It's never in good form to hit a lady. Beowulf is a well respected and polished gentleman of the church, so this will complicate his task this week against Jeane. While he shouldn't hurt a fine lady such as her, Jeane will have no problems raining lightning typed death down on the Temple Knight. So in light of that, it's time to use a more subtle approach. Hitting Jeane may not be kosher, but what about putting her to sleep, turning her to stone or making her into a cute girl chicken? All of these are viable tactics to end the fight then and now in Beowulf's favor. He doesn't have to worry about hurting Jeane's delicate form, for his powerful magic will do it for him. After all, it's only civilized to turn a woman into a statue instead of stabbing her.
