A legendary hero with a legendary axe and legendary gun facing off against anything less than legendary is a legendary recipe for a legendary catastrophe. Legendary in his own right for many reasons, the legendary might of Odin is unmatchable - a mere lancer thinks he can top this? Odin may have little strategy other than his legendary prowess at hitting things with an axe in the face really hard, but against something less than legendary like Cid Highwind, does anything else matter? A single strike to Cid's legendarily ugly face with the legendary Laconian Axe, and Cid will fall down in an instant, long before he can unleash any of his own "legendary" limit breaks. Of course, even a limit break won't kill the legendary warrior Odin with the legendary resilience of the greatest legendary heroes of yore - only some legendary combat prowess, which Cid lacks, can take down the legendary hero. You don't get called a legendary hero for nothing - legendary power, legendary resilience, and a legendary legacy of legendary competence.
