So I mentioned Civilization V's placement was subject to change. Well, after a few more weeks of chain-playing, consider it moved up past VVVVVV and Paper Mario into the #5 slot, at the very least. It's close between this and XCOM for my favourite recent western game; I think I hold XCOM more highly in theory but Civ 5 is certainly more addicting.

OH! Didn't list Curse of Darkness. Short version (blame Ciddy as always): Music's great, gameplay has a lot of cool ideas, could've done without the crazy spike in challenge near the end of the game. It's decent without being outstanding.
