Wrong, outside of his limits, and we all know the issue there. Low magical 2HKO at best when he's not hitting one of his MAs is hardly what I'd call ridiculous.

His physical chains from 75% HP and below are low OHKO. Not a factor if you respect Lulu's evade a lot, but if you don't...

Actually, the only one that is close to OHKO is Physical -> Guardian Frost, which is ice-elemental (or water if you prefer, it doesn't matter here), an element which Lulu absorbs.

Aside from that, he's stuck with combos that do less than 75% to average, and as you note, even those are a limit.

Van wins this fight with Negative Gate or not at all.

Super and I were discussing the Maria/Sabin duel and about what Sabin's SA resistance would be - what Maria's infliction rate would be weight against i.e his magic defence or magic evade, etc. We decided it was pretty much magic evade that controls status infliction in FF6 (feel free to punish if we're wrong Meeple! ;)) so to me Energy Burst would be going up against Sabin's stat value of 14 ;p

Lulu (FFX) vs Van Grants (TotA) - Van.  Too durable, don't see Lulu stopping enough MA hits to win this.

Heavy:
Hugo (S3) vs Mario (SMRPG) - Mario.  Super-fast stat-god with Attack Scarf, or halves damage with Ghost Medal.  Ultra-Jump I see as unevadable...and nukes Hugo's lowish defenses.
Lang (LoL2) vs Mia (FE9) - Lang.  Damn close, and ;_; to Mia losing first round
Kornell (G3) vs Dehuai (SH1) - Kornell.  Multiple parts, high damage...yeah.
Maria Traydor (SO3) vs Sabin Rene Figaro (FF6) - Maria.  Paralysis fun...or confusion! 

Middle:
Nina (BoF5) vs Pip (CC) - Nina...yeah.  Pip is...bleh.  Nina locks with traps, I guess.  Puts them in front of her, then when Pip tries to attack, might run over them.
Koromaru (Pers3) vs Guy (Lufia 2) - So...I didn't think this would ever happen...but now I have to think about it!  So...not sure if I view Koro's Light weakness as an actual weakness to the light element...since light in P3 is only instant death...granted, he's also immune to instant death of the dark element!  So arguably...I could see him as neutral to the elements, but weak to light-based ID?  Hard to interpret, but it does feel odd viewing him as weak to a damage he's not weak to in-game.  Not that it matters...the ID is accurate enough.  He has enough evade too to swing this...and the damage isn't...really that great.  Koro has good HP.
Orlha (CC) vs Eliwood (FE7) - Orlha.  Elitard sucks.
Colm (FE8) vs 3-Charizard (PKMN) - Colm...I think.  Helps PKMN stuff is evadable.

Light:
Camus (S2) vs Lino en Kuldes (S4) - Camus.
Razzly (CC) vs Miki (CC) - Uh...Miki.
Dorcas (FE7) vs Louise (FE7) - Uh...Louise.  Her Chinahack form is decent enough.
Big Joe (XG) vs Hawkeye (FE7) - Big Joe.  Not a Light.

I don't see how allowing both of Kornell's parts will save him against Dehuai. They combine to have about twice the damage of Dehuai (main body is stronger than Dehuai, fist is weaker). Dehuai has about triple the HP of Kornell's main body, and gets the first hit in due to initiative. So he's killing the main body before dying, and that's all he needs to do. Fist isn't an important target.

After WOW! (50% boost to physical, which Kornell Buster is), Kornell's damage (w/ both parts) is much better than Dehuai's - Dehuai's still doing .36 PCHP every turn, while Kornell is doing ~ 1.1 PCHP.  And Dehuai's initiative is just turn-shifting - it's not a free extra turn at the beginning (the stat topic notes that it's not uncommon to immediately lap Dehuai after his initiative turn).

Also I think Dehuai's best strategy involves his magic which is MT anyway, so he's collecting the Fist on the round before he kills Kornell (if he survives that long).

Dehaui's initiative is an extra turn, but his next one lags a little. Now, Kornell is a bit slow himself, so I don't expect the turn order will ever really be changing. WoWed Kornell and fist probably need 5 turns to off Dehaui to me, but Dehaui is definetely offing Kornell in 5 turns (Unless you give him full support credit for Violetta, but G3 has solid MT attacks, which negates support credit a fair amount).
