He retired on top more or less, went out loved by millions and on his own terms.

Happy Trails, Brett.

I have decided I have Rodgers' back. I am 100% behind our new starting QB.

As I look at the picture, he kinda resembles me.

Rodgers has been nothing but class the past two years about being stuck behind Favre and has made the best of it. The fans of Green Bay will remember this and should hopefully back him up to the hilt.

I'm also fully behind Aaron. Kick some ass, man.

From what I've gathered, the rest of the team (receiver corps in particular) are behind Rodgers as Favre's successor. Personally, I think that the biggest problem for Rodgers will not be having the fans on his side (who as you said, he's probably already got behind him) or the other members of his team (who are behind him, particularly after the Dallas game last season) but not trying to be Brett Favre to himself.

McCarthy will fix that in a hurry. He's not Favre and doesn't have to be. As long as he stays injury free and the defense doesn't magically revert to 2004 form, this is going to be a scary team for a long time to come.

We're 35 million under the cap now. Hopefully we'll extend Aaron after this season and he can put to doubt any fitness about his ability to follow one of the greatest players the NFL has seen.

Ah well, here's to the future.
