Hi. This is under construction, obviously. Thank you for visiting, and on to content. I suppose I should provide the disclaimer that this is a cast of all mecha (called wanzers), which (idiotically) means that even if it did have much better sales it probably wouldn't be ranked. Oh well.

The system has a few quirks. Battles in Front Mission 4 are turn-based, much like those in the Fire Emblem series or Disgaea. Counter-attacks can be initiated by any PC/enemy with the exception of those using rockets/grenades/missiles, provided they are at proper range and have sufficient AP.

Second, PCs do not have one HP total, but rather four: Body, Left Arm, Right Arm and Legs. For the purposes of this stat topic, I have simply added up these values to reach an HP value for each wanzer. This is the simplest way of doing things, though individual HPs are also listed for those who want to draw their own conclusions as far as when/if certain wanzer parts are destroyed in battle.

Tertially, wanzers can choose either Piercing, Impact, or Fire armor before battle. Damage taken by each armor type from the three attack types is as follows:

Piercing - 67% Pierce, 150% Fire, 100% Impact
Fire - 100% Pierce, 67% Fire, 150% Impact
Impact - 150% Pierce, 100% Fire, 67% Impact

Finally, skills marked as battle skills are not selected, but rather activate randomly, if equipped, when a wanzer attacks or is attacked. If two battle skills activate for a PC in the same round, the second will get a 20% bonus to damage. There are a few command skills that can be selected when attacking, with a cost of AP. Now, onto stat descriptions and PCs.

HP: Total HP of all wanzer body parts. Kyar.
AP: Action Points. Each action requires a certain amount of these. A PC cannot make more than one movement or weapon/backpack action in its turn.
AP Charge: Amount of AP regained at the beginning of a PC's turn.
Link Points: Inconsequential. Included for completeness.
Skill Slots: Determines the number of skills a PC can equip.
Speed: Determines turn order. Seems useless in the DL until you realize that a speedy PC can counterattack before actually being hit.
Evasion: Simple. From what I can tell, it's sort of a subtraction evasion/accuracy system. In other words, someone with a 72% chance to hit can never hit Bosch.
W/P: Weight/Power ratio. Power is determined by your wanzer body (and sometimes backpack), and weight is the total weight of all other wanzer parts and equipment. For melee fighters, low weight is beneficial as the W/P ratio factors directly into melee damage. Otherwise inconsequential, and included for completeness.
Weapon Proficiencies: Are already factored into weapon damage for the topic, so don't worry about them. PCs have been allowed to equip any weapon in which they naturally gain proficiency. For the record, 3 points in a weapon gives a 67% bonus to the weapon's listed damage, 2 points gives a 50% bonus, and 1 point hasn't been tested as it is not applicable to DL-legal PCs.

The negative stati are as follows. Listed in each PC's field are the stati to which they are resistant, and the percentage thereof. All stati last three turns, I believe.

Systems Down: Prevents target from moving or taking any action.
Link Cut: Prevents target from linking. Useless.
Attack Systems Down: Prevents target from attacking.
BP Systems Down: Prevents target from utilizing equipped backpack.
Move Systems Down: Halves target movement.

Damage has been figured by starting with the weapons' listed damage, adding weapon proficiency bonuses (and W/P bonus for melee weapons), and multiplying this number by the percent accuracy, for weapons below 100%. Ranged weapons are assumed to be at point blank, where their damage is highest. Ranged damage will be lower at longer ranges, which might be applicable if the characters are trying to avoid melee counters.

Because the puny cup calls for it. The MIGHTY Sancho. I'm comparing him to Tide's notes- the LA guys are definitely endgame.  Using the same HP convention.


Sancho

1060 (Avg:  1400)
Arms: 530 (avg: 700)
Legs:  705(Avg: 930)
Armor: Bullet (Resist pierce/gunfire, weak explosions. See the first post for details.)

Total HP: 2825 (73%)
Attack:  28x8=208. 60% accuracy     against 0 evasion, so averages 125 damage. Impact elemental.

Average:  600 Kill point: 1500.

Speed: 1. Movement: Six. Both are below average. (Speed average on Darrill's path is 4).

Sancho has a backpack that gets refilled free of charge after every map. Notable items: Repair 1200 (10x), Shotgun ammo max (3x), Remove all status (10x)

Notes: Oh my god, that offense. 12HKO, fragile, and slow. Even with the healing, a definite puny.
