Jowy- I think? Teepo can take two hungry friends fairly easily, but he has issues damaging Jowy.
Namatame- WA1o Harken

Adachi- Meliadoul is just bad against bosses. BUTBUTUBUT LW FORM (no). Think that Fear gets Meliadoul at absolute worst.

Meg- Strong kneejerk, open for arguments.
Bo- Bo's fairly competent for a L/M slugger.

Heavy/Godlike:

Jowy (S2) vs Teepo (BoF3)- Teepo has 3 PC HP to me. Jowy misses the OHKO to normal on average. So Jowy needs 4 hits to kill. Teepo is average speed, and JJowy is 115% speed to me, so no 4-3 (Although I guess no 4-3 to anyone), so Teepo does get in 3 hits. If Triple Hit is evadable, Jowy needs to evade 2. Although, no a Triple Hit and a Sirocco should do it. BoF is swarming the pools, but not losing to me! Or...two weaker spells and then Sirocco also do it. That's 120% PC HP damage, which is 650 in S2 terms. Jowy has 520 HP and cuts magic by 25 points, so Mdef wouldn't save him even if evade did.
Lady Harkan (WA1) vs Taro Namatame (Pers4)- Taro lost his normal match on elements. He wins this one at least.

Middle/Heavy:

Adachi (P4) vs Meliadoul Tingel (FFT)- No breaks+good against physicals
Arche Klein (ToP) vs Jeff (EB)- Oh fucking hell. This bitch and her shitass ID is upgrading. Borderline Light in Heavy.

Light/Middle:

Meg (Suikos) vs Cray (BoF4)- I think BoF 4 defense mult is 10. Small defense curve means that this normally isn't too potent. One shot of Cray's defense buffing puts him like twice outside the normal range. Two shots and he's laughing at damage. Please tell me though if my belief on mults is wrong. I believe that's how the PC version worked attack wise, but maybe it's different on the other end?
Kain Highwind (FF4) vs Bo (BoF1)- Getting use out of Cura~ (He wins regardless)
...into the nightfall.

Heavy/Godlike:

Jowy (S2) vs Teepo (BoF3): Aside from little differences in speed interps which don't change anything important, Dhyer's analysis is spot on to me.

Middle/Heavy:

Adachi (P4) vs Meliadoul Tingel (FFT): Ghastly Wail gets around ID protection in game because P4's ID protection is tied to elements, but against something that plain stops all ID like an FFT blocker, no dice, even if Adachi can land fear. Past that, Aegis just buys Melia too much time combined with that physical durability.

Light/Middle:

Meg (Suikos) vs Cray (BoF4): Outslugs under SL and gets to stack shields if Meg tries anything different.
Kain Highwind (FF4) vs Bo (BoF1): mmhm.

Heavy/Godlike:

Jowy (S2) vs Teepo (BoF3): Man, good fight. 3PC Teepo sounds right, but Jowy is quite a bit more damaging to me. Still, think he just misses it, unless I decide I'm overestimating Teepo's HP. Would win if he had 3 Hungry Friends!

Light/Middle:

Meg (Suikos) vs Cray (BoF4): Dhyer/Monkey are both correct. Shield mocks Meg unless she goes for turn 1 SL and I doubt she outslugs under that.
Kain Highwind (FF4) vs Bo (BoF1): Cura hype.

Heavy/Godlike:

Jowy (S2) vs Teepo (BoF3): Doesn't Teepo have accurate confuse and magic? That's pretty damning against a mage.
Lady Harkan (WA1) vs Taro Namatame (Pers4): Whee 3x weaknesses.

Middle/Heavy:

Adachi (P4) vs Meliadoul Tingel (FFT): Failure is the only option.
Arche Klein (ToP) vs Jeff (EB):

40% ID that only works on about 10% enemies in-game is definitely something I'd define as really shitty.

It works on significantly more than 10% of enemies at endgame. Also if you're going to consider immunities I expect you to be held to that for every other game.

I'm going by the general agreement that was in the old stat topic. And I do tend to partially factor in it when it reaches above a certain threshold. But Arche's ID I gut check about 20%, so I don't fully factor it in. Note that if the old notes were off it would change my mind, but I've never seen any notations otherwise.

Pyro did a bunch of tests a while ago on the ID.

EDIT: I have no idea where they went, though.

Definitely agree with Pyro here - foes are either susceptible, intermediate, or resistant (to use antimicrobial sensitivities) to the instant death in-game.  That's just how it works, and by the time you get it, there are more resistant opponents, and spamming damage works better overall for clearing things out.  The ID went about 40% off Extinction and 50% for Klarth's Chameleon when I tested it...I don't remember what Pyro's numbers were, but I think they were similar?

As Pyro said, there's a lot of status that honestly you may find worthless in-game that becomes better in the DL.  It happens, and should be rewarded/punished equally (i.e., don't respect any status that wasn't useful in-game, or respect all of it...then this runs into in-game use arguments!  yay!).

I can do a count of the total number of viable ID-vulnerable enemies later today, but it's more than 10% in the Future, and far more than 10% overall (for all the the Future is all that probably really counts).  It's at least 50% or so, I'd guess, since there are foes both of the intermediate and susceptible variety.

If other statuses are generally as horrible as originally reported it was, I would penalize them.

I wound up with 55% for Extinction over a fairly extensive set of tests.

Shockingly, the FF 4 sequel that no one has played also has no one voting on it. Not to mention that Meg's healing is really useful here because Jump gives her free turns to heal. Nothing Meg does gives Kain free turns.

Edit: Ha, I forgot what week it even was. Yeah, ha ha response to Cura hype (Which I admitted was a straight up joke). Bo is faster to me, and more importantly, has like 50% better damage than Kain even considering Jump. Yet, the same principle applies. Kain is giving Bo a whole free turn to use his 18% or so healing, while Bo is giving no such turns to Kain. It is a seriously major flaw in Kain's strategy when he needs two turns to do like 30% damage (No Holy!). 18% healing is cutting off 2/3 of Kain's damage and not impacting Bo's ability to attack at all.

See Dhyer on the subject of After Years hype for Kain. Unless you meant the Blood Spear, but isn't the accuracy on that thing absolutely hideous?

Dragoon Gauntlets get rid of any accuracy woes Kain had with his Blood Spear, but who cares about that no anyways, right?

The Dragon Gauntlets that guard elements? No mention of that in the stat topic, which in turn made me double check RPGclassics, where it doesn't even seem like the item is noted as having absolutely any effect on accuracy at all. Which would leave Blood Lance with...35% Precision as opposed to 93% (Which...1x less mult and about 20% Attack?)? Bo was really smashing Kain to bit anyways. He has 50% more damage considering Jump non Blood Lance and is faster. Kain uses Blood Lance and quarters his damage. Now Bo's healing is FULL HEALING every Jump and Kain is slow and Bo's damage is now like 5x Kain's.
