RPGVO 2022 Nomination Thread

In the spirit of EVO 2022, I figure it's time for a tournament.  In this case, since nonstandard DL competitions have their own unique gimmicks, I'm going to present my spin on this one straight up.

It's double-elimination.

With that, standard nominations.  Up to six per division from the CKDL Ranked List.

Rolls will start on 8/14/2022, barring interference.

Thought about going for a common theme but mostly decided to drop the idea.

Making nominal effort to match divisions but I'm not really sure and don't care enough to parse a ton of data.

H/G range

Yunalesca (FFX)  A token "can vote on this" nom and also a total dick in combat.
Ryu (BoF4)  Shares a name with Capcom's most prolific fighting game character.
Millenia (Grandia 2)  The original of course and not the rerelease where Spellbinding Eye got nerfed.
Zero (MMX: CM)  Is in a fighting game that's seen at tournaments and used at high-level play.

M/H range

Meliadoul (FFT)  Interesting dueler with a terrible win record.  Maybe the format will give her a chance to put on a better showing.
Nikki (MK)  Wrietup bait
Sabin (FF6)  Being heavily inspired by fighting games of course he's getting in.  I know I'm not the only one who's named him Guile.
Guile (CC)  Is actually named Guile, good enough even if nothing like the fighter with the flattop.

L/M range

Regal Bryant (ToS)  Feels most like a fighting game character to control.
Wilbell vol Ersleid (Atelier Ayesha)  Maybe not eligible but worth a try, no big deal if ineligible.  Besides, she's the type inclined to seek personal glory.
Ken Amada (Pers3)  Well if there's a Ryu, gotta have a Ken.  Just stick him in a red gi and a blond wig and no one will notice the difference...  ok, maybe that won't work out as well as believed.
Mia (GS)
Malak (FFT): Part of a pair as I'm fantasizing about them going up against each other.

Fight game theme tourney eh? Noms:

Godlike:
Lady (SH: FTNW) - The boss character - full on SNK boss syndrome who spams supers every 2 seconds and begins the fights with full meters
Yuri (SHs) - The guy who is just good all around. Has Combos!
Citan (XG) - The guy who has the best frame data and frame advantage. Also has combos! You know those after images would mean he has Genei Jin custom combos
Lenneth (VPs) - The character who would be able to fly so she'll be broke like MvC1 War Machine and have extreme aerial dominance.
X (MMX:CM) - The actual good zoner who has lots of fireballs and multiple keep-away tools

Heavy:
Jeremy (WA4) - Would be like Chipp Zanuff with the Inertia Cancelling and fast speed but also dies the moment he's hit. Literally.
Auron (FFX) - He would be a tank with a bunch of health that wins primarily on punishes. Except he would also have a lot of reach and some fast command normals marred by slow movement.
Lyon (Suiko5) - The character that would be extremely deadly as long as she has meter and has several ways of building it up quickly. Decent speed and smaller hitbox compared to everyone else helps.
Lady Harken (WA:ACF) - That scythe would give her disjointed hitboxes and multiple ways to cross-up, but would be a little fragile to compensate
Marguilis (XS2) - The puppet character who can trap you between himself and his clone then throw light punches all day to KO you

Middle:
Bowser (SMRPG) - I wanted to nom Captain Falcon but there is no DL version of Captain Falcon. Bowser has a Falcon Punch though. Gotta represent.
Clive (WA3) - The zoner who has no or bad wake up options, so he's dead if he ever gets knocked down and cornered
Ramza (FFT) - The stance change character that is so complicated that no one bothers learning him cause he ends up not that much better than anyone else
Alexia (WA:XF) - The character who is incredibly momentum based and wins or dies based on how good the opening 10 seconds of the round are.
Mia (FEs) - The character who doesn't have any crazy gimmicks. Just real, honest normals and specials. So easy to use but low ceiling.

Light:
Rico (XG) - It's Rico. Grappler life bois
Natan (SH: FTNW) - That character that requires you to do 50 gazillion hits just to register any form of damage
Ryudo (G2) - That character who is useless without meter and is barely functional with it.
Aika (SoA) - That character who has that one really good trick, but the moment you counter it, it's all over.
