Round 3:
Match 49
There's something primal about two teams, a pit filled with something embarrassing, and a rope. The Tug of War, where each contestant must recruit a team to aid them in out tugging their foe.
Welch Vineyard is well known throughout the Game, though perhaps less so in 4-D space. And will likely be able to drum up support that way. While her opponent is the every charismatic Richard Hawk, who even if he can't drum up some allies, can certainly draft a small army.
Match 50
Greetings, multiverse. Captain Kirk has boldly gone where no one has gone before, and sampled everything those places had to offer. And when he was finally forced to stop travelling the galaxy, he came here to continue sampling the delights the universe had to offer him, here at his own culinary arena. Here he's gathered the finest chefs the universe has to offer, and accepts all challengers.
Today's challenger hails from the Western Kingdom of Adelhyde. Cecilia Lynn Adelhyde may be a princess, but she was also the token female in an adventuring party that crossed the globe in a japanese game, so you just know she did all the cooking. And she's looking to put those skills to the test today.
The defender will be Iron Chef Fabul, whose skill with the Frying Pan is legendary. Known primarily as wife to the current King of Fabul, she's ready to dish out defeat to this uppity challenger as she's dealt with so many others.
Match 51
There's some who say that when it comes to the blogosphere there's no such thing as winners or losers. But only the losers ever think that, so who cares about them. After all, hits and friends are the currency of this realm, and celebrity the name of the game. And the one who has the most, wins.
Fun Master Ion may be a mild-mannered soul, but with the company he keeps, he'll have fodder for ages, and all he needs to rake in the hits. But Hilda, with her wild mood swings, and almost equally zany party, should be able to be a strong draw as well.
Match 52
The King is dead! Long live the King!
Of course, we're not talking about any monarch here, but the King of Rock himself, Elvis. But while many can try, there can only be one King. And these two are going to have to do their best to show why they deserve the crown.
Leo and Kanji both have the irreverant attitude required to be a rock star, and both are ready to dress up for a cause. Of course, Leo's strength comes in his self confidence and already being used to dressing in white, while Kanji counters by being a Japanese teen, and therefore already likely to known how to sing thanks to kareoke, and possibly already being familiar with Elvis' songs.
Match 53
There are some feats which, when accomplished, become the stuff of legend. Today, two challengers strive to accomplish one such legend. To sell the entire collection of the Encyclopedia Britannica, including all of the suppliments.
Maria will have the issue that when she's from, there's doubtless some super advanced version of Wikipedia to contend with, while Dungeon Man's challenge is that there's almost no one in his world who'd even be especially interested in such a product, and even if there is, a social hermit like himself is unlikely to meet any.
Match 54
The challenge is simple, each will have 15 minutes. In this time they must create the most mind scarring image possible. Whoever causes their target to spend more time in therapy wins.
As the perpetual second man, Luigi's doubtless got a lot of time to think of some rather unsettling ideas. Not to mention all of the crazy places he's been, and the mind altering substances he's ingested over the years to gain "super powers". So much that in recent times he's learned how to emit a hallucinogenic cloud around himself.
Of course, against this is Rafa and Malak Galthanas who're ready to show us their "special skills". I'm not entirely sure what this will entail, but odds are exploding frogs will be the least of it.
Match 55
Sometimes, you need to know where someone is going, or you just need to stay with them, but you also need them not to know that you're there. That's where you need to know how to stalk someone. And today's match will go to whoever is best at stalking their prey.
Both of our contestants actually hail from FF6 this time. With Mog showing his stuff with nick of time rescues and the Moogle Charm which removes distractions. And Ultros just using his extreme dedication to revenge which lets him keep on showing up in the paths of those who cross him.
Match 56
We've had the gladitorial combat, and the bar fight, both competitions where strength of arm are what matter, and magical might counts for nothing. And now we have their counterpart, the duel arcane, where a physical blow disqualifies the user, and magical might is all that matters.
Cloud Strife is likely going to regret that the one element he'd want most is the one he doesn't start with. However, he still has his trusty Bolt Materia to give him the slugging power he needs.
Mitsuru had to execute Roy in the bar brawl, but now she can unsling her invoker and show the power of her Persona. With her powerful Bufu skills she has slugging power backed up by strong supporting magic, this should be an easy fight for the SEES head.
