Its not uncommon to see FIre Emblem characters go against each other in the DL at this day and age. Sure, Eliwood's not in the same game as his opponent, but it doesn't change the fact that they run off the same mechanics. Which means Eliwood's trusted lance will be his weapon of option here over his usual Swordplay, for the sake of weapon triangle advantage. With that little boon, Eliwood can gain the upperhand in this fight, especially with the option of Javelins which can be used to attack from a distance and avoid the crucial reprisal, something his opponent cannot work around.
