Team Piggyman | Orlandu, FF5 Chemist, Cray (Speed?), Garnet, Adray
[Floor 3b]
*All ST is MT
Team Piggyman vs. FF1 White Wizard, Knight, Ninja and Red Wizard - Orlandu.
Team Piggyman vs. Yosuke and Tengaar - Orlandu.
Team Piggyman vs. Dhoulmagus2 and Bowser - Blitz out Bowser so he never gets a turn, Garnet heals Dhoully's damage if he tries that.  Dhoully goes for Turn Skip hax but has to get psychotically lucky.
*Full Heal
Team Piggyman vs. Nina4, Jessica Philomele, Yulie and Porom - Kneejerking they can smash through?  Porom needs to never get a turn, but that's doable.  Orlandu smashing their armor or MP helps a lot.
Team Piggyman vs. Kanji, Ramza, Tidus (Caladbolg) and Crono - Less sure on this one, but kneejerking that just a plain ol' blitz does the trick here.  Tidus is playing the long-game with buffs - if he attacks, Garnet heals.  And Chemist is solid backup healing anyway regardless.  But Orlandu damage + Cray damage + Garnet summon should just kill everyone except Kanji, right?  And Adray will be backing it up anyway.  So yeah.  Just kill them all.

Team Yoshi: Abstain, no Cielo.

Can't Adray join in on the MP busting fun as well? That really feels like a deadly combination.

Edit: For that matter, MT night sword healing does help, but not sure it's relevant here.

He can! Just he's slower than Orlandu and Tidus, which makes his MP busting just beating on a dead dog, but it should cover Kanji for realsies, if nothing else.

What can Chemist do here to help? Is a status blitz possible?

Floor 1: Ressurection (100% HP and 100% MP Revival), Resist Ice/Thunder/Fire (Absorb one element), Levitate (FLOAT) Lamia's Kiss (Charm), Restorative (Heals some status.)
Floor 3: Protect Drink, Split Shell (1/2 Defense and Magic Defense), Haste Drink, Panacea, Succubus Kiss (Drain)

That's what he has access to here. Charm fits your needs?

I think Richard can speak better to this, but I think I need to change that so it says "Confusion."

I'll check that. It might be effectively a confusion variant. Either one should disrupt badly enough, tho.

EDIT:
*****
CHARM
*****

On characters, the target is uncontrollable in battle and will always issue a
Fight command against a random party member.  If the character has either the
White, Red, or Black command equipped, he may also cast a random spell against
a random party member (healing spells will be cast on a random enemy target).
Physical attacks against the target will automatically hit.  Cannot evade
attacks with Aegis Shield, Evade Ability, Hardened, Defender, Guardian or Elf
Cape.  Cannot protect other party members with Cover.
On monsters, it overrides their AI script. They will not follow any React
scripts or Condition scripts and overrides being Flirted as well.  They will
randomly do one of the attacks that are listed under "Control" in the Monster
Data section.  They will target a random enemy (healing spells will be cast
on a random party member).

Inflicted by: Charm, Charm Song, Lamia Harp, Tempting Tango, Allure, Rocket
              Punch, Will-o-Wisp, Lamia's Kiss, Failure (Turtle Shell+Dragon
Fang), Dark Sigh, Grand Cross, Dancing Dagger

Cured by: Heal, Medicine, Pancea, Restorative, Pray, successful physical
attack (damage can be zero), Dead status, end of battle

Immunity granted by: Lamia's Tiara, Genji Helmet, Rainbow Suit, Genji Armor,
Bone Mail, Red Shoes, Berserk Status, Charm Status,
                     Controlled Status

So yeah, it's pretty much Charm.

I'd see it working the same it does on PCs, not on monsters though.

Orlandu's not a speed demon yet and weapon breaking only lowers Tidus's and Ramza's offense. Kanji and Crono need weapons for thier damage. Cray's only fast on his first turn which means that Tidus and Crono lap everyone and once Tidus uses Haste the entire team gets a turn before the other team. I see FFX slow as cancelling out Cray's Speed spell and inflicting slow in its place because that's what it does in game.

Just wanna rebuttal to this. Crono doesn't need his weapon, true, but he's likely equipped with the Swallow, which is what makes him so damn fast to begin with. He's still fairly above average without it, but it also drops him a good chunk, and he's no longer a speed demon. Even so, Luminaire isn't overwhelmingly good, and if you really DO consider Luminaire such a hassle, Chemist can make my entire party ABSORB lightning, if you see him as having a turn to spare, that is. Passed that, Orlandu's already either raped their weapons, or nuked their MP, whichever you see as more important to pull off first. In either case, it ruins their plans a fair bit. Orlandu COULD in fact, equip a Green Beret to give him the extra speed boost he needs to go before Tidus, but if you still see Tidus as faster, it makes the battle a little tougher, but with broken weapons, they can't put on that much pressure. They need to now rely on Crono's magic (which I've already stated can be completely negated), and Kanji, who's a slug himself anyways. The only turns the enemy team is getting before Orlandu begins to wreck havoc are Crono, and possibly Tidus, and Garnet's likely going after Orlandu, who's going to heal off most of the damage anyways. Hell, she can summon, too, if you thin Cray, Orlandu and a summon would be enough to blitz them anyways.

As for FFX Slow removing Haste, that's true, but Haste is more a status effect than it is a stat boost. I don't think Slow would negate the stat boost provided by Cray, but I'm just throwin' in my two cents. Feel free to disagree.

EDIT: And I didn't even mention Adray getting a turn. Whether he's helping Garnet heal, or just adding to the damage total, he's making life harder for the enemy team regardless.

Adray definitely gets a turn if peeps are taking all ARPG characters as average yeah. Are we?

If not then it's six and half a dozen whether Adray's starting off with slower movement rate than Maria or not >_> It'd be some kind of feat for anyone going *after* Kanji though <_<
