Blue (SaGa Frontier) vs Ramza Beoulve* (Final Fantasy Tactics)
Hey, will Reflect Mail + 97% Blade Grasp + some status blocking hold Blue off? Maybe?
Minato Arisato (Persona 3) vs Tiz Arrior* (Bravely Default)
To win, Minato / Yuki needs to both be seen as having his initiative be better than Bravely Second, and since Tiz is immune to damage anyway, have some sort of nasty status.
Adamantoise (Final Fantasy XIII) vs Kimahri* (Final Fantasy X)
Attacking the forelegs is madness, they'll regrow too quickly. So Kimahri is just busting down the main body while being constantly overkilled by Quake. This strategy will take approximately 3750 turns at minimum, possibly more like 5000 turns, plus the delays from dying. (OD gets cleared on death, right? So no Doom.) I suppose that's fast enough to win before the PS2 breaks. (I would vote for the boss if the PC's strategy involves such an insanely long length of time the player / console is dead in executing it, but this one is borderline.)
Zophar (Lunar: Eternal Blue) vs Alexia Lynn Elesius* (Wild ARMs XF)
Slice & dice.
Gawn Brawdia (Wild ARMs 4) vs Barret Wallace* (Final Fantasy VII)
1 HP Plus isn't enough.
Yuna (Final Fantasy X) vs Claude Kenni* (Star Ocean: The Second Story)
Tricky. Claude's damage has a better argument than most to cut through Auto-Life, i.e. kill Yuna on the earlier hits then kill her again on the later hits. Evade isn't really helpful here against multi-hits of INSANE damage (if all hit, it's like 5 PCHP+ damage, so Evade & Protect aren't stopping a OHKO every time). A better strat might be some kind of Valefor Delay-lockdown if Bloody Armor isn't seen as immuning Delay while Claude dies to the Armor... can you still get staggered while in it?
Anyway, Laggy/super/etc. want to say how often Claude needs to Energy Sword? If just killing Yuna through auto-life is out, then it's down to resources. Yuna's got 344 shots of Auto-Life, but probably needs to use it after every single Claude attack.
Leaning Claude ATM on just killing Yuna through Auto-Life, but coudl be argued, especially if Claude needs to Energy Sword really aggressively if he doesn't immune stagger/peep and having to worry about surprise Valefor.
