Godlike

Avlora (Triangle Strategy) vs Elvis (Wild ARMs 5) - Outslugs pretty handily.  He's not a WA4 boss, but Elvis is still fast as hell, hits Avlora's weaker defense, and Avlora has to fight to get through Blocker.
Reicher Wallace (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) vs Amalia (Unicorn Overlord)
Rubicante (Final Fanasy IV) vs Rean Schwarzer (Trails of Cold Steel II)
Myria (Breath of Fire III) vs Dinah (Unicorn Overlord) - UO evasion shenanigans have a hole in status that isn't attached to damage, to my recall.  Myria has all the time in the world to pull out Evil Eye or Death.

Heavy

Maya Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3) vs Throné (Octopath Traveler II) - I forgot she was a limit boss, this is cut and dry.
Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Corrin (Fire Emblem Fates)
Lyndis (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade) vs Zatanna (Justice League Heroes)
Tidus (Final Fantasy X) vs Myuria Tionysus (Star Ocean: The Last Hope)

Middle

Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII) vs Estelle Bright (Trails in the Sky FC)
Warlock (Suikoden IV) vs Mu'ah (Brigandine: Legend of Runeseria)
Red Mage (Final Fantasy V) vs Hodrick (Unicorn Overlord) - Hodrick falls apart versus mages.  Especially mages that can heal.  Or inflict status.
L'Arachel (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones) vs Alexei (Eternal Poison) - The only reason Alexei even gets a turn is due to how I view FE AS interacting with non-FE.  Thus, L'Arachel doesn't double and she gets OHKO'd by Bonecrusher.  That's the only reason Alexei even gets a turn, I'm certain, given the +65% lightning weakness. (Assuming that actually counts as Lightning.  GBA FE anima spells tend to be a bit hazy on elemental application unlike the Tellius games.)  Assuming L'Arachel doesn't start kiting.

Light

Rahal (Suikoden V) vs Sancho (Front Mission 4)
Cecil Harvey (Final Fantasy IV) vs Kanone Amalthea (Trails in the Sky FC)
Karn (Breath of Fire) vs Kaguya Houraisan (Labyrinth of Touhou: Gensokyo and the Heaven-Piercing Tree) - Kaguya can only win slugging matches against other mages.  Karn is not a mage.
Cray (Breath of Fire IV) vs Elemancer Warlock (Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth) - Goes first by a significant margin, likely 2HKOs.  High-Speed Focus Chant leads to some solid 2HKO hits at base and Cray's cast-worst for MDEF.

Godlike

Avlora (Triangle Strategy) vs Elvis (Wild ARMs 5) - Huh Blocker was that good.  Anyways Elvis misses the 2HKO but that and his speed makes it not matter.
Reicher Wallace (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) vs Amalia (Unicorn Overlord) - Kneejerk
Rubicante (Final Fanasy IV) vs Rean Schwarzer (Trails of Cold Steel II) - Like I said before I'm pretty sure Rubicante is actually RS 2 and that's faster than Rean.  Even if not, the only way Rubicante would be frail enough to fall to Valimar is if you doublecredit his ice weakness and I don't need to tell you how I feel about that.

Heavy

Maya Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3) vs Throné (Octopath Traveler II) - Don't think Maya can put Throne away before she gets a third turn and gets a fatal Aeber's Reckoning off.
Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Corrin (Fire Emblem Fates) - I use the +6 averages (wtf people still using penultimates) so Corrin is so very close to dead after the first Sacrifice that I don't think anything she does matters at all.  Maybe if the Levin Sword counter doubled but Clarissa's fast (by plot PC standards anyways) so even +Spd Corrin would probably miss that, let alone the hypothetical no boon/bane Corrin that's impossible to create.

Middle

Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII) vs Estelle Bright (Trails in the Sky FC) - Well S-Break beats out "turn gauge fills very quickly" to me so unless I'm badly misremembering what FC arts that weren't Aerial or White Gehenna were like Estelle should have the level of damage control needed to pull this off.
Warlock (Suikoden IV) vs Mu'ah (Brigandine: Legend of Runeseria) - even if the turn 1 threshhold were 66% instead of 67%, Brig magic status is still subject to magic stats so uh lol.  Warlock ain't failing to OHKO and even if he did, Vengeful Child seems like it'd create all sorts of problems.
Red Mage (Final Fantasy V) vs Hodrick (Unicorn Overlord) - Dear lord.

Light

Rahal (Suikoden V) vs Sancho (Front Mission 4) - You know what, I deserve this match.
Cecil Harvey (Final Fantasy IV) vs Kanone Amalthea (Trails in the Sky FC) - respect for Captain Kanone Amalthea of the Intellegence Division (laugh track) not found
Cray (Breath of Fire IV) vs Elemancer Warlock (Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth) - Yep, Elemelon should be faster even with the speed penalty on their best damage and 2HKOs Cray without much fuss.

Godlike
Rubicante (Final Fanasy IV) vs Rean Schwarzer (Trails of Cold Steel II) - I'm voting on 4a here, so discount this if need be. Rubi's speed is listed as 32 to a 31 average, so he's only slightly faster than Average, whereas Rean is comfortably above (117%). So the question is: Does Valimar do enough damage before his 3 turns is up? 66K is about 1.32x the 50K KP and I do think that's just enough (if you tell me to estimate Rubi's durability, I'd peg about 1.3x). Meeple does note Rubi has significantly more durability than the other bosses up to that point, but yeah, I think this is right.

Heavy
Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Corrin (Fire Emblem Fates) - EDIT: Levin Sword mitigates the effectiveness of Rob Turn somewhat and lets Corrin do some damage on Clarissa's Turn, even though it costs her 20 Avoid. Corrin wants to specifically equip Levin Sword here to make a 2nd Sacrifice extremely unattractive, forcing Clarissa to use the less accurate Howling Shot to finish. Clarissa goes first, Rob Turn, uses Sacrifice and deals about 80% of Corrin's HP. Corrin counters with Levin Sword for roughly 30% on Clarissa and applies Dragon HEX, which cuts damage by roughly 20% as well as Clarissa's HIT. With her HP being only at around 20% and losing a further 20% on Sacrifice, Clarissa's forced to use Howling Shot which does about 22% factoring in Dragon Hex. On the surface, this is just enough for Corrin's 102% HP...except it doesn't factor in Howling Shot being subject to defense and it being slightly inaccurate on base.

Once those come up, Clarissa's Howling Shot needs to make a hit at roughly 72% and even then, Corrin's above average defense is probably enough to stop it from being lethal. If she misses or the defense is enough to stop it from doing mortal damage, Corrin will survive a sliver of HP and that's basically enough. Clarissa only has 82% HP and subpar defenses, so a follow up Omega Yato swing kills. Do I give Clarissa both calls here? Maybe on the hit, but I suspect the damage reduction on Howling Shot is more pronounced than 20% because in-game, Dragon HEX is more devastating against lower numbers versus higher ones (cutting a 4 damage attack by 4 means you take infinite hits as an extreme example) and Howling Shot fits that camp. So probably not on the latter. But wow, a real close match.

Lyndis (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade) vs Zatanna (Justice League Heroes) - Did you know that FE7 Silver Bows had the same might as Silver Swords? I didn't. And that kind of ruins Lyn's chances here. She goes first, doubles (cause Zatanna is assumed to be average) and deals like 94-95% of Zatanna's HP, then gets hit with Polymorph and dies. I considered Sol Katti for a moment but that's such a big AS hit that I think Lyn stops doubling. But what about evade? Polymorph is both GT and a pure status move, so if anything it'd check MDef and it has a perfect hit rate outside of immunity to boot.

Light
Rahal (Suikoden V) vs Sancho (Front Mission 4) - Jesus Christ. Sancho has enough healing to outlast this. Super, is that you???

Rubicante (Final Fanasy IV) vs Rean Schwarzer (Trails of Cold Steel II)
Oh boy, FF4 speed plot.  No idea how seriously to take it here since whoever goes first wins.
EDIT: I'm pretty skeptical of Valimar hype but it doesn't really matter since Rean usually wins without it.  Anyway I don't know FF4o speed that well but I'm told RS2 is pretty dang fast, so Rubicant it is I guess.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Corrin (Fire Emblem Fates)
Clarissa can win this if you see the damage average as so low that a Howling Shot finishes things off OR if you take Sacrifice's 4 range literally, but given that XF Elementalists have 5 range, not inclined to let Sacrifice outrange Levin Sword counters when range 3+ is extremely rare in Fates.

Middle

Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII) vs Estelle Bright (Trails in the Sky FC)
Mm, Estelle is kinda rude in Middle IIRC.
Warlock (Suikoden IV) vs Mu'ah (Brigandine: Legend of Runeseria)
Warlock also.
Red Mage (Final Fantasy V) vs Hodrick (Unicorn Overlord)
Congratulations Red Mage, this is the best slugging you will ever see in Middle.  RM would beat super-Hodrick with double HP & damage without even needing to heal I imagine.

Light

Cecil Harvey (Final Fantasy IV) vs Kanone Amalthea (Trails in the Sky FC)
Cecil is good in Light, and Amalthea is...  not.

Wow, two matches I can vote on.

Warlock (Suikoden IV) vs Mu'ah (Brigandine: Legend of Runersia) - So, Warlock obviously OHKOs with Earthquake, Mu'ah mdur be ow. HOWEVER! Mu'ah opens with Magic Down and is faster than him, and that opens him to winning the match with Solid the next turn, along with actually letting him survive an Earthquake. But... Vengeful Child. Warlock answers with Vengeful Child to avoid getting petrified until Magic Down runs out (it lasts three turns). Mu'ah has the following options after a Vengeful Child: spend it with Venom until a double (after the first turn, Mu'ah 4-3s Warlock when he's casting Vengeful Child), trying to clock Warlock of the 60%~ evade and Flowing Rune with his 84% accuracy, 6HKO to average physical. The turnsplit means... Mu'ah is very unlikely to get a turn with Magic Down up AND Vengeful Child down before running out of MP. He can't afford to fish for petrification without Magic Down up, because Warlock WILL one-shot him without the debuff. So, uh, yeah. Surprisingly complicated match, but rather clean-cut at the end.
L'Arachel (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones) vs Alexei (Eternal Poison) - Good lord, Alexei OHKOs with ITE and L'Arachel OHKOs nothing with her 4HKO Shines.

Godlike

Avlora (Triangle Strategy) vs Elvis (Wild ARMs 5): Avlora just doesn't seem that impressive to me? Really depends on where you set the boss form's HP I suppose and that's a headache. But... Elvis probably better.
Reicher Wallace (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) vs Amalia (Unicorn Overlord): This is probably closer than it has any right to be because Amalia is so good against physicals, but the turn split is just SO massive and break is gonna land and that likely disables guard skills so that's probably enough.
Myria (Breath of Fire III) vs Dinah (Unicorn Overlord): Some status or other.

Heavy

Maya Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3) vs Throné (Octopath Traveler II): Debuff attack, debuff defence, OHKO the limit boss.
Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Corrin (Fire Emblem Fates): She has the damage for this to me pretty easily, Sacrifice is borderline OHKO. And like... the arguments that it isn't tend to be rather blatantly unfair to Clarissa by saddling her with a much worse weapon than everyone else gets. If you're actually grinding everyone else up to +8 weapons or whatever you can grind Clarissa to Elementalist Level 3 and she'll have an even bigger damage adavantage than any version of the stat topic gives her, because yes Sacrifice is that good.
Tidus (Final Fantasy X) vs Myuria Tionysus (Star Ocean: The Last Hope): This entirely comes down to if Iceproof stops freeze. Tidus blitzing is good enough to 4HKO but Myuria is fast enough to get a turn before Tidus's fourth QH, so will get off Ice Needles->Deep Freeze. But Tidus can block ice. And I don't know if that would block an attached status... in either game, actually.

Middle

Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII) vs Estelle Bright (Trails in the Sky FC): I'm not sure exactly how I take starting SP but I don't think it matters here, "can burst damage at will" is gonna beat "limit fighter".
Warlock (Suikoden IV) vs Mu'ah (Brigandine: Legend of Runeseria): See Jo'ou.
Red Mage (Final Fantasy V) vs Hodrick (Unicorn Overlord): Hodrick is basically just a physical spoiler.

Light

Cecil Harvey (Final Fantasy IV) vs Kanone Amalthea (Trails in the Sky FC): Not much to say here.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.
