Testing grounds: Because I want to rip off Dhyer.

It's sort of like the proving grounds format, with a few differences. It's just a one shot (For each character) versus a single DL season. I randomly rolled one, and it came across season 17. It also pits them against foes from their current division. I g ot suggestions for what fighters to use from chat.

Guy (Lufia) vs Izlude Tingel - Equipment breaking+massive speed difference. There goes Guy's limit game.
Guy vs Dart - More massive speed difference+serious damage edge. Guy also triggers counters, which sucks ass for him.
Guy vs Nino - Hm. Guy 2HKOs Nino, but Nino could two-turn, she doubles with Thunder and counters, and there's the pesky evade... hmmmm. Kneejerk is to say she kills, since Guy gains nothing by going for a waiting game here.
Guy vs Opera Vectra - lol opera.
Guy vs Rutee - Rutee stacks Sharpness castings until the end of time and kills. Guy isn't good at putting pressure against buffers with his middling damage.
Guy vs Lucia - lol lucia.
Guy vs Paula - lol paula.
Guy vs Lich - Huh, Guy immunes Hold? Go figure, this should tilt the match the other way.
Guy vs Shin - It's his type of fight.
Guy vs Sara (BoF1) - Voted that way before, will vote that way again.
Guy vs Yuffie - Wins the limit game, really.
Guy vs FuSoYa - ...
Guy vs Tio - Tio... um... kinda sucks.
Guy vs Noa - Tough Love.


Jude vs Izlude Tingel - Uh. Dunno.
Jude vs Dart - Jude has ranged, is faster and can avoid counters! ... is that enough?
Jude vs Nino - Jude 2HKOs and avoids counters, and I think that's that. At worst, some accuracy tweaking could let him circumvent Nino evade on average?
Jude vs Opera Vectra - lol opera.
Jude vs Rutee - I think physical+AB works its magic here.
Jude vs Lucia - lol lucia.
Jude vs Paula - lol paula.
Jude vs Lich - Hold!
Jude vs Shin - Hmmm. I -think- Jude avoids the 2HKO here and 3HKOs himself, and speed.
Jude vs Sara (BoF1) - Ahahahahahahaha HP difference.
Jude vs Yuffie - Physical x2, AB, toodles.
Jude vs FuSoYa - I'm not sure Jude -needs- to physical and AB here.
Jude vs Tio - Faster, more damaging, even if not by much in practice here.
Jude vs. Noa - Um, this really depends on whether I see LoL Charm as confuse. I think I don't today, however.

Argilla vs Izlude Tingel- MP break or just plain heal locking.
Argilla vs Dart- Whoever goes first wins,  leaning Argilla for that today.
Argilla vs Nino- Magic tank.
Argilla vs Opera Vectra- Garbage status of some type or other does in Opera.
Argilla vs Rutee- Think Rutee runs out of MP here.
Argilla vs Lucia
Argilla vs Lich- Nulls status according to the topic.
Argilla vs Fina
Argilla vs Shin- Can put too much pressure on with spiderslay waiting.
Argilla vs Sara (BoF1)
Argilla vs Yuffie- Don't think Argilla can break a heal lock.
Argilla vs FuSoYa- Weird. SHould be able to run Fu out of resources.... wait. Weak? Um. Wow. That may do it in fact. Weak-->Poke.. yeah, it does.
Argilla vs Tio- See Guy/Tio.
Argilla vs Anastasia Romanov- I think.
Argilla vs Noa- Noa's mostly wind damage.

Guy (Lufia) vs Izlude Tingel- Equip breaks wreck Guy so badly. As soon as his Zirco axe is smashed he's done.
Guy vs Dart- Gets doubled. That is that.
Guy vs Nino- Don't think Nino can put any kind of serious pressure on him even with doubles to boost her offense. Tough Hide for healing, smash with the Flying Axe as soon as he gets enough IP.
Guy vs Opera Vectra- Opera sucks.
Guy vs Rutee- See Snow.
Guy vs Lucia
Guy vs Lich- EDIT: Guy has to keep the Old Armor equipped to stop Hold, that means no healing. Worse is the fact that he's attacking Lich with plain physicals- he can't get access to any kind of notable fire or holy elemental weapon. Lich should be able to chip past any of his dangerous limits and tank a Deadly Smash at the very, very worst.
Guy vs Fina- Fina gets two cracks with status. That's enough.
Guy vs Shin- Chip, spiderslay.
Guy vs Sara (BoF1)- My kneejerk's that Sara can't effectively blast past the healing range thanks to Guy's HP and doesn't heal lock.
Guy vs Yuffie- Yuffie can't really chip. Conformer doesn't OHKO Guy, so.. re-energize till Deadly Smash comes up. Unless I'm forgetting something Yuffie isn't especially speedy, right?
Guy vs FuSoYa- Stop. Or Death. Whatever. He's not OHKOing.
Guy vs Tio- I don't think Tio had very much in terms of DL usefulness going for her. Was Whisper to the stars any good?
Guy vs Anastasia Romanov- Nightmare should hit *Something* in two shots that gets through his limited status blocking.
Guy vs Noa- Charm.



Guy: 6-9. Not bad.

Jude vs Izlude Tingel- Don't think I see Jude's arm as breakable and he's not getting countered either.
Jude vs Dart- He can take two Dart physicals.
Jude vs Nino
Jude vs Opera Vectra
Jude vs Rutee
Jude vs Lucia
Jude vs Lich- Hold.
Jude vs Fina- Stone against Jude MDef. Yeah.
Jude vs Shin
Jude vs Sara (BoF1)- Sara's best is physical. Think Jude has enough time with all the doubles he'll get.
Jude vs Yuffie- Chip/smash.
Jude vs FuSoYa- Instant double, AB.
Jude vs Tio
Jude vs Anastasia Romanov- Status.
Jude vs Noa- Status.

11-4. Damn good.

Jude vs Izlude Tingel - I'm thinking armor break = ow. Izlude also has a touch of evade and Jump means that Jude needs to get a double immediately or he'll lose his Rapid attack boost. Decent match, but leaning Izlude.
Jude vs Dart - Okay, this one requires more thought than it looks. Someone crunch it out >_>!
Jude vs Nino - Gut shot. Thinking he offs her before she does thanks to avoiding counters and Nino's lower defense and HP, making Assault Buster painful. Hit boosting should help get around evasion.
Jude vs Paula - Haha. Horrible slaughter. Despite Jude's asstasstic Mdef and Paula's decent speed, she's still frail enough that attack --> Assault Buster kills with no problems.
Jude vs Fina - Holy Ankh. Can Fina do anything else after that than flail around horribly >_>? And before anybody says Eternum, she's not living that long to pull it off.
Jude vs Yuffie - Easy. Chips around a limit with his base physical, then Assault Buster. Yuffie can go L1 get healing off but not having enough firepower to break through Jude, or use a higher level limit and meets the former
Jude vs FuSoYa - ...it's like Paula vs. Jude except possibly worse due to lower speed!
Jude vs Tio - Mm...thinking Resist Wind + physical beatdown means Jude likely has an advantage. Neither's really impressive on damage here, but he's more in his element.

Jude: 6-1. What the hell? He's better thanks to knowing more about Rapid attack and Assault Buster, but no way is he THIS good.
