Persona 4 - Reach Out to the Truth -First Battle- VS. Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song - Absolute Freedom -Gray- - Really good, really emotive piece. Reach Out to the Truth is amazing, but doesn't get anywhere near the same response as Freedom.
Aoshiro - A Trailblazer Surpasses Death VS. Doukutsu Monogatari - Last Battle - Ouch. So not close.
Wild ARMs 3 - A Person’s Warmth VS. Resident Evil 5 - Wind of Madness - Madness, for all that it's more my style, doesn't really go anywhere. Warmth is a pretty nice track, on the other hand.
Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden - Original Sin VS. Rozenkreuzstilette - Letzte Schlacht - Christ. I thought this was going to be a close match after Original Sin, since I remembered at least one Rozen song being good. But... yeah, it was even better than 'good', this isn't even close.
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean - Violent Storm VS. Street Fighter IV - Theme of Abel - Not bad, but... man, Baten Kaitos was a strong game for Sakuraba.
Tales of Legendia - Chasing Shirley VS. Digital Devil Saga 2 - Epic Battle - Meguro rock. Shirley's good, but not good enough.
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - The Lowest Layer VS. Portal - Still Alive - Lance is right, Still Alive isn't funny any more. It's still a better song than something that sounds like two songs at the same time, both of which are incredibly dull.
Xenosaga II - Fatal Fight VS. Pokemon Colosseum - Miror B’s Retro Groove - oh god who voted for fatal fight why. Meanwhile, Retro Groove continues to be awesome. Also, Ludicolo, but that's not important right now.
ANIME
.hack//SIGN - The World VS. Slayers Special - Within Unlimited Desire - Pretty easy choice. Only one of these songs doesn't irritate the fuck out of me.
.hack//Roots - Silly-Go-Round VS. Princess Mononoke - Princess Mononoke Theme Song - Ehhh. Really don't like Mononoke's music.
ARRANGED
Touhou Youyoumu ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom - ARCHIV-EAST - Border of Life VS. Final Fantasy IV - The Black Mages - Zeromus - Overly dramatic vs. one of the best Black Mages songs. I don't think this really needs a comment.
Final Fantasy IX - The Black Mages - Grand Cross VS. Kingdom Hearts series - drammatica -The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura- - The 13th Anthology - Also not close. I guess it's clear I'm a Black Mages fan?
