Test that champion! Godlike 1.

Dhyer's topic and list and the other tournaments that measure how good a fighter are in depth, a lot of fun to read, without a doubt paint an excellent picture about how good someone is.

They're also painful to vote on thanks to the amount of time required. My idea for this topic's much simpler- Take a random field from a random season, and take  four characters who are currently ranked in the division and see how they fare. It gives you a good cross section without tons of voting. I'm also tossing in the actual champ, to see how board opinion meshes with who won that season. Worth a try!

For Godlike, I rolled:

Season 2 Godlike -Celes Chere, Albedo,

Champion- Menardi. Defeated Maxim, Myria, Berle, Songi

This was random, I swear.

Celes (FF6) vs Maxim- Vanish/Berserk, the end.
Celes vs Myria- Myria 3 handles things.
Celes vs Berle- Vanish.
Celes vs Songi- Uh.. mmm. I think Chaos Flare breaking protect is enough? This fails beyond words as a Godlike final.

Celes: 2-2. Weird field for her, played to her strengths.

Albedo vs Maxim- Albedo versus limit fighter=Albedo ain't winning. Unless XS1 has way, way more frontended damage than I'm remembering, he can't do enough before Maxim builds up to a decent IP and smites.
Albedo vs Myria- I have no words.
Albedo vs Berle- Albedo versus boss.
Albedo vs Songi- BUT BUT FALLEN WINGS

Albedo: 0-4. Pathetic. 

Menardi vs Maxim- I wish I had something more interesting to say than 'blocks ID, kicks her ass without magic', but I don't!
Menardi vs Myria Dario beating Yuna would be less of a rob.
Menardi vs Berle- Want to say Berle resisted fire to make this extra insulting.
Menardi vs Songi

Menardi: 0-4. Was in Middle for a reason.

Thoughts: Menardi fought three scrubs and Myria. S2 Godlike was really weak outside of Myria in genreal.

Celes vs Songi - Songi.

Albedo vs Maxim - Albedo.  Either form, really.
Albedo vs Tyr - Tyr. 
Albedo vs Berle - Berle.
Albedo vs Songi - Mmm...Songi still wins, I think. 

Menardi vs Maxim - Maxim.
Menardi vs Tyr - Tyr
Menardi vs Berle - Berle
Menardi vs Songi - Songi

This works. Though, honestly, next time.... just disclude pre-season 9.... or whatever season you kicked out AtL3, we don't want -THAT- cropping up after all.

My Menardi respect is slightly higher than super's, but I still don't think she stands a chance against anyone but Maxim, and my Maxim respect is also pretty high.

Albedo vs Maxim: Where is this Maxim > Albedo hype coming from? Albedo has 2HKO damage by definition (mHP/2) at full HP. One double and Maxim's dead, whatever spells you give him.

Yes. About the only worthwhile thing he did.

It's the MP-buster we discovered was a limit. (Well, and Fallen Angel, and Haste but we already knew about those.)
