Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island

All levels are taken at 35.  While the game can easily be finished at much lower levels and one ending requires level 50, this seemed best because everyone learns their last skill on or before level 35.  It's also a reasonable level to be at on a casual playthrough (at least for Annie who is forced into the party at all times).

Turns
Atelier Annie is phase based, with all PCs acting at once and all enemies acting at once.  However, whether or not the PCs go first in a given round is determined by the average of their SPD stat compared to the average of the enemies' SPD stat, with some randomization.  As such, there can be turn orders like PCs -> enemies ->(new round) enemies -> PCs ->(new round) enemies -> PCs ->(new round) PCs -> enemies.  Turn order within a PC phase or enemy phase is determined by SPD with randomization again.

Rows
Both the PCs and enemies have access to a front row and a back row.  Rows have no bearing on how much damage is dealt, but attacks from or to the back row are less accurate (consequently, being in the back row increases evade rate).  In addition, skills other than the basic attack can only be used in the correct row.  PCs and enemies can switch rows on their turn as a free action (and may do so as many times as they wish).

Skills
Each PC has four skills.  Two of these skills (one in fore, one in rear) can be used an unlimited number of times.  The other two skills (again, one in fore, one in rear) can only be used once per battle (unless the Skill Drop or other item with the effect is used).  In fact, only ONE of these skills may be used once per battle.  For example, if Annie uses Agent Pepe!, she cannot use Pepe Prank.  These OPB skills will be indicated by *.

Stats
HP: If you lose these, Pepe bitches at you.  And you don't want that.
ATK: Affects physical damage dealt.
MAG: Affects magical damage dealt.
DEF: Decreases physical damage taken.  1 point corresponds to 1 less damage.
RES: Decreases magical damage taken.  1 point corresponds to 1 less damage.
SPD: Determines initiative speed, accuracy, evade, and chance to escape battle.

Criticals
All attacks have about a 10% or so chance to critical.  Criticals seem to increase damage by 1/3 before defense.  For basic attacks this is equal to half of the attack stat.

Kilbert's skills are inverted- Fragrach is front row rather than back, and same for Skull Breaker, etc.

For what it's worth you can use alchemy to add traits to weapons that can hit weakness on enemies and to armors to (I believe) resist certain attacks. The caveat is that these traits are colors like red, blue, green, etc. instead of elements like fire or ice.

I haven't checked the faqs yet, but I'm not sure all the colors match up to any traditional elements neatly enough to seriously consider them as equivalent to standard RPG elements.

The colors correspond more to enemy types/species/races than anything.

Red: Puni, Plant
Yellow: Plant, Bird, Rock
Blue: Water
Purple: Ghost, Element, Dragon
Green: Human, Lizard
