Now, Shadow Breath is far from 2HKOing, and another Calm Mind gets Kyogre to Rest leisurely in-between Calm Minds until he's maxed on the buffing. Then, monstrous CM x6'd Waterspouts drain PD's HP like a sponge, and even PD's third form can't take two of those, let alone the earlier forms.

Lilka goes first, doesn't ever get OHKOed (lol wa2 defense) and just wins in a battle of attrition. Assassin Dagger hype eats Quick buffing Lilka's evade, to boot.
Ayame (S3) vs Crono (CT) - Goes first, 2HKOs. Ayame's mdur sucks enough for this.

Terra Branford (FF6) vs Hrist Valkyrie (VP2): Stone blocker, OHKO (or drain works if you don't allow Ultima).

Heavy:

Riou (S2) vs Ershin (BoF4): ITD Magic of an element Ershin doesn't resist. That's pretty much the one way to kill her quickly.
Meliadoul Tingel (FFT) vs Lilka Eleniak (WA2): Yeah, Meliadoul can't OHKO ever.

Midboss (Disgaea) vs Chisato Madison (SO2): 2HKOs. Counters Chisato's good damage to boot.

Gadwin 2HKOs if you scale from when he leaves. Harle does cut magic by like 8%, but Gadwin does 800 over 2 hits to a kill point of around 700, and cutting magic 8% isn't helping there. Even worse...

Assuming no recharging, Harle can do 725 in 2 turns, and this really badly delays her third turn. This is probably only about half of Gadwin's HP, as the kill point is around 1000 and Gadwin has 1.65 PC HP.

Lunaretic is 2 of Sleep, Fatigue (Lackluster Slow Equivalent 1), Evasion Down, Attack Down, Delay (That kicks in on the next turn), Darkness, Frozen, and Flu (Lackluster Slow Equivalent 2), and Confuse. To start off, 70% of the statuses are worthless against a Mage (Which Gadwin is!). Gadwin can then immune sleep, leaving the only two worthwhile statuses as Frozen and Confuse.

And aren't Disgaea counters just applicable against regular attacks? Or was that just D2?

Oh right, it wasn't just anything melee. Will think over that one.

Gadwin's 2HKO relies on giving him spells I certainly didn't have at that point, so he's behind Justin and Feena. Losing out to Justin and Feena and beating only Sue is really bad to me, since Sue's suckiness doesn't stick around to endgame... so Gadwin basically has worse damage than the entire average I consider (Justin, Feena, Liete, Rapp).

Go lower temp respect, I guess.

Profound Darkness (PS4) vs Kyogre (PKMN) - PD.  Something like 101x durability combined?  Kyogre can't eat through that even with maxed Calm Mind fast enough, I think, especially since PD buffers for the first two forms (exactly how it works in-game).  So...Kyogre has 10 shots as default of boosted damage, Rest puts her to sleep, and it takes time to set up the Calm Minds.  Granted, faster helps.  No EXAs, though.  Yeah, unless fully maxed Hydropump deals like 20x, I think he's screwed, especially since Waterspout loses effectiveness as he drops in HP.

It doesn't take that many uses of Quick to get perfect evade. Combine that with it granting basically infinite TB speed (whatever that means to you), and her being faster to start with and the odds of landing Doom going down with each attack, and she's likely to get perfect evade before doom lands.

Reis Dular (FFT) vs Arietta (TotA) - I generally prefer to hold Reis to her human form, which has 64 Faith and also has sucky damage.  If we let Reis use her Dragon form...  well, then it come down to Big Bang.  If Big Bang is just non-fatal damage, then, well, Arietta was still consistently knocking my characters to HP-1, so it's good damage.  Plus Arietta will have softened Reis up with some spells first.  The bigger problem is that Reis's damage is better, so she might be able to chip through and then blast past Arietta's Big Bang range.  I think she only uses this below 50% health or something?  I actually have Arietta HP respect (even given an ad-hoc Hard->Normal HP penalty), so Arietta probably still barely wins, but it's definitely a lot closer then and depends on if Big Bang has enough overkill to overcome that tiny Faith.
