Deus Ex and its sequel are 5 bucks on Steam now

So if you wanna play one of the best games ever made, now would be the time. Also the sequel's there too I guess but we don't talk about that.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

I'll second the hype of DE1. It is fun all around.

Deus Ex is on sale again, this time for 2.49!  And the sequel too but see Trips.  Seriously, though, you have NO EXCUSE not to play this game.  It is awesome.

There have been more than 2,251 unprovoked shark attacks reported worldwide. There are no reports of death or injury as a result of playing games on Steam.

In other words, we have a summer sale at Steam, today till July 4 (which is of course an utterly meaningless and arbitrary date of no significance whatsoever, m i rite?).

For the deals of the day, most notable from my point of view are the Unreal bundle at 1/3 price and half off on Bioshock 2: Electro Bolt Boogaloo. Those of you who like L4D, Killing Floor is "a Co-op Survival Horror FPS" for five of your US Dollars.

TF2 is Half-Off until Monday. Which means it's 10 bucks.

Considering the amount of time I and many others have sunk into this game it is well, well worth the money. Buy it if you're not lame and don't have a Baby Computer. Beat Laggy to death with Fish.

Mentioned in Chat, but Games for Windows Marketplace (aka XBox Live for PC / chibi-Steam) has the Age of Empires III complete collection for 10 cents.  I also learned that it A) Requires Silverlight and B) inexplicably doesn't let you search for games - you must browse a catalog.  But hey, whatever, even if it's no Steam yet.

I also finally got my free download of Blacklight: Tango Down that came with my graphics card.  Which despite being psuedo-realistic includes the term "Hyper Reality Visor" in its blurb.  Uh maybe I'll give it a try someday when not TF2ing.  I guess.

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is 50 cents. It's a cute little Braid knockoff featuring pie and top hats, and will run on anything more advanced than a solar calculator. There's no reason not to buy it.

Just popping in to say that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is way better than you would think for a game related to Tomb Raider and is $5 until after 1 PM today. It has a fire breathing T Rex, a good mix of top down shooter action/puzzles/platforming, supports 2 player co-op, and isn't very processor intensive to boot. Get it.

Defense grid is a ton of fun, by the way. Worth the money to get.
