilled and flipped as ITP, I started to wonder if someone else out there would give a similar result.

Especially when Strago claimed Miller. I had a fake Miller message inserted in my role PM and decided that Alex may have intended me to claim as such (which I did, with shockingly little bad karma on my part), so I considered it possible that Strago may have been working from the same angle. In conjunction with the general trend towards duped roles, this led me to genuinely believe that Strago was another serial killer once he came out with the vig claim. I tried to investigate him night four, but I got Bard's result instead (I figured this out pretty much instantly--damn you, Carthrat!) Hence why I tried to kill Tai on night five--I knew I was about to die and wanted Strago to win instead of town. With Rat, Strago, and Bard left on a hypothetical day six...well, it was possible that this could've happened. Alas, Strago was actually town himself, and the game ended there. Not like there was anything else I could've done, though.

The symmetry between Falco and Wolf throughout was intensely amusing. From their joke banter right at the start to the dual miller claim to they final showdown to how well both of them played in general. (El Cid is scary at this scum thing, and Strago needs to play more.)

The game was a lot of fun to watch. Even more fun once I learned the details of the setup around day 4-5 or so.

Doc and cop sanities are - to me, at least, and especially in large games - assumed to be inherently untrustworthy.  I guess that's just differing views/experiences/whatnot.

LIES I TOLD TOWN:
2 cops, both insane
1 of the doctors was naive
Minor abilities were all over the place.  Most did nothing.  A couple of them were, as Bard pointed out during the game, rather notable powers that were originally part of their assigned roles, like a oneshot roleblock.  I listed these as minor powers in a couple of cases if they fit the character rolled, to intentionally obfuscate the definition of what was and was not a minor power so that people couldn't speculate on this, which I considered a requirement to have minor powers in the game at all.
And... that's really it.

If you look at some of the roles, you can see clear traces of ones I made to fit certain characters, before it was decided that characters would be selectable and open.  Ciato/Dedede for example was going to be Peach.

Pichu was Pichu, it was entirely coincidence that QR picked Pikachu and got it.
Likewise Tai picked Kirby and got... Kirby.

I get what you're saying here, Alex, but I don't think you quite understand where I'm coming from.  Or maybe I'm just overreacting.  Either way, this is the last I'm going to say on the subject.

I had two roles, doc and mason.  Both of these roles is inherently unsafe: unless specifically told, I don't know my mason partner is on my side, and the doc could be naive/quack/paranoid/whatever.  Neither role can be trusted if they're just put out there.

You specifically went out of your way to warn me about the fact that the mason role, which as I said is inherently unsafe, wasn't trustworthy.  You did not do the same thing with the doc role.  When both start equally risky, and one has it pointed out when the other does not, the way I read that is that the one that it is not pointed out on has no chance to fail.  Obviously that's not what you meant, but that's how I read it.

I'm sure I won't be playing Mafia anymore, at least when real life shit like 8 days straight: 9 hour shifts and serious issues like my house smelling like a swamp increasing my stress levels and people like EvilTom acting like an asshole because he's offended that "I don't know him so I vote for him" sort of thing.(seriously, what else do I have to go on early in the game? And he was scum on the top of it. *headdesk*)

El Cid and Strago sure threw me off because I was pretty confident where everyone else lies.  I made a prediction of EvilTom/Andrew/madforder/Excal or Rat as the scumteam.  Never really thought much of El Cid the entire game, he's certainly the most mind-boggling Mafia player ever.

I knew Alex had some evil Pichu scheme with QR, along with FE characters being totally useless because "FE always fails</Alex>".  Nice that Alex managed to create roles that did fit the Brawl theme, but at the same time not be completely predictable.
