Grandia 3’s planophile protagonist may not be as ‘cool’ as Vincent Valentine of FF7 fame, according to the fangirls and boys of the universe, but the blue-haired, spunky youth is more than up to the task of beating him down in a straight up fight and possibly stealing some of his fans in the meantime. After slaying foes as emo and awe-inspiring as Emelious and Xorn, the trench coat sporting Vincent won’t even register as a warm-up exercise this week. You can’t hurt what you can’t hit, and the perfect evade granted by Yuki’ Flash will keep Vincent from doing anything but hitting air, even if he could transform into one of his ineffective monster forms to smack him. Dragon Slash will ensure that even those forms don’t see the light of day. With all that going for him, Yuki’s first match won’t be hard, but at least he’ll get to put on a good show for Alfina as he trounces the prettyboy in no time.
