I would say that, in this instance, since it removes status, when cast it would apply the status but not the other hex effects, since stat buff/debuffs are not stated to be added by dispels and removed by the spells themselves, but rather reversed.

So dispel's other effects don't land, but the status (And thus Misery) do.

This being said, I'd also allow them to move out... except doesn't Dispel remove Shut Down? In which case that lands as well (Don't Move status, pretty much) and ends it. (Having to move is lockdown enough for most the floor.)

In other words, I'd see WA4 Dispel as a limited Esuna (other games do have this sort of spell) + Dispel of normal games, and thus let the Esuna part work as advertised. Your mileage may vary.

Every enemy-only move in FF5, specials aside (which are clearly physical, and of which...Gilgy has CRITICAL, which does nothing) is classified as "Enemy Magic". Make of this what you will.

<Gourry> And playable, at that?

Does FFX-2 only classify magic as say the typical spells, or does it go beyond that?
...into the nightfall.

There's too many people from Tonfa's matches that I don't know/am not certain of to really see an outcome.

However, Team Tranquil and Team Tide pass.

Team Tonfa | Cloud, Chemist, Aika, FFX-2 Songstress
[Floor 6a]
No vote.  I'm not comfortable with my limited knowledge of a few of these.

Team Tide | Sasarai (TER), Arnaud, Ephraim, Garnet, Duran(Light)
[Floor 4a]
*For this floor, all damage and healing is reversed. All status healing spells inflict that status at 100% (Including Life -> ID), all status-inflicting spells remove that status (ID -> Life) and all Buffs or debuffs do the opposite (Saner would reduce speed and evasion) These spells can be targetted at enemies or allies.
*All resources normally used for Healing are infinite, as well.
Team Tide vs. Fei and Bart - Yeah, I'm buying Dispel hype as of now.  It technically does act as limited HEX status healing in-game, so I don't see a reason to not allow it here.  As such, Fei gets Miseried, the two bite it.
Team Tide vs. Rosa and Cecil - This...is trickier.  IIRC, Cecil has Esuna.  Rosa has...ouch.  Arnaud gets status-hell.  And I'm pretty sure that nobody has something to inflict Stone at this point.  Though I could see Arnaud using Slow Down to boost Sas' speed so he could get a  Kindness Rain off.
Team Tide vs. Ziggy, Shion and KOS-MOS - Comparably EASY.  Shion gets statused, everyone else dies.
Team Tide vs. Robo and Frog - All Robo's got is Heal Beam or whatever.  Status Frog, kill both.
Team Tide vs. Rune and Chaz - Status the faster one.  There's enough healing here that it shouldn't be that hard.

Team Tranquil | Yuri2, Eiko, Songstress, Lucia, Nei

--Will think on this later.
<+Nama-EmblemOfFire> ...Have the GhebFE guy and the ostian princess guy collaborate.
 <@Elecman> Seems reasonable.
