Fire Emblem 7: The Blazing Sword

Favorite Song: Rise to the Challenge (Lundgren + takes over as boss theme in the second half)
Least Favorite Song: I'm sure something sucked, but I don't remember. Mostly it's a sea of mediocrity.

Favorite Stand Alone Song: Together We Ride. But that's due to Smash Bros...
Worst Stand Alone Song:

Favorite In Game use of a Song: Campaign of Fire's intro is pretty impressive despite not being special outside the game, so let's go with that.
Worst In Game use of a Song:

Most Memorable Song: Fire Emblem theme
Favorite Melody: I dunno

Quality of OST: GBA isn't good unless it involves ROBOTS

Other Thoughts: What Snow said, except I have a better memory.

Overall Rating: 4/10.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

Fire Emblem 7: The Blazing Sword

Favorite Song: Rise to the Challenge works.
Least Favorite Song: Eh... uh... nothing stands out.

Favorite Stand Alone Song: ...let's just say Fire Emblem Theme here.
Worst Stand Alone Song: Eh... uh... nothing stands out.

Favorite In Game use of a Song: Unshakable Faith is very appropriate at least.
Worst In Game use of a Song: Eh... uh... nothing stands out.

Most Memorable Song: Together We Ride. Partly SSB, partly when it plays.
Favorite Melody: Probably Fire Emblem Theme.

Quality of OST: Weak for a FE OST, and on the GBA. It's... not bad, given that, but mostly unremarkable.

Other Thoughts:

Overall Rating: 5/10

I was planning on updating this topic...finally...except I kind of forgot I didn't vote on FE7 myself, so here I go!

Favorite Song: Together We Ride, I guess.
Least Favorite Song: Not really a single song I actively dislike a lot, more just a see of mediocrity so...

Favorite Stand Alone Song: Together we ride.
Worst Stand Alone Song: See above.

Favorite In Game use of a Song: Softly With Grace.  Nice little thematic boss music for the Black Fangs that works well with the fights.
Worst In Game use of a Song: Victory Theme.  See CK's notes, essentially.

Most Memorable Song: Together We Ride or the Fire Emblem THeme; blame Melee primarily.
Favorite Melody: Eh, FE Theme I suppose.

Quality of OST: GBA limits how well the melodies can sound; Fire Emblem Theme for example sounded significantly better with SNES synthing in FE4 for example.  Though, some songs still sounded good despite this (Together We Ride and Softly With Grace, to reuse two <_<)

Other Thoughts: One of the most "meh" inducing OSTs around, it pretty much defines mediocrity beyond like 2 or 3 songs.

Overall Rating: 4/10.  See my "Other thoughts" aspect.
[21:39] <+Mega_Mettaur> so Snow...
[21:39] <+Mega_Mettaur> Sonic Chaos
[21:39] <+Hello-NewAgeHipsterDojimaDee> That's -brilliant-.

[17:02] <+Tengu_Man> Raven is a better comic relief PC than A

Wait, it has more than 2 or 3 songs?
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Well, there are songs I remember not really liking, and they do total up to at least 5, so...yes <_<?

Final Fantasy Tactics:

Favorite Song: Battle on the Bridge
Least Favorite Song: um.  The Pervert?

Favorite Stand Alone Song: Ovelia's Worries
Least Favorite Stand Alone Song: Terror 2

Favorite In Game Use of a Song: Trisection at Ft. Zeakden.
Least Favorite in Game use of a Song: Ultima - the Perfect Body.  Coulda been better for a final boss.

Most memorable song: Antipyretic
Favorite Melody: The motif from Hero's Theme, Prologue Movie, Battle on the Bridge, Antipyretic, And I Ran Away, etc.

Most Overrated Song: dunno.  I don't think there's a bad song in the game.
Most Underrated Song: Pub!

Quality of the OST: Best RPG Soundtrack ever.

Other Thoughts: Best RPG soundtrack ever, bar none.  Works absolutely perfectly with the game, has a few powerful themes that are used to great effect.  Sakamoto is a master of reusing good motifs.  Can't say enough good about it.

Overall Rating: 10/10

Final Fantasy Tactics:

Favorite Song: Under the Stars
Least Favorite Song: Ultima - The Perfect Body. How not to do a final boss track.

Favorite Stand Alone Song: Trisection
Least Favorite Stand Alone Song: Fur shop music.

Favorite In Game Use of a Song: Shock! ~ Failure really brings its scene to life. Ovelia learning she isn't a princess didn't need to have any emotional impact (we didn't know Ovelia well enough), but this music sells it.
Least Favorite in Game use of a Song: Requiem. Bad, piercing use of strings in a cutscene which is way longer than it needs to be and nonsensical to boot!

Most memorable song: THE PERVERT
Favorite Melody: Ramza's theme

Most Overrated Song: Requiem because there are people who do not recognise it for the trash it is
Most Underrated Song: Staff Credit. One of the best ending themes ever, had to slip hype for it in somewhere.

Quality of the OST: It's okay. Instruments hold up decently in most places.

Other Thoughts: Why couldn't the random battle music be better? Seriously.

Overall Rating: 5/10 works. I think more fondly of it because I love FFT but it's not very objectively great, loooads of tracks I think work well in-game that I can't listen to outside (such as most battle themes, frankly).

Final Fantasy Tactics:

Favorite Song: ...I seriously don't remember any music, although Bloody Excrement WINS for name.
Least Favorite Song: Ultima: Perfect Body.  Just...not inspiring for a final fight.

Favorite Stand Alone Song: ...uh...don't think any of them stand alone well
Least Favorite Stand Alone Song: ...uh...a lot of them in this soundtrack are like that, sadly for the soundtrack.

Favorite In Game Use of a Song: ...god I don't remember this enough to comment.
Least Favorite in Game use of a Song: I never got the appeal of Trisection much, so...yeah.

Most memorable song: Bloody Excrement, but that's the name mostly.
Favorite Melody: Apoplexy is the only other one I can pull out of my head.

Most Overrated Song: Trisection.
Most Underrated Song: ...uh...

Quality of the OST: Instruments are decent, but...it doesn't catch.  None of the songs really are memorable, for all that some work well enough in-game.  The sound is good, at least.

Other Thoughts: Still better than Legend of Dragoon.

Overall Rating: 3/10.

I vote P3 or P4 next.
