Renault (FE7) vs Shiho (VP1)- I don't recall dark books having a notable crit rate. Renault can't deal with her healing otherwise.
Sancho (FM4) vs Randolph (Lufia 3)- Randolph sits and waits for a 75 IP to trigger. Sancho can do nothing about this.

Renault (FE7) vs Shiho (VP1)- Y'know what, Shiho runs him out of weapons and I'm not thinking about it any further.
Sancho (FM4) vs Randolph (Lufia 3)- No vote.

Chidori Yoshino (Pers3) vs Whelk (FF6)- So... if Chidori can survive a Mega Volt, she can basically troll forever with mind charge, tetrakarn, and offense of her choice.  In absence of precise numbers for Whelk, I'm inclined to believe she does so, if by a narrow margin indeed.  e: meeple has provided me compelling numbers to the contrary.
Paula (EB) vs Frederick (FE13)- No vote.

Renault (FE7) vs Shiho (VP1) - I tend to doubt Renault getting the string of crits needed to take this.  (Also I let statusblocker/element resist accessories block one or the other and I suspect that doing so allows her to wait a bit longer between heals)
Sancho (FM4) vs Randolph (Lufia 3) - Thus ends the mighty Sancho's reign of terror.

Paula (EB) vs Frederick (FE13) - Paula is dead average speed, average FE13 threat range taking the average of both promotion choices is... 8.04, placing Frederick below.  Frederick can open with a javelin but he can't really win with it, she 3HKOs him (and like most else, doubles him) and javelin damage isn't scary to even her.

Renault's crits can't be THAT bad, Shiho is not a defensive tank and if it comes fast enough he'll get regular attacks to go with it.

I was all set to vote Arietta over Frederick too, but guess not.  (Arietta ORKOs off a double according to the stat topic numbers, epic Frederick MDef + Spd hype and all.  I looked this up since I thought we were going to get epic Arietta vs. Chidori hype for the semis.)

Renault (FE7) vs Shiho (VP1): Easily wins. Renault has a 6HKO with Divine (Shiho doesn't double him even with that, you need to be above average speed) and 10% crit. Shiho can heal once every four Renault attacks, but in order to make headway she'll need to attack once herself, triggering a counter, so Renault gets 5 attacks in. If one of those crits the total multiplier is 7. Even if you cut effective crit rate in half, Renault still has 5%, which means he has a 23% chance of getting a crit every cycle. Shiho doesn't do well when her opponent has a 23% chance of doing anything, given how long the fight is.

Chidori Yoshino (Pers3) vs Whelk (FF6) - SO willing to see Chidori as vulnerable to Slow. And Whelk should 4HKO her at worst even with his normal damage. She doesn't really -have- to trigger Bolt 2 counters (I'm pretty sure she has ST, and if she HAD to, holy crap that'd be gross overkill), but she gets kinda badly outslugged after Slow even after counting Makarakarn damage, her HP is just too horrible.
Paula (EB) vs Frederick (FE13) - EDIT: Wait, Paula is faster. Random is entirely right then.
