Argh, I wanted to get this topic off on the same day as the XSIII topic. (curse you Rob!)  Anyways, levels are taken at level 75.  Like Disgaea, every human character can equip any weapon, but they have different mastery levels.  For the sake of easiness, I'm taking either their default weapon types or what weapon they are best in.  Also keep in mind that there's some randomness to stat growth so stats are not totally accurate, that is until a certain somebody can give me stat growth formulae to figure out exact stats.  First, there are the bare stats without equipment.  After stats are the equipment aptitudes, which unlike Disgaea 1, story PCs have different aptitudes than 100%.  Then comes the actual stat when equipment is used.  Weapon mastery for human characters are taken at 20 and weapon armor ranks at level 20 also. Adell has an innate ability that lets him do 25% more damage on higher level enemies.  It doesn't matter if it's 1 level or 1000 levels, it's still a 25% boost.  How you take this is up to you.  NESS SLAYER ANYONE?

Adell dodges side attacks around 24% of the time, and auto counters any close range physical with 290 damage.

BOSSES!!!!!

I'm considering all my characters in these averages for HP and SP.  I keep all my characters levelled decently (mages, fighters, etc.), and I tend to use them all, so I feel this is a fair representation.  Due to the classes being fairly balanced, there's no reason, in my opinion, to discount any (or: see MF's ShF1 boss notes).

Levels are always an issue - my personal view is to keep my characters on the same level as the enemy, but I didn't do that here.  Characters tended to be a bit lower than the bosses, on average (Axel is 28, my characters were around 24; Fubuki is 45, my characters were around 32, etc.).  The final boss is 90, though I'm not sure what level I'll take him against yet (same as Eph uses for the stat topic, 75, should be a decent gauge, but I know personal experience with Disgaea varies a lot, so I'll look into this later).

Damages are taken against side hits.  Much as a I hate to say it, see FFT for how this works.  Side attacks have 40% base accuracy regardless of character accuracy or enemy evasion, while back attacks have 80% base accuracy regardless of character accuracy or enemy evasion.  Damage also seems to be raised by ~25-33% for side attacks, and by ~50%-67% for back attacks (will verify later).

I take storeboughts as canon equipment.  I assume the best weapon and armour available from the shop level I view as appropriate for that time (this might vary...I see Wizard's Robes around chapter 10, and probably Dandy Gowns around endgame (chapter 13), though this may vary). 

Average HIT is an attempt to gauge enemy evasion, which tends to be a factor in some battles.  Damage is taken against 100% growth characters with the best armour available, which is probably a bit subjective, as mentioned above (Dandy Gowns are 650000 each, but you do acquire more money on average than in Disgaea, so this is probably ok - we'll have to see).

Comments: Almost half-decent durability (can be killed in about two to three turns), very good evasion, high speed should you take the game's speed stat literally, and near-OHKO damage. Heavy I'd say. A note on his Triple Strike, he doesn't start the battle with it. His fist mastery starts at zero, but within his second or third attack it usually gets high enough for him to use Triple Strike. Not that he needs it, but I'd allow it.

High Light, and possibly one that upgrades to a losing low heavy if you give him his speed.

OK, so I actually got Flonne and Laharl in the 350s, but I also cheesed quite a bit. Flonne comes at 500 so I figured that'd be a good average level to use. You get Laharl right after Flonne. Even though he's in level 1000 it'd be ridiculous to level that high to get him when his fight is barely harder than Flonne's sooo yeah, Laharl = uber level.

As for gear, I went with 1 storebought Goddess Dress and Majin Armor (both no added relevant stats) and one Bravery Belt with some gladiators because it'd be ridiculous to not buy one like that at this point in the game. The gear could be even better since this is only Rank 38 stuff, but as of now only 2/3 of my guys have Rank 39 stuff, so it didn't seem fair to use those items.
Laharl and Flonne are just keeping what they come with, not sure if the stat boosters are different every time, but it won't change things that much.
Flonne comes with piss ass gear. (Prinny Stick, Goddess Dress, Holy Orb, Angel's Sandals) This is what they start her with in level 500 though so, oh well? (If anyone really wants this changed just ask.)
Laharl comes with better gear. (Sunrise Sword, Majin Armor, Testament, and Orion's Belt) He also comes extremely level inflated, which is really nice for him.

Sooo...
Flonne is still a fairly sad light. Gamebest resist does not make up for gameworst damage, defense, and HP.
Laharl on the other hand loves this PC form. Once again thanks to level inflation he's got just over 2xHP, 2x damage with some elemental options, 1.7x defense, and just over average resist. High 2HKO with some tankiness probably makes him a high heavy who upgrades or a godlike who doesn't win many matches.
