ooh boy. Tentative work in progress list. Comments added beside some of them for you reading pleasure
10/10 - Personal Favourites
Ikagura: If I could buy this game now, I would. For someone who grew up with plane shooters, this game was the SHIT
Super Mario 64
Biker Mice from Mars: Weird? Of all the racing types of this genre I've played where you race and upgrade things, this was the best one of its kinda. Significant differences across all 6 playable PCs, and was pretty balanced throughout. Throttle was probably the weakest, but even he gets pretty nasty.
9/10 - Very good games. I've Spent tons of time on these basically practicing, replaying, You name it.
Banjo Kazooie: I found it better than the sequel version before things got a lot more complicated. As it was, the old BK brought back fond memories.
Star Fox 64
Donkey Kong Country 2
Kirby Super Star Ultra: Hell yes, KSS, except with some added modes and extra bonus. Gives it that extra boost here
Diddy Kong Racing (64)
Mario Golf (64)
Time Crisis 3
8/10: Pretty good games that have held my attention and I would come back to even today.
Power Stone 2
Rock and Roll Racing
Streets of Rage
Turtles in Time
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (and Knuckles port): I'm treating the entire thing as one game here. Easily the best Sonic incarnation game
Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Version B
Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike
Marvel vs. Capcom
Simpsons: Arcade
Yoshi's Island DS
Kirby Super Star
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Super Mario Kart: Double Dash
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (PSX): The best version of Harvest Moon I've played personally. Whatever that says.
7/10: Solid games which I've had fun with. Some flaws hold them back.
AeroBusters: I grew up with plane shooters. This game is great fun and doesn't throw as much bullshit deaths as Thunder Force 3.
Columns: It's not Tetris, but I grew up with a genesis and Columns was a suitable replacement on some levels.
Megaman X4
Snowboard Kids
Snowboard Kids 2: Cult classic game for me.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Tiny Toon Adventures: Acme All Stars
Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge (SNES)
Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck: World of Illusion
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Smash Brothers
6/10: Above average territory. Worth pulling out once in a while
Star Fox Command: The better of the modern SF games. Keeps the original Star Fox formulae for the most part.
Looney Tunes B-ball
Roadrunner and Wile E Coyote: Desert Demolitions: ANOTHER cult classic. It's a hideously short game, but some great moments otherwise.
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose
Mickey Mouse's Castle of Illusion
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario Kart 64
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Harvest Moon 64
Ghostbusters (Gens)
5/10: Average. Noticable problems, but can be fun if you turn away.
Thunder Force III: If you want bullshit deaths for a plane shooter, play this.
Sonic the Hedgehog (Gens)
Sonic Riders
Donkey Kong Country III
Time Crisis
Mario Party (and all subsequent versions)
Mario Tennis (64): Problem with this game when I played it was that the AI falls prey to you if just stick to the net. Human players mimic it, and it ends up being more about luck than anything else
4/10: Below Average. Might pull them up to play, but something about them makes me cringe and basically unable to play it for long.
Donkey Kong 64
Star Fox Assault: On Foot levels is horrible experimental failure. But they have on Rails, and that's done right at least.
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Treasure Island: Inferior to Buster Busts Loose to me. Again, there's some really stupid bullshit the game pulls on you. Especially the last 2 levels with nothing but instant death traps.
Megaman X5
Yoshi's Story: I can see people liking it - I just don't though
3/10: Underwhelming. Basically stuff I would not pick up and play.
DinoLand
Street Smarts
Bubsy 2
Star Fox Adventures: Good god. Don't play this game. It's a Zelda mock up except 10x stupid. The camera is awful, and the abilities are just badly set up over the controls. There's also random stupid fetch quest shit all over the place.
2/10 - Bad
Junction
Lion King
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (GG)
Ergheiz: Man, I remember playing this at the time and was so hyped for it. The controls are a mess and the camera is no better. Not to mention the original characters basically have blocky ass motions.
1/10 - LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLZ
Action 52 in 1: Hay guize. 52 shitty games in 1 is more like it amirite
Batman Forever: Mortal Kombat but with Batman as a sidescroller. Oh also, unless you have the manual, don't bother trying to do special moves. Also cryptic as shit.
Superman 64: The controls are something that you have to see to believe. They're that atrocious
