This mild-mannered hero isn’t your run of the mill main character (ignoring of course his age, weapon of choice, and good looks). As a mystic, he has the power to summon a fiery god into the playing field to smite his enemy. Mia may be a skilled swordmistress, but it’s hard for a sword to stand up against destructive and very powerful wide-ranging magic. While Lang may not have the speed to avoid a double and may not be able to manipulate the match enough to ensure that he gets off a Mystic Arte, the sheer might of Galea and Blazing Smash should prove too much for Mia’s sword.
