Mote VS Guildenstern is actually a pretty amazing fight.  If you consider Guildensterns hitting multiple body parts with spells and Bloody Sin  as well multiple hits that each one tips Mote further in either direction then he can easilly spend the time juggling him around through both forms.  Neither of those things are big slouches on damage (Bloody Sin is .... pretty strong 2HKO at 0 RISK with a 2 hander equipped on a bad day, so milage will vary a bit there if you consider it against shields or an average or what.  It is still 2HKO with shield even I think... just not strong like 90% HP damage or something)  Spells aren't as good, but still not something you never have to dodge in game.

Edit - And to answer Super's question, yeah Bloody Sin is Physical (Slashing I believe) damage and he has a decent library of magic damage, Apocalypse being a Holy spell being the damage one that immediately springs to mind (cause it has killed me a bit since it has odd defense timing) but I think he at least has a Dark one, some status spells and maybe some other elemental ones just off hand.
