What's this? A grizzled, impossibly tough old man whose sheer skill has lead him to attempt being a warrior poet? This duelling league certainly has all the most interesting cliches. At any rate, Haschel is unlikely to fall for any of Jade's favorite strategies, like claiming to be an old man to take the opponent off-guard, so it seems he'll just have to actually beat him in a fair fight. While Haschel has blocked Jade's Lightning Artes, Jade has no shortage of other elements to apply, and is more than capable of holding his own in melee combat should the need arise. Indeed, going a few rounds physically and only using his Arte's to finish the battle may be the best strategy here, preventing Haschel's Destroyer Mace from boosting the old man's attacks. And if that doesn't work, there's always the old 'poison the opponent's breakfast' trick. But of course, Jade would never do something so underhanded, right?
