Futch doesn't know who Kain is or what he thinks he is, but the one thing Futch does know is that Kain doesn't know the first thing about dragons. Everybody got that straight? Good. Futch has really been looking forward to restoring the honor of dragons and dragon riders everywhere by smacking Kain out of the skies. It's unfortunate that he can't be riding Bright into battle, but a sword is all he needs to prove to Kain that imitation is all well and good, but there's just no substitute for real dragons.
