Test that Champion! Light 1

Dhyer's topic and list and the other tournaments that measure how good a fighter are in depth, a lot of fun to read, without a doubt paint an excellent picture about how good someone is.

They're also painful to vote on thanks to the amount of time required. My idea for this topic's much simpler- Take a random field from a random season, and take  four characters who are currently ranked in the division and see how they fare. It gives you a good cross section without tons of voting. I'm also tossing in the actual champ, to see how board opinion meshes with who won that season. Worth a try!

For Light, I rolled:

Season 16 Light -Lyonesse, Tellah

Champion- Sara (BoF). Defeated Amy Sage, Higins, White Wizard, Lucius.

Lyonesse vs White Wizard (FF1)
Lyonesse vs Lucius

Tellah vs Amy
Tellah vs Higins

Lyonesse vs Amy- Charm, I think? Amy's damage doesn't scare Lyonesse, which is a bad sign.
Lyonesse vs Higins- Think so.
Lyonesse vs White Wizard (FF1)-- Runs Lyonesse out of MP in a hurry. Status gets Walled.
Lyonesse vs Lucius- MDef.

Tellah vs Amy- Amy damage.
Tellah vs Higins- Can take one Higins physical, smashes.
Tellah vs WW- Wall+resources.
Tellah vs Lucius- Doubles, smashes.

Sara vs Amy
Sara vs Higins
Sara vs WW- DoS resources are more than enough.
Sara vs Lucius- Sara Mdef plus counters. Remember this being close.

Sara: 2-2.
Lyonesse: 2-2. Definitely the worst of the group, she has resource problems.
Tellah: 2-2. That HP is a problem, along with literally no speed to speak of.

Lyonesse vs Amy - ...bleh.  Brig status...Charm was...ok?  I don't know...still think Amy pulls this through.  Much better resources.
Lyonesse vs Higins - Lyonesse.  Well, yes.  This is a fight where her resources aren't a problem >_>
Lyonesse vs White Wizard (FF1) - White Wizard.  Likes the DoS form.
Lyonesse vs Lucius - Lucius.  Mocks her puny magic.

Lyonesse - 1/4 - Yeah, nothing too special.

Tellah vs Amy - ...Tellah.  Fucker.
Tellah vs Higins - Tellah.
Tellah vs WW - M%O!J@%O(
Tellah vs Lucius - GODDAMNIT.

Tellah - 4/0 - Goddamnit.

Sara vs Amy - Amy.  As always, Sara...well, I guess I do allow the MF6 form, since I do for others...gah, that's an easy win.  FUCK.  Amy beats the other form without a problem, though!
Sara vs Higins - Sara.  
Sara vs WW - White Wizard.  Hah!  FUCK YOU SARA.
Sara vs Lucius - Lucius.  Sarah's need an h to be awesome.

Sara - 2/4 - TOO MUCH

Lyonesse beats Higins but loses to the other two with their element/status/magic spoiling.

Tellah vs Higins
Tellah vs WW
Tellah vs Lucius

Tellah does exactly what Lyonesse did.

Sara vs Higins
Sara vs WW
Sara vs Lucius

Sara trashes NES Wizard, and I seem to recall showing she beat DoS too, though it was close! Lucius on the other hand was not close. Sara 2HKOs Lucius and certainly isn't 3HKOed back. Lucius is about average damage. Granted, that becomes 60% with Sara's MDef... but Sara is NOT under 2PCHP. That's just inane.

Sara 3-0
