Dragon Orb (Valkyrie Profile) vs. Calamity Jane (Wild Arms 3): Dragon Orb is cool, but fundamentally Just Another Great Magic. Calamity Jane is not only cool, it has some really shocking damage attached.
Dark Matter (Chrono Trigger) vs. Grand Cross (Final Fantasy Tactics): In a pinch, Magus > Altima.
Ness Ness Ness Ness / "You cannot comprehend the form of Giygas's Attack!" (Earthbound) vs. Demon Horde Slash (Grandia 2): Oh! I know what this attack is now! Despite not even playing EB. And you know what? Demon Horde Slash is a bad joke, so.
Spicule (Star Ocean 2) vs. Grand Stone (Chrono Trigger): Both have style (VA vs. GIANT ROCK TO THE FACE) so going with the gameplay worth. Not that Spicule's bad at that, but yeah.
Shark Missile (Mega Man X: Command Mission) vs. Tank Drop (Wild Arms 4): Tanks are cool, but sharks are even cooler.

Delta Attack (Chrono Trigger) vs. Tatsumaki Zankantou (Super Robot Wars: Original Generation): What the heck attack is this? OG2 I assume?

Spicule just gets grating after a while. Grand Stone has the "oh shit" factor and is reasonably stylish on its own.
Shark Missile (Mega Man X: Command Mission) vs. Tank Drop (Wild Arms 4)
You're gonna need a bigger tank.

Team Division
Delta Attack (Chrono Trigger) vs. Tatsumaki Zankantou (Super Robot Wars: Original Generation)
Delta Attack was nothing special. Tornado Blade has some style points, humor value and is ultimate death in OGs.

Silver Eclipse(Skies of Arcadia) vs. “Command?” (Persona 4) - Uhh... classic vs. untested!
Dark Holy (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs. Quad Converge (Persona 4) - Admittedly, I'm biased towards Dark Holy.
Dark Matter (Chrono Trigger) vs. Grand Cross (Final Fantasy Tactics) - Ditto -Holy +Matter
Ness Ness Ness Ness / "You cannot comprehend the form of Giygas's Attack!" (Earthbound) vs. Demon Horde Slash (Grandia 2) - I like the quote?!
Spicule (Star Ocean 2) vs. Grand Stone (Chrono Trigger) - In general, CT animations are really good for 2D stuff. And I like 2D stuff.
Shark Missile (Mega Man X: Command Mission) vs. Tank Drop (Wild Arms 4) - Oh god, it's close. Hard to argue with a Missile that's also a Shark.

Team Division
Rampage Ghost (Super Robot Wars: Original Generation) vs. All-Out Attack! (Persona 4) - Easy.
Climbing Garden (Wild Arms 5) vs. Nine Heroes(Soul Nomad) - Harder, but still the stylish 2D animation I've ever seen.
Delta Attack (Chrono Trigger) vs. Tatsumaki Zankantou (Super Robot Wars: Original Generation) - In general, CT animation is good!
Genocide Circus (Wild Arms 5) vs. Shiki Fusion, Level 3 (Mr Mewzilla) - Oh wow, WA5 has some of my favorite team attacks of all time, but Mewzilla's cuteness/humor value is really hard to beat. I might have voted the Dean/Rebecca combo over Mewzilla... but Genocide circus isn't quite there. Good match, though.
