But perhaps people merely underestimate the value of cunning in warfare. The Varuni scientist Elvis is a straightforward fighter, relying on his raw strength to win battles. While Naesala's battle strategy is simplicity itself, it matches well against Elvis, allowing the king of Kilvas to outstrip his foe's damage with Vortex while nimbly evading his pugilistic blows, if not striking beforehand with Vantage to seal the scientist's fate. A pity more of a show couldn't be put on, perhaps, but so it goes; his innate talent will bring victory for the Raven King in the arena's championship match, in a more fitting end than any elegant finale could have provided!
