Group 1 Winners:

1) Final Fantasy Tactics - Yeah. Gameplay's enjoyable enough.
2) Phantom Brave - Morona is the game's second biggest flaw (shush, fanboys). Lacking damage prediction is the first. Neither are greatly painful, in the end.
3) Shadow Hearts 2 - Stylish.
4) Valkyrie Profile - It's a cool idea, repetition isn't greatly tiring when you suck at it as bad as I do. >_>
5) Super Robot Taisen: OG1 - Fun little game, has some replay in Battle Masteries.
6) Saga Frontier - Lack of polish? Eh. A lot of it is done well enough and with enough options that I can cope.
7) Breath of Fire 4 - Cute game, too long in the midgame.
8) Phantasy Star 4 - Also cute game, but... eh, just not too fond of it, comparatively. >_> Emphasis on comparatively!
9) Final Fantasy X - Keep in mind I relatively like this a lot, too!
10) Chrono Trigger - Replayable, somewhat cute.
11) Fire Emblem 7 - Is still above 5.0. This is impressive.
12) Ogre Battle 64 - Mmmf.

Group 1 Losers:

1) Dragon Warrior 7 - ...bfsdiubgvsdlfiugb what BEST GAME ON THIS LIST. -_-; Well, to me. People with low tolerance for irritably long beginning stages stay the hell away. (If I didn't like the mid-end game so much, it'd probably be around 10th. But... yeah.)
2) Shadow Hearts - I don't remember the game at all.
3) Earthbound - BOING~
4) Chrono Cross - Battles are pretty cool. Plot doesn't exist. No, no, it really doesn't. It's a Suikoden without the plot, with a slightly better battle system to me, worse graphics, and not as amusing. Yeah.
5) Seiken Densetsu 3 - Replayable. Not good otherwise.
*drop*
6) Grandia 1 - Dialogue is okay.
7) Shining Force 2 - Battles don't fail horribly.
8) Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together - Story is good! Gameplay scares me.
9) Xenosaga 1 - Movie in a game.
*drop*
10) Lufia 3 - Not really redeemable, looking at it more and more.
*DROP DROP DROP*
11) Legend of Dragoon - It had slightly interesting battles maybe the first time.
12) Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced - gets its 0.1 from the Illusionist class, which is an interesting idea that I disliked the execution of. The rest? Trash. Go away, game.

Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Group 1 Winners:

1. Final Fantasy Tactics: Not a contest. It wins by miles even against my other top favourites. And not all of the games here even fall to that category.
2. Valkyrie Profile: Unique game which weaves a tale differently and felt very innovative. Loved it lots back then and still do now. Soundtrack is also good (varying but mostly good).
3. Fire Emblem 9: FE10 would've been above VP though! FE9 is still very good.
4. Final Fantasy X: Not as impressed by the characters/plot/setting. Gameplay pulls it up.
5. Fire Emblem 7: Good, but more impressed overall by FFX's gameplay than FE7's. Characters here are roughly the same. Plot is lol worthy though, so downwards.
6. Phantasy Star 4: Above average. Not much else.
7. Odin Sphere: It started off really promising. Then I got to Mercedes chapter and the bosses get more outrages one after another. Also, seconding Tal on wutfux on Inventory limit in a game with Item Synthesis. General gameplay dislike (though not hate) outweighs liking the way story is executed (plot itself is fluff, but told in an interesting way).

Group 1 Losers:

1. Earthbound: Probably the best out of the set here? EB is not overly impressive in an of itself, but the quirky humour beats pretty much everything. Has some fun moments, and of course NEW AGE RETRO HIPPIE. That totally owns this pool.
2. Xenosaga 1: Next 4 are really close. I'll bring XS1 ahead than the rest though since it had a lot of potential at the time. Battle system was mehish, but it was solid in some other areas. Shion still fucking blows though. And probably why this is closer than it should be.
3. Shadow Hearts: Think Shale put it best once in chat. Tries to be scary, but is not. First few dungeons are good. Um...rest of the game after midway is pretty bleh. But still.
4. Wild ARMs 1: Original isn't aged well, but still beats out lots here.
5. Seiken Densetsu 3: From what I played, the controls are weird and the plot is absolute epic. This beats the next three though, so you know what this is decending to!
- HUGE GAP -
6. Chrono Cross: Ugh, plot that is...incredibly retarded and leave it at that. Characters are even more one dimensional than the above. But at least nice graphics and good music. So hey, that's something
- HUGE GAP -
7. Final Fantasy 12: Super eats babies. Honestly ;_;. Anyways, my justification for FF12 > FFTA is that FF12 kept me playing for longer. Horrible pacing (worse than TotA IMO, and that in itself is impressive), the economy hates you, the gameplay sucks and all the characters also suck. Well except Balthier. But I've been over this.
8. Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced: I've played this for a grand total of 10 minutes or something and jesus. Everytime I try to pick it up, I stop playing it the moment I start. Its slow, and everything about FFT gone WRONG. I haven't even gotten to the horrible plot and characters following, but the game play alone is kljasdkhasda worthy.
<napalmman> In Suikoden I, In Chinchirorin, what is it called when you roll three of the same number?
