Petrify is instant win? Well, that's not even worth thinking about.

None of Thanatos' spells are instant wins, but he has Balloon Ring which does (shitty) damage and also Balloons a character, so he can just keep doing that.

The idea is that insta-heal makes non-fatal debilitating status not a problem because Yu heals it off before his turn. Can anyone confirm? Also are we sure Unshaken will wasn't status immunity? (no idea)

Yu's status curing fixes it at the end of the round. This doesn't help against game over status (See Virgil/Shadow Wing), but it does if the status does not result in a game over.

He doesn't have status immunity like that or he'd be bluelike and unranked. I specifically checked for that before we ranked P4.

I'm not sure if this is right, either, but I remember discussing this with Tal years ago and having mentioned that Yu needs to spend at least one action turn under the status before it heals, which makes it not terribly useful if he's running against perfect hit rate status. There could be the possibility that petrify causes game-overs if nobody else is alive as well (like it happens with VP2 Freeze and Paralysis), but I don't remember either way regarding that in SoM.

[Dark Holy Elf]

Regarding Maya/Zeal, another look.

Zeal does 21% with Dark Gear, 43-44% with Hexagon Mist. If Maya is below 108% average durability, Zeal can avoid one Calamity Jane and 3HKO by opening Dark Gear, which should give her the win. I'm really not sure where I see Maya's HP... but it's probably above this range slightly. (110% or so?) If Maya has over 130% she wins this extremely easily. I would not kneejerk this to be the case, though.

Zeal's HP I can pin down easily thanks to Fenrirstats, which seem reasonable to me: 182%. Calamity Jane does... oh hell. Extremely close to half that, 1507 to "under 1700" HP. Why didn't I write down the exact number, I fail. The cutoff seems to be 1656, roughly. Uh... average HP is probably higher than that, but it's close.

If you hold Zeal to that "skips first turn" thing she apparently has she definitely loses. I don't think I do.

Overall I find myself favouring Zeal slightly now but the match is very close. Maybe if I'm non-lazy I'll try and dig up my save file before Schroedingers mark 4 and get the actual HP figure recorded.
