Proving Grounds: Godlike Prelims 1

And it's back! Proving Grounds tests currently ranked and potential future ranks that might be considered borderline against people in both divisions that they may straddle in order to figure out which divisions might be more appropriate. This version includes some not ranked bait that is very far from being ranked, assuming they ever would be.

Our First Contestants
Lady Harken- Her WA:ACF gives her an anti-physical game, and a killer limit with solid HP. However, the deadweight other form and an Ice weakness could be prove her downfall.
Deamoned- Godlike downgrader, his  slow speed is hopefully balanced out by his solid damage, HP to 1, and Absolute defense.
Levin- A new face in the arena, Levin's 150% speed, above average accuracy and ability to cancel even bosses turns makes him a  force to be  reckoned with...as long as his MP holds out.
Lloyd- Another Godlike downgrader, Lloyd's damage may be lacking, but he hopes that speed and the ability to hit both defenses make up for that.
Hugo- Versatility! For a Suikoden character anyways. Healing, Evasion, Physical and Magical Damage and some damage hopefully give Hugo the tools he needs to compete.
Solofia- And yet another downgrader! In fact, this one downgraded twice. Defensively and offensively Solofia has many tools with Fendspell, good defense, status blocking, and healing...if only he/she can get a turn.
Billy- A downgrade heavy pool! Billy may be a tad frail, but with lots of MP, cheap healing, and haste, he can deal with the best Heavies. But will it be enough?

Harken   vs   KOS-MOS: Seems familiar? Busts past limits though.

Harken   vs   Eirika: Um... hmm. Both block about half of each other's attacks. Feels like Harken will get a bunch more of them. Although Sieglinde vs. demon arguments... hmm. Will think on this.
Harken   vs   Gau: Charm + strong against physicals.
Harken   vs   Groudon: Bulk Up, smash with Earthquake.
Harken   vs   Culgan (S2): Yep.
Harken   vs   Arngrim: Parrying messes up Arngrim's day.

Deamoned   vs   Jenna: Bhairava and lacking speed!
Deamoned   vs   Xorn: Has some trouble with Absolute Defence at full HP... but not after. And the speed difference. Ew.
Deamoned   vs   Luca: Absolute Defence vs. S2 boss.
Deamoned   vs   OddEye: Just manages, I think. Kills in... five hits after AD factored in, should get #5 before Deamoned gets his second turn.
Deamoned   vs   KOS-MOS: Gut says S-Chain -> Ether Limit -> F-Scythe nets her the win. Slowed, blinded Ned just has sooo many issues.
Deamoned   vs   Johnny (SH 3): Seeding Ned as barely surviving an Ether Purge today. Not seeing Johnny survive a Deamoned turn.
Deamoned   vs   Eirika: He has too much trouble hitting, and triggers counters IIRC? Might have had some ranged trick... but the only one I recall is Bind, IIRC he was pure melee otherwise.
Deamoned   vs   Gau: Generally see Charm as turn 3. Not good enough when there's a 2HKO happening here.
Deamoned   vs   Groudon: Don't think he 2HKOs, and HP-1 gets through his defences even if he goes for Bulk Up.
Deamoned  vs   Culgan (S2): Haha.
Deamoned   vs   Arngrim: ... y'know, Arngrim's pretty close to winning those. Tough enough to not be OHKOed, Final Blast is awesome and punches through AD... but I don't think he ultimately does quite enough damage.

Didn't something like this come up for Gau v Albert Simon, NEB? And you hyped his Mblock (by any method) giving him a 67%+ win against the HP-1 -> Tap method? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, by all means.

Deamoned has this thing where he has solidly OHKOing damage, so he doesn't have to rely on his HP-1 (which sucks). He probably needs five of his six hits to win, granted, but yeah, think he manages.

Speaking of which, if you don't see Johnny OHKOing (no Ether Purge?) then he's getting owned pretty badly.
