Kato- Naoto's not a boss fighter.
Purim- Needs less calls in her favor.

Peppita- Peppita can put way too much pressure up with her physicals.
Jude- Quina is bad.

Shabon- Tolone is also bad.
Gordon- Coinflip.

Everyone seems to have champed (even if they lost) before the match happened. Minor thing, but just thought I should point it out. ;p

Either sweeps outside of Ephraim. Gordon/Luke is close, but Gordon's great HP helps prevent a 3HKO from Luke (barely!).

No vote, but something I just thought of:

What if there's a tie in an individual match?

My vote in that scenario is:  Champs promote (their opponents demote), Runners-up stand pat (as do their opponents).

Jude can do something about Vanish? Anything?

Eph has an argument over Purim but I'm not too inclined to bite it, it basically requires quite a few tiebreaks/judgement calls going his way (he needs to go first, he needs to dodge Blaze Wall, and Blaze Wall needs to be dodgeable).

Other than those two, yeah, going with the lower division sweep.

The problem with Vanish is that it was really bad duration (Worse than most FF 9 buffs since Quina is like game worst in the stat that buff duration runs off!). It's about 1.5 turns, which feels like Jude can deal (Since...opening physical+AB+SL may get Quina to me, and my WA 4 kill point is about 26K).

Hmm, I remember it lasting longer than most buffs (Haste is the one that was about 1.5 turns). Though, even if you're right, it's at the very worst a good way to get rid of Rapid Attack's bonus, which should make AB a non-issue.

Hmm, 84% might actually go after Quina. However, doesn't destroy the generalized AB strategy since Quina should still be targettable and the speed boost should still kick in if Jude misses (And Quina...well, assuming Jude doesn't ad any accuracy to her status, she needs 3 turns of using it).

I assume Jude certainly would add to the accuracy of Quina's status, and am surprised you would disagree given you were just hyping it as adding to a physical status hit rate last week! <.<

Oh I do certainly. But my gut reaction is also to laugh at Vanish, making it not matter enough (Unless Jude is absoutely status raped?)

Idly, total disrespect for Kato damage/durability basically means he's done what Naoto did - got into Godlike on accurate status and nothing else. Naoto just has the downside of being susceptible to status herself while he isn't.

The difference being Kato has multiple match-ending statuses, while Naoto is just the one.
